Must be the hat, yeah?
You don't see any fans of Yuan Shao defend his actions because he literally has no fans.
I've seen people who like him. For some reason.

Um, is not ”much public earthwork construction” the weirdest omen you’ve ever stumbled upon?
Though, I suppose the government officials have to bury all the pig-monster and/or its victims.
Are there any details regarding the terrain between Jiaozhi and Nanzhong as being treacherous or not? Asking because I am curious as to the details of Jin's invasion into Jiao considering they did not control Southern Jing and could only have attacked from that angle I assume.
This one is beyond my expertise. @sibenlun might be able to help?

Feigning madness is way cooler than claiming illness, anyhow.
Plus, had the original question been about that, Archlich could’ve asked if you never consumed faeces - and claimed they were delicious.
Alas…
What do you make of officials claiming illness for reasons that have everything to do with politics?
Treason. Lying to your Emperor is a grave sin and results in punishment.

No accomplishments??? Oi, didn’t Chunyu Qiong burn down that gate, during the He Jin-ruckus or whatnot?
Out of all of Yuan Shao's top Generals including Yan Liang, Wen Chou, Qu Yi, Chunyu Qiong, Zhang He, and Gao Lan. How would you rate them? Who was the best in the group and the worst out of the bunch?
Of those men, only Qu Yi has any recorded accomplishments under Yuan Shao.
Obviously Zhang He was an exceptional commander but he was not given the opportunity to demonstrate that before he joined Cao Cao.
Yan Liang and Wen Chou are said to have impressive reputations but there is nothing textual to support that.
Chunyu Qiong was evidently favored but again, he has no accomplishments on record.
Gap Lan is known purely by association with Zhang He.
Now, that doesn’t mean that these guys didn’t do anything, but no extant records illustrate their deeds.

Ah, just realized @grazztthedark said the same thing. ^^
Samurai Warriors 2 is hands down the best game koei's ever produced. I hope SW5 can have a semblance of what made 2 so great.
Don’t know if I’d say the best they ever made. Aerobiz was a classic.

Aye, such an underrated pearl that one?
Ever played Uncharted Waters 2? I would argue it’s the best thing they ever created.

Though it also sounds like he was pretty clumsy and/or has poor night-vision. :<
Unpopular opinion: Jia Xu’s great grandson is cooler than he is.

In a parallel (and just) universe:
“One peddled silk,
One miscellaneous crap,
Brothers of the same ilk,
Tragically wiped off the map.
A third possessed clarvoyance,
But couldn’t save ol’ Zan,
Thus ends The One True Alliance™
The last hope for the Han.
Subsequently the Han dynasty ended and the land was divided in three. One kingdom conquered another, itself and finally the third. Somewhere along the line Xiahou Ba slipped and ate his own horse. The end.”
RTK Read-Along Chapter 21
In A Plum Garden, Cao Cao Discusses Heroes; Using The Host’s Forces, Guan Yu Takes Xuzhou.
A set up chapter but one involving a famous conversation between two giants of their time and two warlord falls so a fair bit does happen. I did find it enjoyable thanks to the dialogue for some of the scenes, felt the scenes at Xuchang were the strongest parts
Xu Liu is more known as Xu Qui

I feel you, man, there really is no sense in continuing.
Adding insult to injury, I can’t fathom why the demise of the one true brotherhood™ wasn’t at least commemorated with a poem...

I think it’s a shame Luo Guanzhong didn’t make main characters out of Gongsun Zan, the fortune teller, silk trader and merchant. Surely that was the true Bromance of the three kingdoms.

What happened to the Yuan's line after Shao's (and his children's) and Shu's death?
Yuan Shu’s son had a respectable career in Sun Quan’s court, and his daughter became one of Sun Quan’s concubines. She was once offered the position of empress but declined.
I believe some lesser relative of Yuan Shao’s survived and carried on the family line but I don’t quite recall.

What happens right before and after? I had a quick check but couldn’t even find the correct part of the charter - all I noted was Cheng Yu suggesting Cao Cao should prepare to ascend the throne (just after the Zhao Yan-business).

Aye, excellent catalogue. Do note that Tubthumping is one of the least good songs they’ve ever released.

This album is still as good as I remember.
Gonna play this on a loop to further radicalize myself. Maybe start working out so I can protest better.
Remember everyone: crime is a social construct.

Qin Shi Huang never hurt anyone! (Who didn’t deserve it. Probably?)
who did u vote for
Neither of the two major options. For me the election boiled down to whether or not I think 200,000 dead Americans is better or worse than 200,000 dead Iraqi’s. Trump’s disastrous response to COVID brought about 200k domestic deaths. Biden’s support for the Iraq war brought about 200k Iraqi civ deaths.
As far as I’m concerned they should both be publicly shot for lying to the American people and engaging in their respective genocides.
