let it be noted that Carmen's would-have-been-last-words were her yelling "im sorry!" at her little brother, after hacking him back into their spy job and hacking them onto a mission that ended with them both plummeting to their apparent doom
and Juni's almost last words were telling her to close her eyes, not telling her the rope holding them up is about to snap and not wanting her to see their fiery death come rushing up at them
3-4 hours of falling later, they're disagreeing on how long they've been falling to their deaths for
cinematic sibling perfection

honestly though the thing i love most about spy kids 2 is just the siblings being normal 3D sibs with each other in the middle of this wild adventure
none of this "oldest always protects" or "enterally bratty younger sibling" or "hate each other right up until one is dying" pigeon holing- they can eye roll one moment and jump off a cliff for each other the next! they take turns figuring out what to do! they laugh at AND with each other! things aren't static tropes, it's just, the flow of two partners in crime who like hanging out together even when they find each other ridiculous or annoying! it's so nice. every scene with them feels like a three course meal. even the evil siblings have shades of this. i love it
