Disclaimer, I have dyslexia and english isn't my first language, i try to keep the player gender neutral but if you notice me referring to them with a specific gender, oops.

The scenario of there being more than one player in Overlord was one of my first ideas but not until now have I built upon it. Originally it followed the player clumsily navigating the new harsh terrain they found themselves in before being located by Ainz. From there on they try to gain the floor guardians' respect as a low level entity, stumping their expectations of something so weak, and becoming friends with the lich.

But that scenario never stuck, at least parts of it. What if instead of the player being a newcomer to the game they were the younger sibling to one of the 41 guild members who had passed oway. And said sibling, upon hearing that the game was shutting down, decided to play it one last time in their memory. Walking down the halls passing digital pillars of the guild's accomplishments to no place in particular, just enjoying the scenery before it was erased, or so they thought.

Before we continue I'd like to give our player a user name (also to make it easier to write this). So I purpose that they were named “Lille$kit”, aka Lille Skit which means little shit in Swedish, by their sibling. I don't know if the game Yggdrasil has multiple language translations but for the sake of this name lets say it does.

Speaking of Yggdrasil, that's the name of a tree/the center of the cosmos in Norse mythology where the gods would congregate and discuss governing assemblies daily. Neat, you could make a character out of this, i mean out of the 41 supreme beings only 14 (if i'm not wrong) were named so its free pickings to make up 27 unique ones.

Anyways back to business. I imagine that Lille is wary of Ainz, mainly because they don't know if he is just wearing his avatars likeness as they are themselves, or if he's a stranger in Lille's siblings' friends' bones. Eventually they calm down and drop their guard enough for them to have a one on one chat about their situation. Over time they became shit talk buddies where they could discuss freely with each other without the fear of being taken seriously.

The residents of Nazarick would misinterpret Lille's sorrow towards their siblings' absence as them being underleveled and thus can not join the supreme being. Which leaves them to also believe that Ainz doting and caring towards Lille is his way of prepping them before their training to become a being beyond this world. Such loyalty, such dedication, it's cathartic yet saddening to Nazarick knowing that one day Lille would leave too, but they don't show it. Unbeknownst to them Lille doesn't want to leave either.

Everytime the pair interact Ainz becomes more and more daddy material in Albedo's eyes.

Lille's relationship with the floor guardians would depend on who of the 41 guild members was their older sibling, and their race, and if they are human, rip. In general the guardians would be respectful and loyal mainly because of who they are related to, and partly of their relations to Ainz. Though if Lille's race is different to their siblings then the gap in their knowledge of their race's culture, habits and abilities would be due to. At least by what the guardians believe. Their sibling not educating them or not letting them socialise with their own kind. Another misconception the other guardians would have of Lille is their age, with how close they were with, insert supreme beings name here, they must have been pretty old to keep up with em. Which led them to believe that Lille, was x years old, in their races equivalent of dog years.

Due to the sudden change in their physicality and mentality (depending on what race they are) I imagine that Lille would cope by coming up with a loop hole as to why they help people/creatures. Their reasoning being that there's no fun if they can't, or aren't given the chanse, to fight when asked.

Going back to the whole Swedish thing, the architecture would send Lille through a spiral. Like, after the capitalistic fall of society you can't tell me that Japan (or wherever Suzuki lived) is the only country that fell to ruin. Sweden is known for its greenery and gnarly architecture, specifically the older ones, and to live in a time where such things are probably lost to time would be soulcrushing. So to wake up in a world such as Yggdrasil would be a dream come true to a history buff or an architect.

Also, Lille being Swedish in a place where the residents mostly speak English. Or Japanese, depending on whether we're talking about the sub or dub version. Would also be kind of soulcrushing sense they are the only one speaking that language and if they forget something they can never get it back. So, as to lift the mood and come up with a fun scenario. I imagine that on one of Ainz's many travels he finds a quaint little town that speaks in a very familiar dialect to his friend. So to broaden their horizon, and to get them out of the tomb and have something to do, he appoints them the official translator for him and his subordinates.

Another thing about Swedish, when I talk in English for about a good 20-30 minutes I start to drivel, and after a while it gets so annoying that I just stop talking entirely (also because It tires me to talk that long). I think it has something to do with my accent because this never happens when I talk in my mother language. If Lille is troubled by this then i can see the guardians kinda baby them if talking alone is making them this tired.

While Ainz and Lille might be from the same world and can confide in each other he's a busy lich and thus can't comfort his friend when their depressive episodes flare up. And due to the floor guardians also being busy conjuring his plans for world domination he left the job to one of the battle maids to frequently be at Lille's beck and call, not only for protection but also just help in general. But one particular specimen that resides deep within the depths of Nazarick caught Lille's interest through splendor and extravagance, is Pandora's Actor. Not only does he manage to distract the future godling from their situation but also act as a good companion, when he himself isn't busy overseeing the treasury. (And whatever job Ainz gives him later in the series if I'm not wrong).

Their first meeting however started kinda rocky when Ainz introduced the pair, forgetting a key detail. When Lille was younger they proved quite the loud mouth and pissed off the lich whenever they were in close vicinity of one another. Leading to Ainz writing down in Pandora's code? that he was to only address Lille by a nickname. A nickname that made their face turn red, a nickname only siblings would come up with, Lilles sibling, that sibling… Safe to say that Ainz would give Pandora, and himself, a scolding for forgetting to command the over dramatic dopelgänger to not call them that. Despite… that, Lille grew past the mistake and grew closer with Pandora.

Hmmm, you know, as much as I like the separation of the “real” world and Yggdrasil I feel like there's some missed potential, with how Shalltears talk about voice actors and how they bring souls into otherwise soulless beings. I'd like to see more of their interpretation of “real” world stuff. From how the “real” world is in the universe of Overlord to them I think they would see it as a training ground of sorts. Where supreme beings go through the worst case scenarios to train their wits, charisma and strength. An absolute hellscape that would leave the guardians floored with how brutal it is. It would heighten their admiration for Ainz if he's gone through torture beyond what Nazarick has ever witnessed and still stand proud before them.

Speaking off “real” world and Pandora, what if his want to be buddy buddy with Lille led him to overhear things that would, no doubt, lead to his execution if he slipped up. Rumors would spread fast in the tomb if he reacted a bit too fast to the mention of the lost ones name, or if he insinuated anything about their passing. But Pandora is the keeper of treasures, his job is to oversee that they have not been tampered with or stolen, but above all, he's loyal. Not just to his creator, but to his acolytes… Idk man I just like the idea of someone finding out of Lille's siblings death because, let's be honest, no one in Nazarick would take the news lightly. There would be riots.

But anyways, from then on Pandora is a lot more understanding to Lille's predicament and doesn't react negatively when they have an outburst. Meanwhile Lille learns to move on, eventually viewing Pandora as not just a friend but as family as well.

And that's all i got for now that i can remember except for uuuurrm… Something something, Lille's sibling hanging a banner Lille made when they were younger up in one of Nazarick's halls the same way someone would hang up their kids drawing on a fridge.

I see you are truly invested in this concept! I'll be honest, I'm usually one who does not care much for the Supreme Beings much, but you bring some interesting ideas that got me thinking 🤔

For starters, the idea of an low level player is very intriguing, it could lead to xome exploration of how one gains exp and grows in levels in the new world. Making them be young is also a nice parallel with their levels, as they grow with exp they also grow in actual experience and maturity.

Ainz being essentially responsible for them would really lead the story into some uncharted territory, making our bone daddy an actual dad of sorts.

Also I totally agree with you about having the NPCs trying to comprehend IRL stuff with their fantasy game mentality, really good comedic potential there.

Lastly, when it comes to language barriers in Overlord, it is canon that, despite different cultures having different dialects, they can all understand each other by speech, as likely an world item caused an universal translation across all languages.

Anyway, very cool concept! I can see you put a lot of thought behind it, and that's awesome. Any person eho cares that deeply about Overlord is a good person on my book! Lol
