people shouldn’t be mad at s3 ending just because their favorite character dies. like bro you’re watching the murder games, did you expect everyone to live bffr.

i understand being angry at a lot of plots being left undeveloped and various plot holes and overall feeling like this season was rushed, and i myself am disappointed in that.

but still you’re watching a thriller/horror not my little pony power of friendship. you can be disappointed in bad directing, but grow up and be able to take a sad ending. it is ok to prefer happy endings/fluff but you can’t expect to have it every time and not getting it is not a reason to be complaining.

Listen, I’ll preface this with saying i love the headcanon of Daeho & Jungbae having a healthy father/son dynamic as much as the next guy, but some of you guys found family them way too close to the sun and treat that headcanon like it's the gospel and will even push the father/son dynamic as a way of censoring other interpretations (romantic) of their relationship. Pretending as if these two grown men who are 51 and 37 btw aren’t constantly yapping about being ex-marines and clearly consider each other as equals. Their canon dynamic is literally spelled out for us every time they interact and still, some ppl for bullshit reasons (not finding Jungbae attractive enough for daeho) will deliberately misinterpret this bc they literally cannot excuse being uncomfortable with ppl shipping them in any other way…like yes it would be different (still not problematic tho) if they did have that clear parent/child parallel like with guemja and hyunju or gihun with junhee, but they literally don’t. Y’all are making it up. it’s a headcanon like come on and girl u can just say ur not into it or just prefer the paternal version more that’s all fine and dandy, but what we’re NOT gonna do is go around and act like these two grown ass adults who have known each other for less than four days are fucking blood related and that jungbae fucking breastfed Daeho himself and that daebae is a proship and the ppl who enjoy what is essentially one of the most harmless and cute ships are disgusting incestuous criminals. It’s bizarre how it’s considered taboo to ship Daeho with the person he canonically had the closest bond with. Like some of yall need to stop policing ships based on personal discomfort, stop with the nuclearization of found family dynamics and stop the rampant infantalization of daeho that definitely has something to do with this too but that one could be a discussion for another day (and also not gonna even touch on how daehun gets a pass (yes i will: pretty privilege))

I'm baffled that there aren't more complaints about Nam-gyu's season 3 arc. He's one of many characters that got ruined.

I wanted him to be more a threat. He was more interesting in s2, but his s3 self feels like a parody of substance addicts.

It's like the ditzy fanon yaoi version of Nam-gyu became canon... aish, maybe I was wrong about him then 😭

I wish people would stop obsessing over individual characters being "wasted" or "deserving better". Squid game isn't actually a reality show where every individual needs to be showcased.

The pacing and phenomenal storytelling would be so damaged by pausing to deep dive into every single player backstory/relationship/potential involved.

Player 226(Kim Yeong-Sam) had limitless potential. The writers fumbled a legit villain who could've showcased greed better than any of the finalists. Give him pusher guy's role(Player 96), lean into him and Nam-Gyu teaming up to kill other hiders,make a callback to his beef with Daeho and have him steal the kill from Gihun creating seeds of tension between the two, make him hunt and kill Player 100 as he promises establishing to the audience that big bad was always under our noses. Let him speak more and come into his own. Nah just feed him as a easy kill for Hyun-Ju, that'll make more sense 🤦🏻‍♂️ hate him or not, you can't deny he would've brought some depth to a dull finale. What pisses me off is the amount of focus he has in season 2 just to for all that buildup and hype be flushed down the toilet in season 3.

I think Jun-ho gets flamed a lot for being pretty useless the whole show but that’s part of what makes it all the more tragic if you think about it

Never been a fan of the "Daeho loves tigers/ favorite animal is tiger/ tiger aesthetic" bandwagon bc shouldn’t it be the opposite?? Like…his name is a constant reminder of his dad’s very high expectations of him, which Daeho failed to achieve. If anything he probably feels shame when he considers his namesake

I hope Hwang Dong-Hyuk doesn't experience the unneccessary stupid flack Kohei Horikoshi experienced on social media after the third season aired just because he didn't canonize 457.

And i personally hope 457 doesn't be canonized and Gi-Hun kills In-Ho.
