“You… sorta adopted me in a way… not like er… a family. I guess?” As he patted her back, she felt comforted by his familial touch. She thought she would have to do everything alone, knowing no one would be willing to stand by her side. She had to fight through the palace by herself.
“Outsider…” Ann and Morgana, of course, wanted to help after learning about this ability. And it would be easier to have partners.
“…” Instead of putting the ginger in the ramen, she snatched a piece with her chopsticks and ate it with an audible crunch.
“I hated what that guy was doin’. I couldn’t stand and watch it get worse…”

"It's... not like I adopted ya, but I get what you mean." He nodded, patting her back gently. He knew what she meant, since no one understood him and his problems when he entered Shujin as well. Bleaching his hair to mainly support Ann, changing everything about him because he hated himself... and after the incident with Kamoshida, everyone on the track team dubbed him a traitor, in their eyes. It hurt so deeply until he got his Persona and realized he could stand on his own two feet.
"It sucks bein' an outsider... y'know? But it's alright when you got a few friends who support you. Like you, Ann and even Morgana." He gave her a small nudge and offered her more ginger for her ramen. "If it weren't for you, I would've been a nobody, stuck in my own head and Kamoshida's reign over the school. So thanks... for everythin', Naomi. I owe ya one."
That meant more pipin' hot bowls of ramen too.

❛ i need to get out of here. ❜
❛ are you joking? why would you do that? ❜
❛ you can't seriously expect me to willingly go with someone like you. ❜
❛ you're a murderer! ❜
❛ you're a thief! ❜
❛ you're a con - artist! ❜
❛ i can't believe i trusted you. ❜
❛ i can't believe you fell for that. ❜
❛ how stupid do you think i am? ❜
❛ just how stupid can you be? ❜
❛ it was so easy, you never noticed a thing. ❜
❛ shhh. no one needs to know. ❜
❛ c'mon. you aren't going to turn me in. ❜
❛ don't be rash. there's still a way out. ❜
❛ what do we do? they're coming for us! ❜
❛ they know it was you! ❜
❛ you think you are invincible, but they're going to catch you someday. ❜
❛ go. get out of here before i change my mind. ❜
❛ i didn't see you. ❜
❛ fine. just go! ❜
they're coming from the south, just so you know. ❜
❛ don't thank me yet, you still have to get away in full. ❜
❛ they aren't going to let this go easily. ❜
❛ good luck out there. ❜
❛ wish me luck. ❜
❛ i'll come back for you. ❜
❛ i will get you out, i swear it. ❜

She took a moment to think of a strategic plan. She was no leader for an actual battle but could throw in suggestions and theories.
“I think they either learned not to mess with you, but you claimed these Shadows are not smart. If I recall correctly… Unless they’re waiting for the right moment of weakness.”
Thinking while on the move, it’s something that felt like the norm for her.
“…There could also be a big Shadow… er… boss coming up. It’s what they do in RPGs get a bunch of good items and no monsters show up before the big one shows up.”
And so he did. Moving forward, he started sprinting ahead, turning corners to look for any treasure chests with something useful in them. Only two so far, gaining some armor for Takeba and a Snuff Soul for when his SP ran out. Other grinding sessions were way better, but he'll take what he can get.
Right as he turned around to check on the other, he motioned her to follow him, now walking at a slower pace.
"Weird... they're not showing up. Yet."

“Three days after… all from the same village.”
She looks for the most recent poster. “Well for one, all these missing posters stating their missing dates so we shouldn’t waste too much daylight. So we need to make haste to Qiaoying Village. We have three days or less to catch them… if I’m correct, the Pied Piper will strike soon and we also need to be alert.”
The gears turned quickly as determination fueled her to stop the pattern of missing children.
“I’m not one hundred percent familiar with Liyue, so I’m counting on you to help me.”
"If we rely on the patterns and age groups of these missing statistics, that would be a natural conclusion to make. I believe it is highly likely that this 'Pied Piper' of ours will strike again- have a look at this."
The consultant passes his newfound companion a stack of missing posters. At a glance, nothing appears to be amiss. They look like any other missing posters issued by the Millelith. But upon closer inspection, Naomi could eventually recognise that each child's missing date was only 3 days after the first.
Almost all of them seem to be from Qiaoying village in particular.
"What do you advise we do at the current moment in time?"
