So..... it's been a while since I posted but I do have the best excuse for it though.... I had a baby! (Shock horror). Me and the little pumpkin are doing well and to celebrate his first Halloween I made him this from a kit sold by Lalylala (go check out her stuff on etsy she is amazing!)

Welcome to my abode! I bought this bat wall mount at Halloween from Pottery Barn (shipping to the U.k was horrendous!). I absolutely love it but thought it was missing something so decided to hang a cross stitch project in the centre to fill the void. I think it looks pretty kick ass!

We made some cakes and they where AMAZING! Spiced apple cake with buttercream frosting and sugar glaze. Incredibly yummy, but it did take us a good hour of soul searching before we dived in and ate one.

So it's been a while since I last posted. I could write a lengthy explanation as to why but I won't, because I have no excuse other than I'm lazy. Anyway, Crochet has taken a slight knock at the moment. Mainly because I've been busy trying my hand at needle felting and plus there has been 0 crochet projects that have taken my eye. Seriously I'm sick of seeing temperature blankets and now this Jelly fish amigurumi that's making the rounds. Yes, it's a jelly fish. Yes there have been patterns available to make them for eons but now everyone is like "AMG this is the most amazing thing eva! This is such a new and creative idea!. Don't get me wrong it is cute, but there have been jelly fish patterns in books and on websites for years so fuck knows why it's so popular all of a sudden. But back to the topic at hand, I've had a go at needle felting and I must admit I am hooked, or should that be stabbed?. I made a magpie that is currently sitting on top of our rams skull. It's currently blind as I'm waiting for the glass eyes I ordered to arrive from China ( thank you Wish).

Totoro <3 Crocheted with Red heart soft Aran weight acrylic. My local wool shop didn't stock the right sized eyes so I had to make my own. Still, he looks pretty fucking awesome.

Mr. Jack Rabbit. Our crochetdermy family is getting bigger by the month. This was an interesting pattern, but jesus christ the alpaca yarn was a living nightmare to work with. The pattern also called for using fishing line to create the whiskers (my roll of line is hidden in my basement somewhere) so I decided to collect all our cats shed whiskers that pop up around the house to use instead.

It's an eyeball. A Cosmic cat nip eyeball. Took an hour of my time and a small amount of scrap cotton yarn from my stash. But LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACE! He's tripping balls, or should that be tripping eyeballs?
