growing up in the Jehovah's witness religion, they wanted me to become a submissive young woman for a husband (the religion is rooted in misogyny btw) who dresses modestly and has a bunch of kids raised in the religion but I'm happier with the outcome I am now as a transgender man.

my heart genuinely aches for the queer members actively repressing themselves because the religion discourages their identity and existence. it was hell being queer and being subjected to videos about why that's wrong and why you shouldn't do anything "worldly". it's a high control group built off of fear and manipulation if vulnerable people/families.

the Jehovah's witness religion should die.
