Bashir had been special. Pulaski knew that this was in part an effect of his genetic enhancements, but it had not simply been that. The intelligence, the grace, the physical beauty, perhaps, but that had not been the sum of Julian Bashir. What had impressed itself most upon Pulaski was his moral core, and that was Bashir's own. It owed nothing to any creator; it was a system of considered ethics and a deep well of personal courage that had informed all his choices. ‘Do no harm’ was a good rule to live by, but ‘Do good with everything you have?’ That was a great deal better, particularly when you had the gifts of Julian Bashir.

have said this before but i think combos would have a much better rep in edh if it was considered good form to tell people when you have a combo piece on board. like if you play a painter's servant into a table that doesn't know about grindstone then, yknow, they're basically losing because they don't know enough magic the gathering card trivia

Yes! I think more creatures should just have a profession with no other creature type, then there’s multiple arts of the creature in the set as different races. Kinda like they did with Beast In Show for the last un-set.
slight gripe of mine is that when mtg prints tokens for just "warrior" or "soldier" they're so often just . humans . if the token's only restriction is their career then let them have diversity . mix it up sometime

Pretty annoying how many more people worry about proxy-ing in card games than they are about "investors" buying up all the products to artificially raise the price of cards.

Heartbreaking to discover that many of my favorite recipes were written on a cocktail napkin in 1992 and are now held together mostly by dried batter and THEY DON’T EVEN MATCH HOW MY PARENTS COOK THEM
I’m going though my parents recipe box and digitizing them so the recipes don’t die when the sauce-stained index cards give out. And they’ve always been casual about recipes because they’re good cooks. But come on. What IS this? This is a tragedy of record keeping.
