My thoughts on a possible Wanderer x Dottore clash in 6.x:

Wanderer has arrived in Nod-Krai saying that he’s there to “settle an old score.” He’s definitely seeking revenge against the Fatui, most likely Dottore, or even Pierro (could be both tbh).

I’ve seen a lot of people say that he’s going to kill Dottore, which could be feasible since he has his powers from before but also a Vision, but I don’t think it’s so simple. Mainly because I believe there are two versions Dottore in Teyvat right now.

Nahida asked him to delete all of his segments in exchange for the electro gnosis, which he does. But, that was the Omega Build, the version “in the prime of his life.”

We don’t know how the segments work so what I’m about to say is all speculation.

I think that there’s the original version of Dottore (the actual scholar who was recruited by Pierro) and the various segments that he made. Nahida asked a segment to delete the other segments. I believe that even if a segment has the authority to do that (and he had, as we saw in the archon quest, unless he lied and didn’t delete them) I don’t think that a segment could “delete” the original version (the dad if you will) like he deleted the others.

It could be that there’s no “original version” anymore and that only the segments are alive but I don’t think that’s the case and I’ll explain why.

Firstly, how did Dottore kill the segments exactly? We didn’t see him do anything on screen. I don’t know how he created the segments in the first place (like he’d tell us) but my guess is that 1) he created the vessels (puppets, maybe?) and sealed within each one a version of him or 2) he has some kind of artifact that he used to create them (I can’t think of anything else, sorry). In both cases I can only see the “original one” deleting the segments since he’s the one that created them in the first place and I assume is the one that has access to whatever he used to do so.

We know that the Dottore in Signora’s funeral is either one of the older segments or even the original one, and he says this thing when Capitano asks about Scaramouche and the electro gnosis:

The “Divine Gaze” is a Vision. Wanderer didn’t have a Vision during that time (the teaser is before the Sumeru archon quest chronologically) which confirms that this Dottore was aware of Wanderer getting a vision before he got it. That also means that he’s probably aware of the changes that happened to Irminsul when Wanderer tried to delete himself from it. “He will make his next move” hints that Dottore knows Wanderer is going to attack him or Pierro/another Harbinger and probably has prepared for it because let’s be honest, he wouldn’t let himself die that way. Also, him saying this line confirms he survives whatever is going to happen in Nod-Krai because how would he be there telling them that if he didn’t? And in the case that he doesn’t survive Nod-Krai, I believe there’s another Dottore waiting for us in Snezhnaya, because the Dottore that’s in Nod-Krai is the Omega Build as we saw in the first teaser we got.

It would be very funny reading this in 1-2 years and nothing I said was true 😭
