This is based on the prompt "Winter Ball" proposed by @sso-oc-events in their potential list way back in August and after working on this on-and-off for four months, I'm done! I wasn't even sure if I should post this since the more I worked on it, the further it felt from StarStable but hey! It's okay, this is an alternative universe lol.

Anyway, I ended up throwing in an Easter egg or two (to keep Star Stable loosely relevant to the painting) if you can catch them.

I had a lot of fun with this even if there was no official event for it this year, but anyone else can join too if they want... (plz).

Upcoming OC events!

These are currently in drafts, but since it's been quiet for a bit I figure I should let you know what's coming up.

September - Medieval / ren faire theme October - Halloween (maybe general autumn theme too?) November - break month? December - Winter ball (fancy dresses, suits, etc!), and possibly running a general winter holiday event and/or new year's party even if they might have to run simultaneously.

Obviously nobody has to participate in any event, so running 3 events in December (winter ball, holiday celebration, and new year's) would just mean that you can pick and choose which event speaks more to you for your OC creativity. But I'm not sure about it, so feel free to let me know how you feel about December events. (The winter ball is a must for me, since seeing similar events on IG is what inspired this whole blog, and I want to see OCs dressed up in ballgowns and other fancy clothes... maybe I could schedule the ball for December 1st instead though, and treat it as November's event?)

Summer Greetings from Sonelle and Cricket!

I didn't really have time to do a better artwork since I myself am on vacation, however I still wanted to take part in @sso-oc-events summertime event!! So here is a quick doodle.

Sonya and Estelle decided to take Cricket to the beach, since Estelle's horse, Eden, doesn't really like water. Also yes, those are matching swimsuits AND flowers.

I didn't feel like participating in the sso beach party event and then I changed my mind at the very last minute so you get a quick and dirty drawing of Siri and Stargazer chillaxing in the sand :p

Stargazer's prolly a little too small here, and I was gonna draw a halter on him and forgot, but whatever.

Lexa's playing the guitar for anyone at the beach party! You can join her with your own instrument, sing along, ask for special songs, or just listen along! :)

Iris is sunbathing! She's really just flipping around every 30mins amd getting that tan in; if you try talking to her, she'll be confused af like some post-nap drunkness.

apart from that, nobody rlly goes to the beach. Maybe Cody, if someone convinces him. :)

This was originally going to be my main post for the SSO Beach Festival event but it just wasn't coming out the way I would have liked it to.

It was a mix between kind of liking the original sketch, painting in the background and seeing the potential, painting and not really liking how it was turning out, then painting some more and kind of liking it, and then just kind of scrapping it all together.

However, since I worked on it and kind of still liked the composition, why not post it as extra? So here's some extra food!
