I don’t mean in terms of breed (99.9% of cats are randombred) but in terms of colour.

with two copies of Siamese-type pointing, you get a cat with blue eyes and distinct points (like my Belphie), while with two copies of the Burmese-type pointing, you get indistinct points and fully pigmented eyes.

this girl you’ve found has aqua-green eyes and intermediate pointing, which means she has one copy of each gene. this is definitely an unusual colouration! I’d call her a ‘seal mink with white’ for colour, and ‘domestic shorthair’ for breed.

Nobody told me that Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management was interesting. Whenever she mentions some type of tool or area of life, she gives an account of its development from the Stone Age (not always a correct account from the perspective of modern archaeology/anthropology, but still). If I were an 1860s newlywed I would be hooked on this book.

During a lecture on epic poetry like the Mahābhārata and Iliad in my first year of college, my professor said, “When the whole world dies, even when brick and mortar is destroyed, memory survives. It survives and lives on in generations to come. And literature carries that memory. All your geography, your economics, your psychology, they’re all based on the memory of man, passed down generations after generations. These epic poems and literature we are studying right now is to remind us that we too will be memories one day. And therefore, let us be good memories” and I think a piece of this lecture will live on in me wherever I go.
