~ I really can't help but wonder WHAT Rory's life could have been like
There are so many points in the show that change her pathway drastically, some maybe not so much, but it is really interesting to think about, specificalyl
When she drops out of Yale and spends time in the DAR - (this one I don't think affects her SO much, but it is something to think about)
When she turns down the ProJo job to go for the Reston Fellowship
When she turns down Logan's proposal
And a direct offshoot of the last one, having her pick of newspapers
I think when we grew up watching Rory we fully expected her to be set up for life. She had the drive, she had the skills, she certainly had the resume (I mean.. I think interning under Mitchum Huntzberger would be a huge leg up).
So it feels entirely weird to see her struggling later on in her life! Especially with her affair with Logan and her lack of money when she absolutely still has her Grandmother (and I am absolutely certain that Richard would have left her SOMETHING) and she has her (still realistically loaded) Father??

Saja boys literally made it to the Idol Awards with ONE SONG
Huntr/x had been 5 year consecutive winners but what happened to all the other groups that were supposedly also "competing" at this time 😭😭
imagine you debut a new album and it does SO well and you're on your way to the idol awards to compete with HUNTR/X and then freaking SAJA BOYS with ONE ASS SONG beat you out because of some random freak interest ???
they debuted their "Your Idol" song AT THEIR OWN CONCERT. AFTER. THE IDOL AWARDS.
"Artist Of The Year " "Best New Artists" "Song of the Year" "World Wide Icon of the Year"
WITH ONE SONG??!?!
TF 😭😭
I would've been SO PISSED

Nothing makes my blood boil more than after Chris and Lorelai are married and he becomes a DOUCHE about Luke
I get it. Look I get it. Chris doesn't trust Lorelai and trust that she is over Luke. BUT THATS MY PROBLEM!!!
HE was the one who wanted to marry her HE was the one who pushed her into it HE was the one who got into this knowing she wanted to take it slow, knowing that Luke and her had just got out of a serious relationship.
Both Luke and Chris were not okay with the other but Luke had said it.. "I'm never going to be okay with Chris being in your life." They discussed it.
And again. Luke and Lorelai had a past relationship. But if you marry someone you don't trust you get what happened: Chris not showing up when Richard was in the hospital because his phone was off and then getting upset and taking off because Luke was there.
Becoming upset with Lorelai for being hesitant about having children and pushing her because he saw her holding a kid next to Luke.
It was never gonna work, not because Lorelai didn't love him but because he never trusted her

Okay I'm not Logan's hugest fan - he's absolutely a flawed character and he's got his moments.
But I do absolutely have to stand on his side in certain moments.
When Rory writes the article "Let Them Drink Cosmos" (brilliant title btw) he is so so justified in telling her that she also wasn't paying rent. Now she is different than growing up a trust fun kid but she did get a lot of her education and money handed to her, and for her to realize that is important.
My big time all time thing is when he tells Lucy that Marty and Rory knew each other. He's honestly so real for that?? I fully understand Rory's emotions and why she was upset but she also LIED about something big to her close friend and Logan wasn't okay with that.
Anyways those are just my thoughts ꩜꩜꩜

something I love about kpop demon hunters is that when Rumi heals from her shame, she does it on her own.
Now I don't mean she did it solo. It was so many things that came together to push her to heal. It was Celine not accepting who she was, it was Jinu who left her, was the cause of her reveal, but whom she still trusted. It was Mira and Zoey, who she realizes that they loved her every part of her. But literally none of that was seen.
From the moment we last see Rumi, she has had a heartbreaking conversation with Celine about how she was never fully loved, never fully accepted. And I think in that conversation, Rumi realizes that she never really loved herself, all of herself, trying to hide her shame and patterns.
There is something so powerful about the fact that she seems to heal on her own. Now again, she didn't. The point of the movie is standing together and being stronger together. But it's so empowering to see someone suffering decide that they're going to change the narrative. Something that is shameful, they decide shouldn't be to them anymore. He patterns turned iridescent the second she lets in the love she has. But she has to let in that love.
Her shame is hiding who she is, and the second she shows, that shame heals, grows beautiful and vulnerable. But she chooses to let people see her. It was really empowering to see.

AN EXPANSION:
I THINK RUMI KNEW THIS!!
Specifically: when she talks to celine at the end of the movie she is so adamant about not lying anymore, about not covering up and keeping secrets again. It's for her own sake, but also for Mira and Zoey's. I think deep down she knows they don't care that she's a demon (use the song This is What it Sounds Like, where she says "I don't know why I didn't trust you to be on my side"). Rumi knows that she hurt them by not trusting them with who she really was.
Okay the thing is I don't think Mira and Zoey would have actually cared at all that Rumi was a demon. The 100% would have been on her side, understanding that the honmoon wasn't just for the world, but also for Rumi and for her freedom.
I think that they would've helped her feel more comfortable showing her scars and accepting herself, even if they didn't fully understand.
If we take the scene where they discover for a demon, never once do they mention her being a demon being the problem, its "why would you hide this from us" and "we can't tell your truths from your lies"
If has absolutely nothing to do with who she is, but what she did - not tell them. They were hurt and betrayed because Rumi didn't trust them to be on her side, because they shared everything with each other except one of them was keeping a life-changing secret this whole time.
Mira raises her weapon first, not because Rumi is a demon but because her family didn't trust her enough to talk to her. Remember that Mira repeatedly asked Rumi what was going on with her and knew she was hiding something. Rumi promised that nothing was, and when Mira found out, Rumi's promises were broken - including the unspoken promise of family.
Zoey raises her weapon slowly and unsure. I saw someone mention in passing that she usually fights demons with three of her knives but only raises one against Rumi. Rumi wasn't talking to her, wasn't communicated, and Zoey couldn't understand where she was coming from. Without having a place in Rumi, she was lost and went to the only other place she knew, Mira.
It wasn't to fight Rumi, but to protect themselves from getting hurt more. Not physically, but emotionally.

I really like how they wrote Mira from KPDH because she's off the bat presented as the "mean one" - or the one that traditionally in media: doesn't smile, doesn't like cute things, very into violence and dark stuff, is blunt, rude, and unfeeling.
Now Mira as a character is presented as exactly this: but then the writers/creators did something that I NEVER seem to see which is give these character archetypes depth
yes shes the darkest one in the group, yes she wears the most goth looking makeup and never smiles in the promos BUT she is still a human she still FEELS. They didn't make her this way and make her unlovable, they just made it apart of who she was. How she likes to act and dress and present herself doesn't make her any less human!!
I was so worried in the closing bathhouse scene that they wouldn't make her cry because she was "too tough" and "crying is for losers and babies" BUT THEY DIIIDDDNNTT
THEY TREATED HER SO WELLLLL She was in on all the antics and just as perfect as all of them
