Shane

Guess who moans during kisses? It’s Shane. Doesn’t initiate often but when he does he forgets anything else is around him. Though the tiniest bit sloppy he is a very gentle kisser. Also the most prone to do one of those kisses in the movies where they pick them up and spin them. Shane is surprisingly corny.

Abigail

Another very fiery, passionate kisser once you get her going, and always has a playful little smile when she’s giving you a good make out session. Her regular kisses are quick and direct--faintly taste of pumpkin and cinnamon--but are enough to warm you through a cool winter night. Only uses tongue minimally, but be careful--she bites sometimes!

Emily

Emily is an erratic but delightful kisser! She isn’t the biggest on making out but her kisses greet you every morning, noon, and night with unbelievable warmth and love behind them. Maru

Alex and the Farmer (Put most under the cut because it got long!)

New person in town? Alex is pretty interested in some fresh meat–whether just having a new face walk around or making a friend.

He does come off as cocky and arrogant mostly because he isn’t sure whether or not he wants to impress them or make them jealous of how cool he is. Either will give him a massive ego boost.

It takes some time for Alex to come to the sobering conclusion that gridball doesn’t impress the new person too much since they never really were into gridball in the first place, so he tries to come up with other ways to show off his physical prowess.

Alex begins to actively seek out the new person to give them more ‘Excellent Impressions’ of himself to them. He may go out of his way to pose in ways that give him opportunities to flex.

At this point he still isn’t sure if he wants them to like him or be jealous of him.

The farmer isn’t overly reactive to any of his approaches, which baffles Alex. These tricks always got attention in the past, didn’t they? Why don’t they work this time.

Instead, he decides to set aside a potential ego boost and just tries to make small talk with them. The person was so easy-going and accepting of Alex’s small change in attitude that he very quickly shared his past with his father and his dog, Dusty.

He is baffled at the genuine emotional response from the farmer, as he’s only used his father as inspiration to further train in spite–and used it as a tool that made him strong. He truthfully feels no remorse about how his father treated him–and this very much impressed the farmer.

Alex is told by them that overcoming that emotional adversity must have taken so much strength, and it was then that Alex realized that to make himself truly stronger, he  needed to overcome more challenges.

Inspired by his response from the farmer, he lightly begins to hit the books. He often calls Haley to ask questions about certain subjects (since she did well in school and has a computer at her disposal,) though often was stumbling for words when she asked why he needed her help on this so much.

He still works out daily, as now he feels like he really is impressing this person, but not in the immature way he wanted beforehand. He is genuinely trying to be both his best and most honest self for them.

Bonding with them through his much-needed tutoring and times to chat about their lives and thoughts about things (he finally understands phi-lo-so-phy) made Alex look forward to spending even more time with the farmer as much as possible. He’s a very passionate individual that will put 100% into things he’s interested in, and all the time together only saturated his want to give their friendship 100%!

(He actually has a very big crush on them. He just doesn’t know it yet.)

As he develops into this more mature version of himself, Alex finally revisits his memories of his mother, and after being confronted on the beach about his keepsake, decided to disclose the other half of his childhood with his mother. Thought painful to share and revisit, it was cathartic to not push aside the memories, and even more so to have someone to talk to about it that cared.

He wanted to thank this person by giving them a nice dinner! But he sure couldn’t cook. And wasn’t about to ask his grandma.

It took a lot of self-convincing to walk inside the saloon and speak to Gus, as Alex does not want to be around alcohol, but after maturing a bit, opened his mind and heart to Gus, who is a wonderful man and generous shop owner. He agrees to host their surprise date, even offering his violin skills!

Alex felt butterflies when Gus called it a ‘date.’ He’s never felt that weird and UNCOOL in his life ever? Does he really like this person? He sure didn’t not like them… His mind is racing and he���s nervous.

After blurting out his confession at the wonderful date, he got too nervous to say anything else so he shoved meat in his face instead. A safe approach.

Afterwards, Alex is surprisingly bashful and awkward, but tries even harder to impress them with his new education about subjects. Even after them knowing each other for a while, his desire to impress them never left.

Every year at the Flower Dance, he asks Haley if he could borrow the Flower Crown from her just for a couple minutes so his date could wear it. Haley accepts on the condition that he’ll give her free ice cream all Summer.

Alex gives the Biggest and Tightest hugs in the entire world. And BOY is he a hugger. The farmer is definitely going to feel his strength in every hug.

He always lets them touch his muscles, and will pose and ask in public like a dork. He always recommends a squeeze on the glutes.

During Winter, Alex drags the farmer to spend a day at the spa with him to just let their muscles… relax… as long as nobody else is there.

Where Alex fails in verbal affection he makes up for in kisses he steals from the farmer! He steals at least three a day he just loves hugging and kissing!!! He has so much love to give you!!! You can’t even believe it!

BIG BONUS POINTS to the farmer if they’re a dog person. Especially big dogs.

Leah and Farmer out Foraging

It was totally and 100% Leah’s idea to start foraging together because 1) She loves having out with the farmer and 2) She REALLY could use the tips.

Leah starts with small talk at first while they’re exploring, usually just talking about fruits and vegetables they can find along the way.

She’s amazed at how quickly the farmer can find everything honestly? How did this person find Five bundles of grapes in two minutes? This is crazy!?

Of course this is part of her secret plan to get closer to them because she also has a crush on farmer so, she tries to get them to talk a little more.

The foraging adventures always result in a picnic at the end where they make a nice foraged salad and just sit and enjoy the forest.

Leah slowly prods into the farmers life, sharing little bits about herself in the process. She specifically likes to ask what the farmer thinks is beautiful, and what they think about art.

She shares that she studied art in a city pretty far from the valley, but was ridiculed often (especially by her ex Kel) because it wasn’t a lucrative job. Leah often asks or seeks reassurance from the farmer that her love and passion for expression isn’t a waste of time.

She also shares that growing up in the concrete jungle was a huge weight on her inspiration, and she looked around helplessly for affordable places to move out to that were closer to nature. At first, she admits that she was very unconfident about moving to Stardew Valley because it was so far from everything, and she’d never been in such a remote area before. But she said it was well worth it, even if food can be hard to find, since she has such “Lovely Friends” (she’s talking about you.)

Leah also shares some pretty intimate things with the farmer, like how she never eats meat anymore because of all the dirty secrets she learned about the meat industry when doing a report in high school. She is an extremely empathetic person, especially towards animals, and tells the farmer she’s been very cautious of where she sources her food since being educated on it.

Farmer gets a lot of bonus points if they also studied art and/or philosphy in school–Leah likes to get very deep in conversation and loves discussing ideas and concepts.

She also likes a friendly ideal debate from time to time, and even when they’re walking around, she may initiate one. She’s a very philosophical thinker!

Being out with all the greenery and with someone she likes so much is excellent for her inspiration, and tries to do these excursions weekly MINIMUM.

Leah starts seeking out things she thinks the farmer would exclusively like, like cool items they could use or materials for tools they may need. She’s very thoughtful and likes to express it to them whenever they can.

Leah likes to tell herself that these foraging adventures are like, mini-dates. She loves the exclusivity of having the farmer alone to herself for a relaxing day out. Leah is a very emotionally intimate person and connects very well when alone with someone.

It was the farmer that showed her the Secret Forest, and she’s been overloaded with inspiration ever since.

When Jodi was younger and in high school, she was actually very sassy and rebellious. Jodi was the co-captain of the softball team, and nearly had a softball scholarship for school. Still, on her off time, Jodi liked to sneak out and hang out with her friends or sneak out to nearby baseball games. She wasn’t the best-behaved teenager.

But to make her application look better, she needed community service hours, and reluctantly took on working in an old folk’s home, gaining a bit of teasing from her friends.

At first she was a little snappy and impatient around them, and didn’t care to make conversation, but one of the caretakers got a complaint that she was too cold and even impolite to some of the folks, and threatened to remove her from the program.

After getting her act together, she actually tried to make conversation with the folks she was taking care of, and became particularly close to a gentleman named Samson, an old war veteran with a love for baseball.

They bonded over their love for the sport and she even came in with some of her merchandise for them to talk about. He was so happy to see her every day, and told her he had a grandson around her age that he’d like her to meet.

Jodi, who was still more of a party girl wasn’t too interested in being tied down, but wanted to make the man happy, so decided to meet his grandson. His name was Kent.

Jodi couldn’t stand Kent at first. She was fast-paced and boisterous and a little selfish, and Kent was the opposite, but the more heart she put into working in the retirement home, the more she realized she had a sensitive side, and loved taking care of people.

She grew to like Kent eventually, and was the first one to ask him out. Jodi took him to go dancing--he was a terrible dancer, but she loved it anyway.

They got married in their early twenties, and never regretted their decision. Before Samson passed away, she would visit him from time to time at the home long after her community service days, and the last time she visited she showed to him her newborn son: Samson.

Jodi did love living in the city, as did Sam, because they both loved being around everything and all the events, but Kent’s job laid him off, and his only other option was to join the military, so they were relocated to Stardew Valley while he was on duty.

Jodi got along with Evelyn and George immediately, and took a while to warm up to Caroline. Pierre and Caroline were a little too conservative for her tastes, but she adapted--and tries to convince Caroline to give Abigail some leeway.

“Let her get into some trouble! She’s a kid, Caroline! Let her explore and be herself! It’s good for them! Yoba knows I wasn’t a perfect daughter.”

She calls Sam’s rock music ‘headache noise’ but LOVES when he plays hip-hop loudly in his room. She’s a big fan particularly of old school hip-hop.

Jodi has a sense of humor behind her gentleness--but it’s dry and hard to catch.

She is that Cool Mom that will Whip and Nae Nae and Dab and laugh at memes. She and Sam are best friends.

Sam and Jodi would make videos like this.

She now is a little too much of a caretaker and is a big enabler of Sam and Vincent, but has gotten a little better with discipline. She’s always good cop. Kent is the bad cop.

Vincent has shown interest in baseball and Jodi teaches him how to swing a bat and throw a ball every summer! When the family’s all together, she always begs them to play baseball together.

Shane and Farmer (as suggested by the lovely @starchild0985 !)

Shane was the last person to meet the new farmer in town, but was relieved he was no longer the new guy in town.

He needed SERIOUS persistence from the farmer to actually start talking to them, and at first, it bothers him to no end. He would actually try to change his walking route to work so he wouldn’t see them.

He even initiated a couple verbal altercations because he just didn’t understand why someone would go out of their way to talk to someone like him. Shane is very defensive and even more so, doesn’t think he’s worth reaching out to. He’d rather push the new person away and save them from wasting their time.

But with enough determination from the farmer, he kinda. Gives up. He doesn’t have the energy to keep arguing so he just kind of frowns at them at first. Then, on a tipsy whim, decided to finally speak to them on the dock (two heart event.)

As much as he hated admitting it, he liked having someone to talk to. And adapted to the company.

Bonus points if the farmer likes music (particularly metal or heavy rock,) and gridball. Shane might try to convince the farmer to pick up the fantasy gridball league with him.

He then has to explain to farmer that No, Fantasy Gridball is NOT wizards playing gridball.

Shane became very comfortable around the farmer, and was very verbal about his depression. He just really liked how willing they were to listen, and began to be the one to seek them out to hang out if they could.

After his episode that landed him in the hospital, he felt terrible that he made them witness the worst of him, and intended to avoid them after that, but it was Harvey to tell him to thank the farmer.

He did once Harvey insisted it was doctor’s orders and that he Had To Or Else.

It was after stopping by and seeing how kind and gentle they could be that Shane realized he was DOOMED. He saw them smile and reassure him and he was total putty........ He had a big fat crush and was totally doomed.

He intended to never tell them and let them just be friends because--well, it’s the farmer, and they’re too kind and amazing to like a wash up like him, and there’s so many other people in town WAY better than him--

Shane was wrong. Farmer loves him very much. And he nearly cried when they showed reciprocation at the game he invited them to.

Shane is super affectionate, but in a more intimate way. He’s not very good at verbalizing how he feels, but he loves to give the farmer hugs when he sees them, and maybe plays with their hair for a little bit.

He loves when the farmer hugs him back tightly and give a very BIG SQUEEZE!!! He likes being squeezed. And he likes squeezing back.

His varsity days were long in the past and knows he’s not as strong as he used to be, but he’s a big loser dork that will suddenly start moving Really Heavy Stuff in JojaMart when they come visit him so they can awe at how strong he is... He still is incredibly strong. He’ll even shoot a snarky smile to the farmer because he know’s they’re watching him being strong. Dork.

Shane and Jas

Shane took her in when she was six years old, and he was still living in the city. Her father was his lifetime best friend and teammate on the Varsity Gridball team. Shane accepted being her godfather because he never thought he’d lose his best friend... but it happened so suddenly, and now he has a child.

Jas, because of her age, latched onto Shane very quickly, but he was not emotionally ready for a child, and at first, was kind of distant to her. But over time he found she was incredibly bright and quirky, and he grew attached to her in the course of a year.

He always holds her when she cries. But she’s never seen him cry, and he wants to keep it that way.

After her ninth birthday, and Jas’ needs were expanding, his inventory job at Jojamart in Zuzu City just could NOT cover their needs, and he was falling terribly behind on rent payment. Shane reached out to Marnie, his only living and not-hated relative. She was more than happy to see his nephew again, though was surprised he had a daughter with him!

Jas copied a lot of Shane’s interests, though she liked girly things as well. She loves tea parties, all of which Shane will help set up, and she’ll play some relaxing death metal music in the background, and talk about horror stuff. Shane definitely had an influence on her.

Shane is full aware he needs her more than she needs him. Aside from his chickens, her well-being is all he has to live for. When he has the time, he really does try to express how thankful he is for her.

He is That Dad that lets her watch PG-13 movies and say bad words AS LONG AS she doesn’t tell anyone about it.

He loves her so much and she loves him just the same. Someday, Jas really wants to call him ‘Dad,’ but is afraid of weirding him out.

When Jas isn’t around, he occasionally refers to her as ‘My Daughter,’ especially when irritated or upset and he’s emotionally vulnerable.

Every year, he TRIES to bake a pink cake for her birthday, but fails every single time. Jas doesn’t mind because he always buys a tub of frosting to decorate it and she just eats the rest of the frosting.

Sambastian

Sebastian tried to ignore the new kid on the block when Sam’s family moved in, but Sam was too curious and too stubborn to let him hide for long.

because of Sam’s persistent efforts, they became good friends pretty quickly, and sebastian got used to sam kind of just. Barging into his room.

Sam calls him ‘Sea Bass’ or ‘Sebby’ when he’s teasing him.

Sebastian unknowingly adopted some of Sam’s mannerisms, and even started watching some of his favorite movies.

Sebastian calls Sam from time to time if he hasn’t pestered him, because he kind of expects it and gets worried if Sam doesn’t shoot him a message or barge into his room for a whole day.

Abigail first joked with Sebastian that he really seemed too concerned for Sam, which stuck with Sebastian for longer than he thought.

Meanwhile Sam felt a closeness and friendly attraction from the beginning, and the more he hung out with Seb, the more inspired he was for music!

Sam bought PC games because he noticed Sebastian liked them, but he only plays online with Sebastian, and sees it as a special thing they share.

He began to notice he has a lot of Special Things they shared and it made him nervous thinking about it.

Sam picked up PC gaming because Sebastian seemed to like it. He’d onl

Abigail noticed when they would stand very close together. She noticed when they started to get a little nervous of what the other would think… so she left notes pretending to be either Sam or Sebastian saying ‘I have something to tell you. Meet me in the graveyard.’

They stood in dumb silence first, waiting for the other to talk. But it was Sebastian that spoke first. He kind of just blurted out ‘So, if you’re gonna say you like me, just do it already! I already like you too, okay?’

Sam picked him up and spun him around and they had a big happy kiss. And they are now dating, thanks to Abigail.

Now, Sam is DEFINITELY initiator of PDA, but Sebastian is SUPER shy about it. Sebastian won’t even use pet names unless they’re COMPLETELY alone. Meanwhile Sam will declare his love to the world.

Sam can, will, and must throw a tantrum if Sebastian won’t hold his hand when they walk around.

Sebastian takes him on rides to his special spot almost nightly where they can make out in peace. Sebastian is still an awkward kisser, but Sam finds it endearing.
