love/hate that one of the best garashir banter scenes is actually a dominion illusion.

for one i hate that it wasn't real

but also that's how outsiders see their relationship? it's obvious enough to others from entirely different cultures that they're Like That? and it was so realistic that julian didn't question it for a moment? it implies that even though that scene isn't "reality" there are a million other instances of similar behavior that the dominion averaged out to that interaction, which 100% confirms that it's not a one time thing that's just how they are with each other? yeah. that is good.

Thinking about the lack of any proper reactions to Julian's enhancements, but particularly about Sisko's in-depth knowledge of 20th century racism and how I wish we'd seen that brought in as part of his response to it all. Because he more than anyone would have an understanding of and feelings about some of the reasons behind historical eugenics, rather than just a fear of the consequences of augmentation, and that would be such an interesting discussion to see.
