I feel like not only Ragatha was misunderstood and misinterpreted by the fandom after her own episode (being called manipulative, fake, tryhard etc...)
But Jax was too after his own episode, the amount of takes i have seen that call him an incel, a woman hater, a male loneliness epidemic bro, a sadist with no heart...
Did we watch the same show?
Don't get me wrong the writer and cast already told us many times that Jax is not supposed to be a good person
but he is still supposed to be a person stuck in a horrible situation
The amount of scenes that we got of him self-loathing, doubting, feeling guilty, they wouldn't be there if he was only supposed to be some psycho
I think the fandom has a very one dimensional interpretation of all the characters but more specifically of Ragatha and Jax. Is either Ragatha is annoying or Jax is pure evil, no in between.
They're both people trying to go through the hell they're going through.
It doesn't justify what Jax does or how he hurts them to feel safer but it explains it and the show is not even subtle about it yet people ignore it
I feel like the same way people projected their own bad experiences with people pleasers on Ragatha they are projecting their bad experiences with specific type of men on Jax, which is fair enough to dislike Jax for being how he has been so far but naming him an incel or just plain psycho strips away the humanity he was written with (which is ironically what he wants, his own humanity is a torture cage for him that he wants to get rid of)
And not gonna lie it feels like everytime a character discomforts Pomni the fandom jumps to misinterpret them or witch hunt them which is funny because Pomni is the opposite of doing that.
These takes of Jax being an irredeemable abusive woman hater were not there as much when he was only hurting Ragatha or Gangle

listen, sometimes it's more powerful for a fictional relationship to be a friendship precisely because friendship is devalued in comparison to romance. anyone can sacrifice themself for the love of their life. but for a friend? if anything, that kind of devotion can be even more moving than if the relationship is romantic. there's a real dramatic power to prioritising friendship in your narratives sometimes.

The fact that this is not the first nor the second, but the third time we’ve seen Pomni give Caine honest feedback. She gives him an encouraging smile, body language is open — I honestly don’t think she hates Caine quite as much as people formerly thought.
I mean, look at that third frame — she looks so relaxed that I never would have guessed she was talking to Caine otherwise.

The Surreal Virtual Digiscape AU: Shared Dream pt. 2 (Bunnydoll)
(Please do NOT repost my art on ANY platform. Thank you.)
(Read the dialogue boxes from right to left and the panels left to right)
HEEEEEYYYY Guess who's back. Back again-- with some food to FEED!! I've been out of town for a few days without any signal hence the radio silence-- but I've been working on final part of the shared apple dream sequence and here's the finished result! Though I did forget how taxing making even a short comic is, my a&& hasn't done this in years... I'm rustyyyy
To conclude, yall know it's a (shared) dream when Jax allows Ragatha to touch and be so close to him more than he normally should be comfortable with when they're awake-- and Ragatha is a lot braver and more upstanding against his behavior. This shared dream also happened in the span of two nights.
That said, however, when they wake up they're not gonna look at each other for a good few days. Or see an apple the same way ever again.

Rujinu have been miscatagorized as far as romance tropes go by the fandom. They aren’t enemies to lovers, they’re star crossed lovers who immediately threw hands the first chance they got.
