okay ornage cat atsushi au likes all red heads right? how does he react to chuuya and does dazai get jelous?

i imagine chuuya likes cats and even feeds strays so he may be weirded out at first but he will prt atsushi and float him around to his heart's content (i also just love romantic and platonic chuuatsu and want them to interact more) and i can imagine kunikida or somthing finding dazai sulking about how "atsushi picks the slug of all people!!'" or somthing

Atsushi just sees any red head with a strong ability as being family.

Chuuya not only checks all those boxes but he actively indulges him (because he is a sucker for a stray and well Atsushi is just that lovable.)

Although they did get off to a bit of a rough start because Atsushi tackled Chuuya out of the air.

But as time went on they become close.

Chuuya is more than happy (when he’s not on business of course) to play with him. He can not only keep up with Atsushi but can use hjs ability to carry and float him about.

Which Atsushi absolutely adores.

Annnd Dazai hates every second of this and is jealous as all hell because yeah it was funny when Atsushi flung Chuuya out of the air…but now he likes him?!

It’s unfair.

It’s cruel and Chuuya just smirks and asks Atsushi if he’d like some chazuke.

It’s actually insane to me that Kazutora survived prison (the first time that is) considering how beloved and powerful Shinichiro was.

Accident of not you’re telling me no one tried to avenge his death? Not even his own gang? Izana was camped out outside his grave when Kisaki found him.

And nothing?

All this talk about how Shinichiro was this really amazing guy, how everyone be it friend or foe respected him and what he stood for.

And when he dies there’s nothing but silence.

Concept: The “I’ll carry your dark impulses on my back” being quite literal and so when the dark impulses leave Mikey they return to Takemichi.

Because they were part of the timeleapers power.

And so Takemichi wanders through final timeline trying to fix everything all the while dealing with Mikey’s dark impulses and his own.

All alone because Takemichi won’t ruin this final chance for anyone. He will carry these dark impulses if it means Mikey smiles like this.

He will carry all this pain and anger in his soul unbeknownst to all so no one else gets hurt again.

It hurts sure but he’s felt worse.

This may be just me because I don't ship SKK and I've been a BEAST Dazai hater since day one like it's my literal job, but I get so confused when people say in BEAST that SKK is canon because of the scene in vol 1 when Chuuya is ordered to leave the room

There’s also the whole thing in the movie ending of Bsd Beast where Beast Chuuya goes on a grief filled rampage when Beast Dazai dies.

And loses his mind because of it and swears to destroy the Agejcy for what they’ve done to the boss…so there’s that too.

Headcanon: So Atsushi’s work uniform as we learn in an omake is made up from different pieces gifted to him by Agency members.

Dazai gave him that long arse belt.

And I just learned that Chuuya also wears a long arse belt.

So I am headcanoning that the belt Dazai gives Atsushi is one of Chuuya’s he stole like forever ago.

Because he thought it would be funny and he didn’t have anything else to give him.

Something something Takemichi who breaks himself apart to save everyone else.

That he stands bleeding and bruised and still carries Inupi on his back. How he gave Hakkai advice while getting the crap kicked out of him.

Standing side by side with Draken ready to give it his all to buy him time. How his final moments were to hug Mikey and tell him he would never be alone.

Takemichi who will bleed, burn and shatter if it means someone else will live. That it has to be him because it’s okay if it’s him.

A belief he’s had long before he ever got hold of any kind of power.

He’s so desperate.

He’s so afraid to be alone again.

That he’d rather die if it meant he could hold someone in their arms.

I see Kunikida (and Kyouka for that matter) being startled and trying to calm Atsushi down but ultimately feeling at a loss of what to do.

Because Atsushi is a good person so…why is he crying?

Dazai (and Fukuzawa) I see comforting Atsushi while having to keep Kunikida from tearing Mori a new one. All the while it’s made very clear he’s holding himself back too.

Ranpo is standing back eyeing Mori with a cold look trying to deduce his aim in all of this.

Fukuzawa putting a hand on Atsushi’s shoulder, not taking his eyes off Mori and telling him to leave…now.
