The twinkling lights could be seen all the way up to where the two stood. The lights of the city spilling before them. The people being busy, even at this hour, going about their business, being lost within the distance and buildings. It made Nova smile softly at the sight. At the cool air spilling around her, though it's nothing but a breeze that didn't move much of the strands of hair.

How the horizon stretched out with the buildings, the brightly lit lights, and the people within.❞ Nova allowed the tension to be released from her shoulders, eager to relax. Perhaps from a long day as being a young Writer, who had to deal with the nonsense of her fellow Writers (could she consider them as such when her mind and opinions don't align with theirs?).

And there's the tension sliding between her shoulder blades, making her straightened out her posture. Her hands moving in front of her, smoothing out the nonexistent wrinkles within her shirt and dusting off the fake dust.

❝You're correct on that. I am part of the Writers, but not. I don't align myself with what they believe in. Hard to believe that, given with the nonsense they tangled themselves into, especially with the Painters.❞ A pause. Her smile changed from being soft to tight. She didn't want to give him any right to actually worry. The way he worded that gave her the impression that he isn't worried. ➤ A lovely reminder that Nova does have her own delivery services, though it is aimed more at those who cannot go and get stuff themselves. In other words, if you are too old to be walking to get certain things or even have some kind of disability preventing you from getting what you need, she is happy to provide a delivery services. Usually at a low cost if no cost at all.

Any payment is from any donations. Rather, those who can provide said donations. These things can and will come from her own bookstore as well where people will donate. With the help of the group she is in (Cornelius, Clay, and Esmeralda with the additional members of Naran, Niyol, Todd, and Heather), donations are provided as well from other sources.

Just so those who needs this delivery services don't get to pay.

This is something she will use more, depending on the verse. Such as her rdr / wild west verse or her Yakuza verse.

➤ Yesterday, I ended up trying to redesign Duncan because he was in need of some redesigning. Even more because I wasn't really satisfied with how he originally looked. Something about him seems off. Probably the beard that keeps throwing me off, though I do blame the game for not having great beards, no matter how many beard mods I install. Plus, he is the only book character I haven't done a redesigning. Cornelius got one. Nova got one. Clay got one. Esmeralda got one.

I ended up making a different version for Duncan and went with it. Basically, this is an alternative version for him than what we see in Nova's world. That got me some ideas for my book universe.

Basically, we have various types of magic-users in the world. Wizards, warlocks, you know name it. Duncan falls under the wizard category. But certain magic-users, like wizards in this case, are exposed to some kind of corruptions. I'm not sure the entire details and will work it out in the near future. Perhaps wizards are more exposed because they have to learn magic compare to other magic-users who are born with it. Obviously, all magic-users are taught how to use their spells, especially if they want a better control over such things.

Unlike warlocks and any magic-users who falls in a similar category, wizards have to actively put energy into defenses to keep this type of corruption. In other words, they put in more energy than someone like a warlock where these warlocks (or the likes) don't have to actively do this. Unless their defenses are put down and they have to do something about it.

Of course, this version of Duncan ends up going into the corruption. Just because he thought it was to help himself and help his version of Nova. He does end up redeeming himself in the end, though he didn't leave without some kind of side effects. A reputation that left people to either deem him evil no matter what or to fear him. Physical changes that makes people not want to be around him as much.
