okay can I say the term black magick was not originally racist at all, and as carpeumbra said, became a term before africans were being enslaved by white people?

It's only considered racist now because we for some reason started calling people of african descent "black"? (which has never even made sense to me because most of us are not black at all and I also don't know why that term was preferred to "colored". I mean I know colored was used as a really derogatory term and that's probably why but man when you think about it we chose the wrong word to describe ourselves imo. Because black has SO MANY negative connotations and has had them for so long.)

Ooohh! Okay no don't worry those are all really really helpful actually! And they sound really fun! Especially the singing/dancing/chanting part. I'm always afraid I'm gonna like, do those wrong or something so I never try ; w ; But for the act of creating I suppose it could also be like drawing! Like making a special sigil/symbol and filling it with energy and intent or something.

Ooooh. That seems like it would be nice! I always feel kind of funny talking during spells anyway, especially because I don't want my parents to hear me or anything, so I generally just whisper.

omg thank you! That's like the most straightforward outline for a spell I've seen xD I did think of actually looking up certain herbs and stuff that would go with my spell but I still didn't really know how to use them. But using them to symbolically express my goal makes sense! (Sorry if it seems like I should've known that I..don't have any books on witchcraft or anything. ;___; ) I guess a lot of spells seem kind of complicated and tend to not explain why they're do certain things so I kind of didn't notice the basic correlation.

pfff there are like no health food stores around here ; v ; or japanese stores... /sigh I'll probably have to order it, and I'll try to get around to it soon! 

I do have some essential oils here because my mom makes soaps and stuff. o v o; nothing lotus scented though. And I don't even know how reed diffusers work, ahh.

lmfao omg from reading through all those comments I feel like opening a pagan shop seems like the worst shop to open ever. Unless it's online. You might stand a chance then lmao

Honestly I really kind of wish my town even had a witchcraft/pagan store? Or ANYTHING similar? Other than the dollar store or walmart?!

But at the same time I don't, because I live in a small town in the bible belt with a church on every corner. So if we had a pagan store I'm pretty sure everyone that stepped foot in that place would be judged, and the people around here would make so much of a fuss that the place would have to close eventually.

On the other side I really wish I had a nice selection of items that were specifically for magick, and there'd be a lot of cool little things in a pagan shop. I wouldn't really talk about my views though, but I'm used to not doing that..

Also I think it's obvious that the internet would be a much safer/better place for something like a pagan community. Especially since pagans are definitely discriminated against and in some areas even hated/feared. :I

WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was looking into incense a long time ago and never knew what kind to buy! I didn't know about the purity standards but--see-- I knew  he wouldn't like some cheap ol' stuff! I don't..even know what urea is? But I'm guessing it's not good.

I'm also really excited because I've been more sensitive to smoke recently so I haven't been able to light my candles or even dare touch incense, so I was thinking I'd have to make some myself and see how it works. But maybe I can handle this kind :3 AND YAY LOTUS INCENSE! pfalskgdjd omg I'm so excited I was SO tempted to buy it right away but I caught up on myself lsfjlg. I never usually buy things on a whim. (Except magick stuff. Sometimes. I don't know how I got bamboozled into buying tarot cards and crystals... but the tarot cards have turned out to be really helpful!!)
