Rory smiled " yes sookie it's really great! listen I have to go to a meeting now.. I'll talk to you later! " rory said and hung up the phone, hoping that Lorelai wouldn't find out what happened. She probably wouldn't be mad but rory wanted her mother to have her moment.

Calling Sookie!
Rory went silent as she heard Sookie’s response and struggled to say something, she felt bad for being the one breaking the news to Sookie instead of her mom who was Sookie’s best friend. ” oh… uhmm.. she hasn’t… I assumed she had.. uuhm… Sookie I’m really sorry, I really thought she had told you and now I ruined it all.” Rory started and paused to take a breath before she went on to answer Sookie’s question.
“they just got engaged, In Bridgeport, where they are on their holiday, I didn’t get that much cause she had to go, but Luke was the one proposing and they hadn’t counted on it happening yet, but it did so… yeah. and again I’m sorry Sookie, I feel horrible, I really thought mom had told you.” Rory said and went silent once again.

Rory nodded even if sookie couldn't really see that "Okay then.. let's do it and yes let's hope that mom doesn't notice" rory said feeling a little better. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as Sookie asked about the campaign " OH it's so great! I love it, I miss though ofcourse, but otherwise it's great. I get to learn so much new stuff every day and the lectures or what you call them is really interesting. I'm currently writing on an article, and I made a few friends. One thing is bad though... I can't find any descent coffee anywhere! " Rory said and laughed at her own silly bit about not finding descent coffee.

Rory listened to Sookie as she talked, keeping very quiet for once in her life. A thousand thoughts were twirling around in her head, mostly about why her mother hadn's called her best friend yet and how she had wrecked Lorelai's moment to tell Sookie. Finally she mad up her mind and sighed before she talked "Okay Sookie.. fine. if you're sure you want to do that, then I guess we could. I mean since I literally wrecked yours and mom's moment... that would probably be the best. And I'm sure you will do fine with the whole lying thing, and maybe mom will be so jazzed up that she doesn't even notice anything." Rory said and got quiet again as she sat down on her bed and ran her hand through her hair while frowning " and Sookie... just so you know I really am sorry.."

Rory waited for Sookie's reply, but had to take her phone away from her ear when she suddenly heard a loud noise, it sounded like Sookie had dropped somehting. Rory waited a few minutes before she put the phone back to her ear and listened to Sookie talking very calmy. " yes, I said TBFOTB, you know, the best friend of the bride, since Mom and Luke got engaged, I figured that would be you and I think I would need your help with some things, like planning the bachelorette party and stuff. Althought we won't know when that will be but since I'm away on the campaign it's never to early to start planning right?" Rory said and once again got quiet when suddenly a thought hit her, wait.. hadn't Sookie sounded a bit surprised? clearing her throat Rory spoke again. "uuuhm Sookie wait... hadn't you heard about the engagement? I thought mom would have told you by now.." she said suddenly getting nervouse that she had spoiled it all if her mom hadn't gotten the chance to tell Sookie yet.

Rory rambled excitedly and stopped to breath and let Sookie take her time to answer.

Rory heard someone answer the phone and started speaking " hi mom sorry that I.... Luke! " she said when she heard Luke's gruffy tired voice. " Hi...uuuuhmmm. how are you? you sound tired! did I wake you? I'm sorry...uuuuhm could I speak to mom?" she said getting flustered that she hadn't realised that Luke had answered the phone at first.
Calling Mom / Lorelai!
Rosy sighed as she hung up her phone, her mother had finally called after hanging up on her some hours ago, Rory had been confused on why she hung up, but figured that maybe something came up with Luke or that she was in a deadzone, but she suspected it was more the first than the later. After her mom hang up on her she went back to her article, but it seemed impossible to concentrate on it so she took out her, old, worn, Oliver Twist and started reading.
After a few hours her mom finally called her back, and she answered right away and listened to her mother speaking but right when she was going to answer someone knocked on her door, and started telling her all about this political stuff, and how she had to come with him immediatly, she didn’t even have a second before the phone once again went dead.
Rory came back late that night and went to bed straight away, when the morning came she awoke by the sunlight and her thoughts immediately flashed to her mom and she picked up her phone and dialed her number, come on come on come on, answer! she thought as she listened to the rings.

Calling Mom / Lorelai!
Rosy sighed as she hung up her phone, her mother had finally called after hanging up on her some hours ago, Rory had been confused on why she hung up, but figured that maybe something came up with Luke or that she was in a deadzone, but she suspected it was more the first than the later. After her mom hang up on her she went back to her article, but it seemed impossible to concentrate on it so she took out her, old, worn, Oliver Twist and started reading.
After a few hours her mom finally called her back, and she answered right away and listened to her mother speaking but right when she was going to answer someone knocked on her door, and started telling her all about this political stuff, and how she had to come with him immediatly, she didn't even have a second before the phone once again went dead.
