As if traveling back to the golden age, this retro convertible seems to be stopped outside of time. The red is elegant, like a gentle light and shadow in an old dream.

🌿Sometimes, the simplest companionship is not the hustle and bustle of the crowd, but being able to sit quietly in the sun by yourself and listen to the sound of the wind blowing the leaves.

Trump Isn't the Only Problem, You're Almost as Bad
All right, this is a bit of a call out post for everyone and anyone to the left of the Kaiser, stop giving Trump what he wants!
What do I mean by this? Well, let's look at this last week, Trump announces that he's sending the military into LA to quell riots and you guys react by freaking out about how unprecedented and potentially violent it is. He loves that! Unprecedented and violent is his brand, it's what his supporters love about him!
Look, it's absolutely unprecedented and has the potential for violence, but freaking out about it, particularly to the exclusion of everything else (more on that in a minute), doesn't help. Far be it for me to promote Gavin Newsom, but he's doing it right. Point out the illegality, point out the brutality, announce what you're going to do about it (a federal lawsuit challenging Trump's ability to mobilize the National Guard against the wishes of the governor), and dare him to stop you.
So, as someone who doesn't have the power a governor has to challenge the president, what should you be doing instead of freaking out? Well, remember what I said about focusing on the bad and scary to the exclusion of everything else? Look at what else Newsom did, he immediately pointed to Trump's ineptitude.
In the space of a few days, he's pointed out (accurately) that Trump commended the National Guard for quelling violence before they'd even arrived, lied about the conversation the two of them had had, and wasn't even capable of remembering when they'd actually had that conversation.
Obviously you're not going to have personal anecdotes of talking with Trump, but seriously, start mocking the things that you can point to. Trump really did congratulate the National Guard for doing the job before they'd even started! Trump ordered 2,000 National Guard to LA, but so far has only been able to deploy 300 who have mostly stood around uselessly because LAPD has the situation under control and has planned it so badly that those don't even have places to sleep! The 700 Marines he sent haven't even been able to do anything because they're not actually trained! For all the noise about it, ICE has deported 30% fewer people this year than it had by June of 2024! Heck, the whole reason ICE is raiding Home Depots in the first place is because they couldn't get it together to arrest enough immigrants with actual criminal records and Trump's people screamed at them until they just started rounding up randos! Yes, what they want to do is bad, but they're also really bad at actually doing it!
I get it, Trump says and does a lot of scary things, but you have GOT to stop treating him like the cold and ruthless evil emperor who strategically crushes all opposition, that's how he wants to be seen! Instead, you have GOT to start treating him like what he actually is; an overgrown toddler who is prone to tantrums, susceptible to flattery, whose grossly incompetent staff is incapable of even the most basic of actions, and whose only real power and danger comes from the fact that he holds an office.
The thing is, though, the power of that office is still constrained by law and Constitution. Yes, it got big, scary headlines when he announced it, but most of the nonsense that he's done is tied up in the courts right now and hasn't actually taken effect. Point that out! Celebrate it!
When you build Trump up as a big scary monster who does big scary things, you enhance his brand. Everyone already knows he's an evil guy, but his support comes from a disturbing amount of people who still harbor the delusion of "well, he might be evil, but he gets things done!" Stop giving him the win. Authoritarians thrive on the perceived ability of one powerful person to "get things done" unlike those slow, inefficient democratic systems.
Instead, point out that, yes, he is evil, but he's also an incompetent moron. He's not getting things done, he's thrashing around like a demented man-baby and breaking things. SAY SO.

at the time when anne frank was arrested, she was breaking the law. the people who helped hide her and other targets of the nazis were also breaking the law.
that is where it leads when you justify state violence. “if you didn’t want oppression you shouldn’t have broken the law” is an attitude that leads directly to fascism, and it rings entirely hollow from those who also support a leader that flagrantly violated the law but waived the consequences by virtue of power possession.

Decolonization is our only hope.
The class war has taken the main stage. From California to Minnesota, citizens are rising up against the modern gestapo. ICE has been met with righteously indignant citizens outraged by the precedent being set by allowing masked, unidentified, armed men to kidnap ANYONE. Local law enforcement's presence at such demonstrations does nothing more than aggravating the situation.
Mind this fact: police only increase crime, which is antithetical to the statement "police deter crime." If you still think police are needed for society, one should question why they have such a racist outlook on the world. Have you forgotten about societies that thrived before colonization? Those who still survive in spite of colonial aggression? You have nothing to lose but your chains.

ICE tried another raid in the LA area (Paramount, California) and were, again met with resistance by the community leading to this iconic moment of a skater shrugging off rubber bullets and tear gas to slowly walk away before flipping off ICE

Trump has federalized 2,000 troops from the California National Guard in hopes of crushing anti-ICE protests
I don't really have much to say, other than this is a very grim moment and we just have to wait and see how it turns out
and if you're in the LA area, stay safe of course, but more important, stay strong fate has picked you guys to be the front line, wishing you the best.
