instead questioning why sapphic love bl/yaoi, what if we questioned why people always use the excuses of “not relatable” “too relatable” “unrealistic” “too sexualized” “not freaky enough” and other excuses to not engaging with gl/yuri media?
it gets to a point.

the concept of sapphics that won’t interact with sapphic media because it’s too relatable and too realistic for them… couldn’t be me

One thing I want to point out about why you keep fandom in fandom spaces when it comes to RPF is not just to protect the subjects of said rpf(though I very much want to emphasize that yes it's just common decency to do your best to make sure they don't see that. Don't be an asshole) but there are a lot of people who if they think that's the only reason will go "Oh he's a wealthy multi millionaire he will get over it" which like, yeah I don't think it's going to ruin his life if he sees rpf of himself, but I still would not want him to see because that never goes well(*cough* I say as someone from spn *cough*)
HOWEVER
The other main reason you do not bring rpf fandom into non fandom spaces is to protect creators who are your fellow fans. Do you want to bring constant harassment and scrutiny to your favorite authors and fanartists? You realize the amount of unwanted attention by non-fandom people they will get when these lines get crossed. Do you think that the author of that fic you are reading will keep going if you bring all of twitter to their door because you kept posting screenshots? It creates a very uncomfortable environment to keep creating in.
It is not just about protecting the feelings of the subjects(which I will say again is important too) but it is equally about protecting your fellow fans.
Do not rpf in public. Feel free to shame the people who do.
Twitter is public, tiktok is public, REAL LIFE AT RACES is public. Keep it in fandom spaces. And authors lock your fics for your own protection and peace of mind.

Superman and I have an ongoing debate about what would happen if we were to use the same tactics as our enemies. It always ends the same. I tell him my concerns, and he smiles and says I worry too much. But the thing that always scared me was this: if heroes ever started to act like our enemies… We'd be better villains than they ever were. - Joshua Williamson

SPOILERS the best part of the Superman movie was when Lex was walking towards the fortress of solitude and it just opened for him without explanation and my best friend turned to me in the cinema and whispered "he's already pregnant"

The construction of the Madrid F1 circuit (new on the 2026 calendar) is sparking protests in Spain due to the removal of hundred year old olive trees (among other reasons).

Susie Wolff should be allowed to kill people. "F1A isn't for women in motorsport" go say that to all of the female engineers, and mechanics, and graphic designers, etc etc, that have been employed and started careers in motorsports thanks to Formula 1 Academy. Maybe right now, it's not a straightforward road between F1A -> F1, and maybe it wont be for several years, but, F1A has absolutely opened up opportunities in single seaters for female drivers. Abbi Pulling, Ella Lloyd, and Bianca Bustamante literally just took part in the Formula E rookie test. Abbi is driving in GB3, Ella is driving in British F4 and F1A, Bianca is doing GB3, as well as being a dev driver for Cupra Kiro. Hamda and Amna Al Qubaisi are both currently competing in the Ligier European Series. Many F1A drivers also drive in other series, and F1A very commonly opens up more opportunities to drivers that would otherwise fall through the cracks. The F1A discover your drive series supports many young karters in their journey into single seaters. Every day I try not to be a hater but my god, the way people ignore the very, very real opportunities' and support that F1A is giving to women in motorport across the board is ridiculous. F1 Academy was listed as one of the most watched women's sports in 2025.

"I know chatgpt is bad but you just don't really have any choice" you literally do. Don't use it. Have some moral backbone.
