Hey, random question but how do you feel about comments on your page posts? I kinda... don't reblog anything ever (been on this site over a decade and have exactly 18 posts, some of which I'm already planning to delete). I really enjoy your art and would love to say good shit about it but I've heard comments on Tumblr posts can be seen as rude and I don't wanna be that.

tbh i’ve never heard anything about comments being rude ? i guess i can imagine some circumstances bc this is tumblr but i personally don’t mind at all. i love getting comments and feedback in any form, be it asks, comments, rbs, whatever

I see your diagram of how Zarian works and I raise you an incredibly stupid question:

can i unbolt the top half of zarian's head? so he just. has the lower half, then the eye, and then nothing else?

I have to say Zarian is just wonderful, both from a character and a design standpoint. There's a very fine nuance to being able to make machines expressive without them innately having expressive features, and the fact that you do the body language/camera optic so well that one can almost instantly clock how Zarian is feeling at the moment with just a glance is really, really impressive!

wahh thank you!! it’s one of the joys of drawing him honestly, it’s a fun challenge to see how much subtlety i can get with him

a lot of the WHIRMs actual internal functionality is “ehhh it’s the future” hand-waving on my part, mostly bc i’m not smart enough to understand current heavy machinery, let alone futuristic ones, but just for you i extrapolated from what notes i do have into something a bit more robust

first is outer plating (and limbs) removed, second is more of a cross-section, third is engine stuff

something does seem to be strange with zarian’s central processor…

i cannot fathom how you churn our your comics so fast(i have drawn exactly twice this month excluding rw tile making)

Apologies for the amount of sudden notifs. Your comic is good. I enjoy it a lot. Especially the colours in the pages where Arthur is experiencing a ton of pain as well as the page where it shows his organs as Zarian realizes he's stuck. Also the WHIRMs are really good design wise and the thought put into the psychological impacts onto their pilots. I can't wait to see what the hell a battery is as well as well as how these robotic creatures work :]
