My Gran would be mortified.

I loved her. She was my absolute favourite. Now shes gone I feel wiser. Like she is always watching over me, helping me fight my battles. She is right. I know she wouldn't of taken a side but I know in my heart of hearts she would back my moves. I love you Gran and you taught me well. I listened. I took it in. I'm a warrior. You're my guidance in a life that seems hard to believe.

I needed some self confidence. So I bought suede knee highs and a few over sized knits! I needed to feel confident in my own skin again! Lately it's been rough. I've had some much self hate and doubt crawl back into my life and it's slowly been eating away! So, bit of cash spent and here we are.. taking a cheeky bathroom 🙈

There's somethings you don't see coming... Us was one of them! I know how much I mean to him, I can see it in his eyes, everytime he says he loves me it makes me feel like the luckiest girl in this galaxy but I'm not sure he knows how much he means to me.

Its hard sometimes, we haven't had the easiest run but he continues to be my best friend, my biggest fan.. my soon to be boyfriend! We have to respect everyone's emotions and that's fine. My baby daddy, my mam... I know it makes it harder for us both to move forward. I just needed to tell the world that I love him. In a very respectful and off the beaten track manner. I need him to know I'm not afraid to say he's my man. I know it isn't scary for him, I've always been his girl. Even when I wasn't, he made me his priority. Now, it's becoming more serious it's more apparent, we've always been leading to this. Always. I just can't wait to see what's coming! Nervous, excited, in love and happy to tell the world.

If you had told me at the start of the year this is how my life would be I would have laughed in your face! So much has changed and 2017 isn't anywhere near over! I'm excited, nervous, scared, upset, happy.... so many different emotions but I know a bit of positive thinking goes a long way so here's to onward and upwards :)

A personal belief.

A million memories and stories that will last forever and are etched in my mind. Wisdom, real relationships with the people closest to me and the ability to give someone a special smile they only have reserved for genuine happiness! Or to be a little egotistical they may even reserve just for me. I want stamps to cover my passport that bring me back to seeking my place in the world. I'd rather take risks that would make or break me because not knowing is much worse than living with the guilt of never trying. Live a life where I care about everyone else more than I do myself. To be able to show kindness and compassion to everyone. Deserving or not. I'd like to know I did everything I could and if I didn't to accept that my failures aren't the end of the world because I put my all in. Spend time with people who matter and prioritise everyone who means the most to me. I want to look back and think. I did everything in my life to keep someone happy or because it was right for me. I may be selfless but I can be selfish. And that can be ok too. I only wish everyone felt as much value for the people around them as I do. When you have someone in front of you. Please. I beg. Let them know how you feel. Before you don't have that option and they move on with or without you. Don't let your actions now stop you living later. Regrets are a waste of your precious emotions. Apologetic for the state of my blog. Unapologetic for the way I feel.

Last week a took the most wonderful walk to clear my head and spend some time with my wonderful but sleepy daughter.. I miss her so much now I've finished maternity leave so every moment is even more special :)

Florida Baby!

My second trip to Florida was in May. It was the big one! Last time it was just me and the other half but this time it was bigger! Me, the hubby, the baby, Mother, Brother, 2 of our best friends and another family friend and a big itinerary! So, here’s our itinerary.. and some highlights Day 1: Universal Studios The new Jimmy Fallon ride... If the wait wasn't cool enough the ride itself was great! Mother’s Day - Just an added perk Unlimited Beverages - Slushies! Child Swap - The last time we went we didn't have anyone with us, just me and the hubster so it was nice to see universal was so child swap friendly Fireworks - A perk to missing the transfer after the good old hard rock experience Day 2: Epcot Frozen ever after - Despite waiting a while for it and it not been a personal favorite in the ride department, a new ride is always welcomed Sparkling Dessert Party - Booked as a surprise for my mam, vip section with unlimited desserts! whats not to like? Turtle Talk - Freya loved Crush! Giggles were had! Happy baby, happy mammy! Day 3: Blizzard Beach Chilled day with a sprinkle of some rides topped with a trip over to Planet Hollywood for food! Day 4: SeaWorld To keep this short and sweet... I don't really enjoy seaworld but the ride Journey to Atlantis was a highlight (if it hadn't broken down while we were in the queue Day 5: Hollywood Studios My favourite park! Fantasmic - Just wow! Magicband/photos - we scanned all our ride photos in with our super convenient magicbands... and what an added touch the memory maker is! The video from Tower of Terror was too funny! Jonny did a rollercoaster - My brother isn't a ride lover but dipped onto Aerosmith... He hated it... but we all loved the 2nd time through By far our most organised day! Frozen Sing along - Actually the best thing we caught, I was shocked with how funny it was Day 6: Discovery Cove The cabana was well worth ever penny! Sol, our cabana host was such a lovely girl and the park itself was just amazing! 1st visit already booked our 2nd (for our 5th wedding anniversary) Day 7: Magic Kingdom Fast pass galore! - Disney give 3 fastpasses out for free and as the day goes on and you use them up you can get more... use them wisely! Parade - We walked out of dinner to the perfect spot at the start of the parade... Ideal, totally didn't mean to but totally benefited Fireworks - Once again,fell on our feet and got a great spot! Once again though, missing the transfer to see more fireworks haha! We watched the first set then the illuminations! Day 8: Kennedy Space Centre A day for Albie, Hodge and Jonny (with plenty of shopping for Kat). One of the only days we split up, we had a go faster team and a slow and steady... amazing if its your thing... for me, not so much! But the tour driver who picked us up and dropped us off was amazing! Day 9: Aquatica Chill day with a sprinkle of shopping, cici's and storms (real weather storms might i add). Yep, you guessed it,the sunburn in the waterpark was horrid! Day 10: Busch Gardens Rain - It certainly killed the day to an extent but cleared the air Cheetah Run - Amazing rollercoaster! Made up for missing out on rip, ride rock it on the 1st day Shekria - Spell check may be needed here, the ride was over in a flash but that drop... brutal! Safari Train Taz - Taz was the bomb.com, need I even go on. He was great! Shame the rain halted the day Dining Plan - Worth it. My brother made sure of that anyway haha Day 11: Animal Kingdom First bust up - It had been brewing and of course, it had to be me River lights - Another first and yet another great Disney production Mount Everest - Such a good coaster! Lion King - the atmosphere was as amazing as last time Safari - Freya loved it! Its a bugs life - Freya loved that too! Rafiki’s - Freya touched a tortoise; very big day for such a small girl! Day 12: Typhoon Lagoon For most they spent the day there but unfortunately I missed out on my fave waterpark to queue for rides I had missed.. Heartbroken is not the word! Freya did take a turn for the worse that day and the teething began! Day 13: Universal Islands of Adventure Teething was well underway so the last day was a little bit disappointing but not to be a debbie downer we still got plenty done!

In hindsight, I wish i had known I would have done a blog and it would have been day by day but we will be returning to Florida next year. Albeit we will have 2 of the group missing but we certainly will be enjoying it as we will be off to stay on Disney!! We'll get to see the Pandora section which has just opened as we left as well as that we will get to go to Volcano Bay. Beyond excited! Roll on September 2018!

Promised big...

Didn't deliver! I had so many blog planned for this week and nothing surfaced! The little one has been so ill :( Teething is the devil! Bless her, between gunky eyes and a poorly tummy that tooth is still pushing through! Meaning little sleep for us and then full days dedicated to moving house! I honestly can't wait to be back in my mams! Childcare, money, company when I'm off.. the list goes on! Vans coming on Saturday and that will be it! In we go! And....... happy belated fathers day to my partner in crime! I did a bit of a soppy post on Facebook and insta for Hodge so I won't go into it to much but I will say he loved his home made card from freya, sweeties from Millie and he has already put his lego spaceshuttle together haha! Because I'm on the app and i'm still a newbie photos to follow haha! Till next time xxx
