Tails IS smarter than eggman.

This is a hill I will absolutely DIE on. I’ve argued about this so many times with so many different people, so please allow me to elaborate.

Let’s talk about the obvious. Tails’ IQ, if I’m correct, rests at about exactly 300, while Eggman’s is 300+. So, technically, yes, Eggman’s is higher. However, Tails is MUCH younger than Eggman, with an IQ around Eggman’s, and honestly probably not much lower.

Second off, while you could boil this down to strength if you really tried, Tails with his inventions and intelligence have continuously beat or helped beat eggman throughout the games, movies, series, etc. While Eggman jumps into things without thought, Tails’ is more strategic and calculated, having a much higher success rate.

Tails and his inventions have beaten Eggman many times. There is also the example of Nine in Sonic prime making arguably more extravagant inventions; robots similar to Eggman’s.

Tails is a difficult character to understand correctly in my opinion. You have to be aware that he’s independent and can protect himself and fight, be aware that he’s a genius that has beaten Eggman on his own, and still manage to be aware that he’s so young.
