Mastercard and visa have reported to a couple news outlets that they are currently being swamped with calls and complaints. Keep up the pressure and try to (politely) insist that you leave a complaint via phone instead of letting the rep direct you to emails. It's way easier to be overwhelmed by a much smaller number of calls so each one counts for a bit more!

You'll say "kids deserve to have feelings, even in public," and in comes someone saying how it's inappropriate that children yell and scream and cry in public, meanwhile they've yelled and screamed at a cashier for a price they didn't want to pay.
You'll say "it's okay for kids to know who they are at a young age and it's okay for you, the parent to support them even if you don't understand," and in comes someone saying how a kid they don't have interaction with will harm them in some arbitrary way, and how they, a straight person who knew they were straight and identified as their born gender at birth is the only person correct on this and that you are forcing your child to be something "against nature."
You'll say "third spaces for teens are actually only catering to boys, and leaving girls out of these third spaces detrimentally hurts them socially" and in comes someone who has never been to a library or park in their life and tells you how much third spaces cost and how the city shouldn't have to pay for these and how their taxes should be lower yet complains there's no parks anymore or that the parks don't have nice enough walking paths and are full of teenage boys taking up a court to play basketball while simultaneously making fun of teen girls and what they are interested in and how they talk to each other.
kids deserve so much more respect and it turns out that saying that is a great way to locate the horrible people in any community <3

Headcanons for Pokemon cities
Fountains are made so Pokemon can drink out of them.
Urban wild Pokemon are encouraged to live in homes built into the sides of buildings, to prevent them from causing damage making their own.
Some large buildings are made to accommodate big Pokemon.
Cities often adopt mascots of their common visitors
You can often see Pokemon running errands for their trainers, especially if they’re elderly. Notifications and special backpacks are made so Pokemon can pick up grocery orders, mail letters and more. Sometimes they are given special hidden roads so they don’t get frightened/distracted/hurt by foot and car traffic.

The author's poorly disguised fetish
The author's proudly displayed fetish
The author's fetish you're pretty sure they don't realise they have
The author's fetish which they're firmly convinced everyone has and is just pretending otherwise
The author's non-sexual special interest which just sounds like a fetish because of their habitually unfortunate phrasing
The fetish the author is making a well-meaning effort to cater to in spite of clearly not understanding it themselves
The author's fetish that never quite makes it into the text because they keep getting sidetracked by the requisite worldbuilding
The author's utterly pedestrian sexual preference which the text treats like a bizarre fetish because they've got shit to work through
The author's seemingly innocuous recurring trope they're going to have a personal revelation about ten years down the road
The author's fetish you missed on a first reading because it's so far out of pocket, it never occurred to you that you could sexualise that

"Desperate, hungry people in Gaza continue to face the inhumane choice of either starving to death or risk being killed while trying to get food,” UN spokesperson Thameen al-Kheetan said in Geneva.
” But here in Gaza… we no longer speak of choices — because we no longer have any,” This is what @zinaanqar16 father told me
Ahmed, a father of four, sits helplessly as his infant daughter cries without tears — her mother has no milk left, and hope has vanished from his eyes.
He told me:
"If I stay, I die with them in silence. If I go out, I may die alone. But I can’t bear to watch them starve and do nothing." He’s not asking for a dignified life — just a piece of bread to extend his children's lives by one more day. Just one can of baby formula… to keep his daughter from dying slowly.
In Gaza, fatherhood means offering your body to feed your children. It means becoming a potential martyr just to bring home a sip of water. It means walking into death — only to delay the death of those you love.
What kind of world is this? What conscience allows a people to be trapped between starvation and fire?
Save those who remain in Gaza… before silence becomes a mass death certificate. Please donate help Zeina’s Family

18 months ago, my best friend was given a Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis. And then it got worse. After surgery, after chemo, the scans indicated it was in her lungs, her bones. This is normally a death sentence.
She kept up her chemo. She kept up her alternative treatments, which her doctors encouraged because it strengthened her immune system. (Red light therapy, cold plunges, eating nutrition dense food, and massively reduced stress which her narcissistic husband actually complied with)
She's still here. She's doing amazing. The cancer hasn't grown, the cancer has shrunk. But she will always be at risk of cancer.

It's crazy cuz I'm 98% sure I'm a late in life lesbian. Looking back on all my boyfriends, the compulsive heterosexuality, and the fact that I thought I was Ace for over 15 years, cuz anytime I thought of sex with a man I felt so turned off, repulsed even.
But a few years ago I had a convo with my husband, asking for an open marriage. I just felt like I was missing out on dating a woman, and the thought of never being with one (this should have been the first clue) made my whole body ache, my heart felt like it was breaking. At the time, I thought maybe I was being impulsive & needed a better relationship with my husband.
Well.
Two years later, I got a little TOO high on edibles and I was scrolling through TT, and realised, very suddenly, omg I'm a Lesbian.
Btw, the 2% I'm unsure of is just Pedro Pascal. Why is that man so attractive???!???
