The good news: rather spiffy new projection mapping effect for Mara’s statue in Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland (video posted today!)

The bad news: they re-recorded the voice performance for some crazy reason and it’s bland, ridiculously-modern sounding and not the least bit ominous. Kind of baffled as to what they were thinking there. It’s rather near terrible and at the least uninspired and unneeded.

Marc Davis concept and character sketches for the Haunted Mansion. What I like best about his design work for the HM is how it really varies and tackles all facets of material: from whimsical and humorous to bizarre and ornate to just plain creepy/horror styled.
