Hey friends,

I'm in a tight spot at the moment, I'm going to be moving soon and meeting rent will be tough. Medicine for my ADHD adds on a significant cost, and I've just ordered a new pair of glasses as well since my vision has gotten worse, which has set me and my partner back more than we can afford at the moment.

My question is: would anyone be interested in commissioning me? I'm most confortable with character art, but I'm willing to try anything.

I want to note that if I take on a commission that I'm unsure about, and it doesn't turn out good, I won't charge for it. I'll just consider it practice.

This is just me checking if there is even a little bit of interest. I don't have a price list ready, but if anyone is interested, I will get one sorted.

Portrait number six! And my first 3/4 attempt using the Loomis method

I'm very happy with the outcome! It's far from perfect, but I had a lot of fun making it ^-^

I haven't drawn horns in a while! I used to do it a lot, and now I'm unsure of why I stopped bahahaha, It's so much fun :D

I got some amazing feedback from @kimo1980, which really helped me figure out what I was doing wrong with the guidelines ^-^

I was making the forehead and cranium too small, it's really obvious when I look back at the third portrait lmao

I definetly think this one turned out a lot more balanced, so thank you for the advice, friend ^-^

I'm really trying to make sure that I don't limit my portraits to just a few sets of features, I want to draw people of all ages, shapes, and sizes ^-^

I can't really get the hang of how to follow the facial guidelines without the outer circle ending up too big, if that makes sense, but I'll keep trying!!

I'm focusing on and currently failing at trying to get the proportions of the actual guidelines right before I go into perspective drawing, which is why I'm only doing side profiles for the time being lol

I feel like I'm really starting to find my own style when it comes to faces, I'm excited to see what will change with future sketches ^-^

Yes I attempted the Loomis method, yes I ignored half of the guidelines because they were wonky (by my own fault, of course)

But very helpful nonetheless! 8/10, will be using in future sketches ^-^

Playing around with oil paint!

This is all done in one wet layer so it's more of a base painting, but I'm looking forward to adding more depth and details once it dries ^-^

Another update on the funky tree, friends!

I have now burnished this entire thing, and it's safe to say that the veins in my arm looked like the roots of the tree when I was done :']

Ouchie ow ow, arm joints = sore, lmao

Now I just need to figure out those ✨spheres✨, the foreground + background (probably gonna do that in acrylic paint to clean up the egdes on the tree), as well as add some finishing touches, also with acrylic paint :D

Update on the funky tree!

After some great feedback from @elmorinn, I am making the clouds bigger ^-^

I defintely think it looks a lot more balanced now, so thank you very much, friend!

I'm also building up the saturation in the colours, and adding different hues where I think they fit c:

I'm thinking that I might paint those spheres (bubbles? Who knows lmao) with acrylic paint, or I might try to use coloured pencils for them as well, to keep that see-through effect

We're still far from done, but it's turning out great so far! :D

I was in the mood to actually make something today, so here is a little progress picture of a concept I'm working on right now ^-^

I'm messing around with the colours in watercolour pencils right now, and I'm loving how it's turning out so far! Feel absolutely free to give me feedback or suggestions on what to add, I love it when people interact with me :]

Now that I've picked up my high school education where I left off when I dropped out, I am painfully reminded of how ridiculously unsustainable and outright harmful 40hour work weeks are.

This shit isn't healthy, and I barely even have time to do all of my assigned work within that time. Can we just all agree that the modern education system was made to indoctrinate children for factory work during the industrialization and move on? Because this is ridiculous.

I can't write several texts per week, each of which including three or more properly and thoroughly analyzed and cited sources, one critical analysis of one or several of said sources, as well as several smaller tasks before each text, and on top of all that, read a novel that I will later have to write a thesis on.

If I weren't getting paid for this in real money that I very much need, I would never be touching any form of formal education system ever again for the sake of my mental health and sanity. Students should not be crying over schoolwork on a regular basis, you inconsiderate, soulless fuckwads (the fuckwads being the education system as a whole)

(This is also part of the reason that I haven't posted any art lately, I am sadly a slave to formal education once again, and have no energy left for fun things at the moment)
