The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Epilogue.
Twelve years later...
Farkle grunted in his sleep. An intense sound had awakened him. He unconsciously touched the other side of the bed looking for his wife's arm. He found her, and in the dark he looked at her as he always did, noticing her pretty eyebrows, her brown hair, her eyelids closed in a deep sleep and her appetizing lips.
They had grown up a lot since they were in high school. They had shared everything since they were both six years old and he didn't regret it. Because besides being husband and wife, they were still best friends.
Another scream took him out of his reverie, warning him that someone needed him.
He got out of bed and walked more asleep than awake to the adjoining room, from where the scream came from. He hurried over to a cradle of purple blankets to find his daughter crying.
The room was painted purple, but in the darkness of the night it looked blue. It was also because her ceiling was a planetarium like the one that had Farkle in his room as a young man.
"What is it, little lady?" said Farkle in a whisper, smiling. He took her in his arms and that way the baby calmed down. "That's right... Don't wake mom. She's had difficult days at the hospital..."
One of the things that Farkle liked the most, besides kissing Riley, was to have little Arabella in his arms, feeling her delicate hands in his face and her little heart beating, knowing that he had taken part so that she would have life.
A moment later, the little girl began to fall asleep again, with Farkle swinging her gently in his arms as he looked out the window and remembered something...
Suddenly he felt a familiar lips on his cheek and some arms around his waist.
"Did we wake you up?" Farkle whispered worriedly. He knew that Riley had been through a couple of emergencies at the hospital that week and she hadn't slept well; in addition, being new parents didn't leave much time to rest.
She shook her head smiling. She had dark circles under her eyes, but her face was calm.
Once Arabella was back in her crib, her parents looked at her as she slept.
"It looks like a dream, doesn't it?" Riley whispered as she hugged him. "Everything we have achieved. Arabella..."
"Sophia Arabella" Farkle corrected with a chuckle. They had discussed a lot about these names for their daughter, because each of them liked one so they chose to put both of them.
They held each other for a while longer, listening to their little girl's breathing, when Farkle said what came to his mind a little while ago.
"You never told me what was that about 'the perfect guy.'"
Riley laughed.
"That was years ago, Farkle..."
Farkle made a pout and replied:
"But I want to know..."
Riley sighed and looked at him.
"I was looking for a boy who had three specific qualities, and only then he could be the perfect guy for me. And it turned out that without realizing it, I had him in front of me and I had not noticed until Maya threw it in my face."
"And what qualities were they?" he asked curiously.
"I won't tell you." said Riley sticking out her tongue. "It would lose the charm."
Farkle shook his head, smiling. He loved that after all these years, Riley still surprised him. So he just hugged her a little longer and kissed her, as gently as ever.
"I love you." he said looking into her eyes.
"And I love you." she said. Because after so much time, she still felt butterflies in her stomach when he kissed her. And she could spend the whole day listening to his speeches of genius or seeing his beautiful blue eyes.
A babble took them out of their world. It was Arabella, the little girl of just three months who was stretching out her little arms asking for attention from her parents.
Riley took her in her arms.
"Soon you will have someone to play with." Riley told her excitedly. "The baby of Aunt Maya and Uncle Lucas is about to be born."
That's right, because that couple was also married and they were about to start a family.
"Looks like it was yesterday when you two wanted to threaten our fans with a toy hammer." said Farkle amused.
Riley blushed.
"How do you know about that?" she asked, embarrassed.
"Your dear brother Auggie told me" Farkle answered with a raised eyebrow.
Gossip boy, Riley thought.
"I love you just as you are." said Farkle, then kissed her. A growl told him that Riley wasn't the only one who needed his attention. "I love you, too, Arabella." he said amused and kissed her on the head. The little brunette laughed.
This small family still had a long way to live. But if they were sure of one thing, it was that love, friendship and understanding, were essential to move forward. Proof of that were two necklaces, somewhat worn out over time, but which were still on the necks of our protagonists as proof of how much they had lived together.
Riley looked at Farkle that night for the last time before falling into a deep, restful sleep, with her heart glad to have found not only the perfect guy, but HER perfect guy.

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
(Last) Chapter ten.
The following weeks passed quickly, and the final stage of the NYC Interscholastic Debates was coming, Abigail Adams High School against Marie Curie Academy. There was tension in the air, because these two schools had always competed to death. Both teams were preparing like crazy trying to be the winners. Lucas and Farkle were in the group, it was something they had liked since middle school.
On the other hand, the team members were always stalked by fans of these. There were girls who took pictures of them in the cafeteria, who kissed them when they were passing in the hallways, who touched their asses by "accident" when they were close to them... Well, they were a thousand things.
Maya had to stop a few girls who had tried to kiss Lucas right in front of her.
"Maya, you are the sanest best friend I've ever had." Riley said. "What are you doing with a toy hammer?" she said patiently.
The blonde looked at her with a expression of madness.
"I am going to threaten all witches who approach to Lucas with this." she said maniacally.
"Peaches, I think death threats and even murders are crimes." said Riley trying to keep from laughing.
"But..."
"No buts. You have to return that toy hammer to my brother. I know you got it from his room, when you came home yesterday."
"Okay... When we finish lunch I'll give it back to you." said Maya annoyed, putting it in her pocket. "The law of the killings should be considered in the event of the bitches-who-steal-boyfriends."
"Come on, the guys are waiting for us in the cafeteria...
When they arrived, they saw Farkle and Lucas on a table. The first was cleaning his face with a napkin.
"What happened to you?" said Riley mockingly. Her friend had several brands of lipstick on his shirt and a few rips.
"Them..." he said with fear, pointing his head toward a small group of girls who called themselves the fans number one of Farkle Minkus.
The girls laughed.
"It's not funny" said Farkle, with a twitch in the eye. "They persecute me every day, I can't go anywhere without them touching me." Riley didn't know why she had the urge to grab the hammer that Maya had in her pocket. "And Lucas just uses me as a shield." he accused him with his eyes. "At least you can be sure he is faithful, Maya."
The blonde smiled happily.
"Oh no! Here they come." said Farkle terrified. "I better go, we agreed to practice the debate on the yard, Freak, don't forget it. See you later."
Without another word, he ran away.
"I just hope that this nightmare ends quickly." Lucas sighed, shaking his head.
When they finished eating, Maya told Lucas:
"See you in a while, I have to give something to Riley." she hissed.
And the two girls returned to the hallway. Arriving, Riley pounced on the toy hammer and said seriously:
"I'll be right back."
"Riley!" said Maya, amused and scared. "Is it possible to know where the hell you carry that?"
"I must kill some deranged fans." But someone else seemed deranged too...
Maya rolled her eyes.
"It's Farkle, isn't it?"
"I... I'm not jealous, if that's what you mean..." she said nervously. Actually, she didn't know what she was feeling.
Maya looked at her. She motioned for Riley to come to the window, where they could watch the debate team.
"When are you gonna realize, honey..." Maya began to say. "that you're deeply in love with him and you're not aware of it?"
Riley's brain was working at full speed. So that was it... She didn't feel for him a fraternal feeling... She was in love with him!
She ran off, leaving Maya with the words in her mouth, who smiled seeing the hurry of her friend.
Riley ran to the schoolyard, if her theory was correct, she had to check it.
The four team members were in round. Everyone was reading inside the part they had to say in the debate. Farkle began reading his part aloud because he'd be the first to speak. His blue eyes stared the paper while his lips moved rapidly.
He was so focused that he didn't see Riley that was half hidden among the trees with her mouth open. Since when Farkle looked so... attractive? He was very handsome!
She stayed throughout the duration of the speech, delighting her vision with the boy. It started to rain. The guys started to gather their things and went to the exit door to the yard, near where she was.
She wasn't sure what she would do, but she needed to see him to find out if what Maya said was true.
She saw they were entering to the school, including Lucas, who saw her and made a sign of approval with a thumb. It is that everyone knew what was happening except her?
But her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a pair of hands covering her eyes.
"Spying the team, Riley?" said Farkle in her ear, causing her to flinch.
The brunette got rid of his grip and he sat beside her.
He was soaked, a few drops of water were falling on his soft hair and getting lost in his black shirt. Riley stared at him for a second, realizing that she already knew each and every one of the gestures of his friend, the number of the almost invisible freckles on his nose and the exact color of his eyes. But she had never noticed his lips... so appetizing that made her want to...
"What are you doing here?" he asked happily interrupting her thoughts.
"Kiss me." said Riley without thinking looking at his eyes.
"What?" Farkle said. He was blushing a lot. Of course he would like to kiss Riley! It was one of his biggest dreams, but what she said surprised him.
"Just do it." she said with the same seriousness.
And as was said before, Farkle always tried to please her, so he swallowed and slowly approached her to unite their lips.
Both felt the join of their lips with an electric shock going through their bodies.
They separated almost immediately, but at the same time.
They saw each other's eyes for a split second, noticing the other's eyes shine, and then they started kissing passionately.
If the first touch was electrifying, this kiss was completely out of the expectations of both of them, feeling the caress between their lips and their hands traveling their backs, their hairs, their arms...
"Your wish was granted." said Farkle with the agitated voice when they separated from lack of oxygen. They were holding each other as they stared into their eyes.
Both had kissed many people before, but after this, that was forgotten. Because they had never felt something so strong as now.
"This time I didn't miss." Farkle smiled.
"Sorry for taking so long." said Riley in a whisper.
"You weren't the only. I realized that I really like you when we fought. So I guess we're even..."
With these words, all doubts were left behind. Now they approached each other even more to merge into a tender kiss, and recover the time lost denying the inevitable.
"I love you." Farkle said between kisses.
Then Riley jerked away from him and looked into his eyes, who looked at her fearful of having said something wrong.
And then she realized that Farkle was: a) a gentleman, b) he cared for her and c) he loved her, he himself had said it.
"Something happens, sun?" the chestnut said confused.
"It's you." she said in a whisper, more to herself than to him. She was stroking his cheek, like a seeker that finds his most precious treasure.
"What are you talk...?" But he couldn't finish because Riley was kissing him again, filled with joy.
The rain had stopped but it began to get cold, so Farkle suggested they enter the school, even though he was reluctant to move.
"I don't want to separate from you today." Riley said. "Let's go to your house."
And they did.
Twenty minutes later they were observing a beautiful starry sky, lying on the floor of Farkle's room. It was what they used to do from the moment he promised that Pluto will always be there for her.
Farkle held her while she was lying on his chest, feeling better than ever, playing with the buttons on Farkle's black shirt. At times she lifted her head and kissed him. She had discovered that she liked to kiss Farkle more than anything else.
"I can't believe I had you in front so long..." said Farkle stroking her hair. "And I didn't realize that I had never got over what I had felt since I was six."
"Maybe it wasn't the time." she said looking into his eyes with a smile.
Farkle looked at her and kissed her cheek softly.
A/N: The end finally arrived. However, in these days I will be uploading the epilogue of this story. I really hope you like it!!

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter nine.
It was Monday.
When Riley came to school, she looked around trying to find Farkle among the crowd of students, but there was no sign of him. She went to the classroom later than usual to wait for him to come, but that never happened.
Arriving in chemistry class, she saw him talking, rather, arguing with Lucas, who looked a bit embarrassed. She couldn't approach them because the teacher had already entered the room. She was very distracted the entire class, trying to find the right words to tell Farkle that she was sorry, that she should listen first, but these sentences didn't come to her mind at any time. Her mind just showed scenes where she was kissing him passionately in an empty hallway. What the hell was happening?
The whole day was based in her failed attempts to approach him, all of them in vain for one situation or another.
Until the afternoon came.
Farkle was sitting at a table in the library, he was catching up on homework that he had to give the next day and which he had been unable to do because of his absence. But his mind was not on the books, because he still had his thoughts on how he would approach Riley, on how he would tell her that he liked her.
"Hi." Riley said, sitting at the same table in front of him.
Farkle looked up and there he saw her, avoiding his eyes and with repentance reflected in her face.
"Hey." he said pushing away his things to pay attention to her. He stared at her intently, searching for something to tell him it was time to act.
Riley felt intimidated, she wasn't used to fight with him and she didn't know exactly how it should be a reconciliation. But she took a deep breath and spoke decisively.
"Lucas told me what really happened."
Farkle looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, he mentioned it to me this morning." he said quietly.
Riley looked at him, the brown eyes found the blue.
"I'm sorry." she said really sad.
"I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have said that, but it was never my intention to offend you or..."
Neither knew what to say, and when they realized it, they laughed, as they used to do it before the fight.
"We are fools." said Riley taking his hand, action that caused him to feel in glory. He had missed so much that contact... "So... friends again?" she proposed.
Farkle looked at their clasped hands. He had to make a quick decision.
"Yes."
And that's what hurt him most of all. It hurt him to be around her and not being able to say what he felt for fear that everything would fall apart. Maybe he should wait for things to return to normal. He took from his pocket the necklace of Riley, and gave it to her.
"This is yours."
And they both smiled again, but inside, Riley was somewhat disappointed, why would it be?
That same day Riley invited her four friends to dinner at home, it was one of the happiest nights they had.
"Hey, Riley" said Lucas subtly. "You didn't tell me what happened to your search." He knew that the subject interested Farkle, who stiffened and listened.
"Ohh, that." she said laughing. She took the list of school boys from her backpack and there in front of them broke it. "I am a free woman now."
"Cheers for that." said Maya raising her glass as they laughed.
Farkle felt so comfortable after this dinner that that night he slept like a baby.

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter eight.
It had been two months. Two long months filled with sadness and confusion for both.
He missed her with all his being. He wanted to hug her and apologize, but he knew he couldn't do it without first hit Redmond, with whom she had started dating the same day they fought. He felt like an idiot for not realizing earlier that he had never been able to overcome his feelings for her. How long had he been in love with her without knowing it?
She ignored him and didn't speak to him, and it hurt him. Maya, Zay and the Matthews family were against him. The only one who was with him was Lucas, who knew the version of the story of his friend and supported him unconditionally, because he knew that Riley sometimes acted impulsively.
Meanwhile, Riley felt terrible. At first she thought that if she was with Jack, she would feel so good as she had always wanted in her deepest dreams, but she was surprised to see it was quite the opposite. He almost didn't pay attention to her, when he hugged her she felt that he only did it because he had to and almost always he just wanted to kiss her. That was when she realized that the point c) in her list was very important.
She missed Farkle like never before, but she was too proud to forgive him.
It was a particularly sad Friday, even though they were in late February, the month of love. Farkle looked at his food without appetite, ignoring Lucas, who reproached him for not sleeping well and therefore have prominent dark circles. At that moment he got a text message. Farkle read it quickly. It was from his father. He took his things quickly and showed the message to Lucas as justification for his flight.
Lucas read it and felt a knot in his stomach. Farkle was gone, without even looking at him. He had no choice, he had to tell Riley what had happened, although he would break the promise he gave to his friend, because he was sure that Riley would understand and more suffering would be avoided.
"I hope you're happy." said Lucas coldly. He had come to the table where Riley was sitting. "He was trying to apologize all this time. He has been very depressed and I know that you have been going through the same thing. He was just trying to protect you."
"Protect me?" said Riley angry about the accusation. "Of what, if I may ask?"
Lucas sat across from her.
"Redmond is not the good person that you think. Farkle told me a very interesting story about him... Something about an ex, jealousy and many girls he has deceived only to end up sleeping with them."
Riley turned pale. Not because of Redmond, but for having mistreated Farkle.
"He tried to tell you, but you didn't listen him. And now he is even more crushed because his mother is in danger of death."
"WHAT?!" she shouted. She was feeling progressively worse.
And to top it off, Jack approached her at that moment.
"Riley, we need to talk."
The brunette turned back angry at him.
"It's over." it was all she said, and it didn't hurt her.
The boy went to his class a little puzzled, because she had done what he was about to do.
"Where is Farkle?" said Riley alarmed taking her backpack.
"Principal's office." Lucas just finished saying this when the girl was already running to the indicated place. But it was too late.
The principal told her that he was already gone. And she stood there, with a tear running down her cheek...
Nobody saw Farkle that day, nor the next. Rumors were more than absurd, some said he had been expelled because he had been caught trying to bribe a teacher (it wasn't known who), others said he had a very contagious disease (just because someone saw him sneezing that morning). The rumor that was a little more credible was that Cory Matthews had pushed him out a window.
The truth (which only Riley, Lucas, Maya and Zay knew) was that Jennifer Bassett had a heart attack, and she was at home being looked after by the best doctors. Stuart had asked principal's permission so his son could retire before school and going to see his mother.
A few days passed. Farkle was now at home, taking a bath before returning to school. Being at home had helped him to think. After learning that his mother was fine (doctors advised her that she should take a break from work stress), his thoughts went to Riley.
He missed her more than anything, that was more than sure. He was still a little dazed by having realized, after so long, he loved her as more than a friend. He had never been able to forget his crush for her. So he had made a decision:
When he returns, he would tell her the truth about Redmond. If she wanted the perfect guy, he could be him, if she just told him how.

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter seven.
It had been two weeks since they were back in school.
Although they were full of homework, Riley always found time to talk to Jack Redmond, who looked very interested in her.
One day during a break, Farkle had invited Riley to breath some fresh air in the schoolyard to relieve stress of the assignments and get away from Lucas and Maya who were snogging all the time.
They were sitting on a bench, enjoying the weather that was beginning to be less cold, when Riley turned around and saw Redmond. She couldn't help give him a flirty look.
Farkle looked at her with his mouth open.
"Redmond?" he almost screamed. He was stunned. "It's him? You say you're in love with him?"
"What's wrong with it?" she said resentfully. She didn't understand the behavior of his friend.
"You will be with him over my dead body." Farkle said. He had turned pale.
"For your information, he's perfect for me." she said angrily, who unlike his friend, was dangerously red.
"Why?" Farkle said without thinking. "Do you sleep with anyone that is in front of you too?"
Riley turned his face with a slap that he would never forget.
"I'm not like the bitches that you frequent." she said acidly. The words of her friend had hurt her so much. She removed the necklace that Farkle had given her for Christmas and threw it in his face. "Don't talk to me again, Minkus." she almost spat his last name.
When Farkle reacted, she was gone. His heart had gone with her, completely destroyed.
"Riley hates me." said Farkle when he met his friend in the hall.
Lucas looked at him confused.
"What happened? You guys never fight..." he said.
"She misunderstood me when I was going to explain her why she shouldn't go out with Redmond. So she doesn't want to talk to me again." he said dejected.
Lucas had never seen him like that.
"Why don't you want her to go out with Redmond?" Wow, finally someone asked him a civilized response.
Farkle turned everywhere and noticed that there were too many people, someone might hear them.
"I tell you after school." he said.
When they were going to their homes, Farkle explained the situation to Lucas.
"You must tell Riley!" said Lucas alarmed. He never would have guessed this of Redmond.
"For what?" said Farkle sulkily. "She would never believe me..."
Then, hundreds of flashes with memories came to his mind. The first time he saw Riley, when they were only six years, her beautiful smile that lit up his entire day, the times they had stayed up late talking in Topanga's, all the support they had always given each other, the warmth of her arms every time she hugged him, the exquisite fragrance of her perfume and what he felt when he saw her flirting with Redmond... jealousy.
"Lucas." said Farkle scared. He had lost all color left in his face. "I just discovered something."
"What?" said Lucas alarmed.
"I'm in love with Riley..."

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter six.
"Robot!" Uncle Eric exclaimed excitedly. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming."
Eric let Farkle enter the house, who was a bit light-headed after his big hug.
"I convinced my father." he said happy to be there.
Spending the holidays at the home of his friends was one of the things he liked most.
Topanga came to greet him.
"The girls are upstairs." said Mrs. Matthews while she prepared the breakfast. "Yesterday we unveil celebrating Christmas and you know how the Sleeping Beauties are... But come on and sit down to eat. My breakfast isn't Minkus's type but I promise you'll like it."
Farkle giggled. Riley's mother was always very nice.
He helped her set the table and when he was about to start eating some toast with jam, Riley appeared. She looked so lovely with her sleepy face in her pajamas of fairies. Wait... Why he was paying attention to that? He had already seen her in pajamas in the past.
"Farkle!" exclaimed Riley excited. She went to give him a hug that nearly threw him down from the chair.
"Hi, sun." he hugged her back, breathlessly.
"I'm glad that your father let you come" said Riley happily as she sat in front of him and grabbed a orange juice jar. "Thanks for your Christmas present, by the way."
"No problem" he said carefree. "Thank you for the book Don't Know Much About History" he said excited.
Riley rolled her eyes with a smile.
"I don't know how you can enjoy reading history outside school. You're so like my father..."
"It's the best subject, isn't it Farkle?" said Cory doing his appearance.
They get along really well with each other. Cory always trusted him and now he even cared about the chestnut. Farkle had been a friend of Riley and Maya since they were kids and he felt that they were like him, Shawn and Topanga. They were inseparable.
When they finished eating, they were all together in the living room sharing and showing off their gifts.
Riley and Farkle were in a corner.
"I have something for you" he said.
Riley found it funny because he had spoken like those mafia men of the movies.
They went to her bedroom, which was very lit by the sun and where the sound of the birds arrived. They sat in the bay window.
"Open it." Farkle said and gave her a small gold-colored square box.
Riley opened it curious and found two necklaces, one with a sun and the other with a planet.
"Your friendship is very important to me, Riley." he began. "I know I don't say this very often, but you know I'm not very good with non-scientific things and... I wanted you to know it. The one with a sun is for you and the one with Pluto is for me." He looked at the first one. "We need the sun, that's why we orbit it. We need to circle the ones we love, because they are the ones who hold us in place."
Riley smiled. Her eyes filled with tears. She had learned that lesson when Mrs. Svorski was gone. Then, Farkle took his gaze to the other necklace.
"On the other hand... Finally I learned that there is always a bigger image. I learned to dream. We are somehow surrounded by the people we need in our lives. And despite all my thoughts, I don't think it's just a coincidence. We must not stop believing in things."
Riley felt her heart was filled with joy and a pleasant warmth spread through her body. Each of the two has opened the other's head (and heart) in a way that was inexplicable.
"You're my best friend" she said with her eyes tearing.
Farkle felt a pang of sadness which surprised him. Shouldn't he be happy for those words?
Still, he hugged her tightly.
"Thanks... for everything." he said.
Because sometimes that one word says a lot.
She hadn't yet discovered why when Farkle hugged her, feeling protected in his arms and listening to his heartbeat, she wanted to stay that way forever.
A/N: Hi! I hope you like this chapter because it’s the one that marks half of the story. Some sentences were taken from Girl Meets Gravity and Girl Meets Belief (which are two episodes where I think they both learn a lot). I know it's not Christmas but I already wanted to upload it. With nothing more to add, I wish you all happy holidays! Have a great time these days with family and friends!

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter five.
The winter holidays began that day and Riley had already deleted most of the boys from her list. There were only two names: Aaron Smith and Phil Harrison. She hadn't wanted to do anything at lunch when she had seen them, because she considered it a waste of time now that they wouldn't go to school for two weeks.
She was taking things from her locker, Maya was gone a while ago with Lucas. Everything about them seemed to her very romantic. What she had felt for Lucas in middle school was a first crush, but she noticed that Maya felt something different. Maya was in love with him. And she was more than pleased for that, not only because now she loved Lucas like a friend, but because they were so happy.
Almost everyone had gone. By trying to grab everything fast, three books fell on her, causing her to fall.
"Are you okay?" said a male voice.
She looked up and there he was, as illuminated by a ray of light; with his perfect black hair falling over his forehead, his sexy lips and his gray eyes looking worried.
"I only dropped some books, it's nothing." said Riley trying to put her voice steady. That guy was Jack Redmond, one of the most desirable boys of the school. She didn't even put him on her list, because by that time he had a girlfriend (she found out that they broke up when they had gone to the Rockefeller Center) and he was so perfect. He was out of her reach. But now he was leaning toward her.
"I help you." he said gently taking her arm and helping her get up. Then he took her books and gave them to her. "Luckily they were few."
Riley was a little stunned. 'He fulfills the first two points', she thought looking at him.
They walked together to the exit.
"Thanks for helping me." said Riley fascinated.
"No problem." said Jack, and with a wave of his hand, he said goodbye to her to go look for his friends.
Riley was about to head home when she saw Farkle sitting on the stairs. He was reading a thick book about Belgium.
"Your Christmas spirit makes me nauseous." she said, sitting beside him.
Farkle rolled his eyes, but closed his book.
"Where were you?" he asked reproachfully. "I waited a long time, and I was beginning to think you had gone."
Riley sighed dramatically.
"I'm in love" she said in a tone of reverie.
"Now with who?" Farkle asked, as if that happened every day. But he felt a twinge in his heart that he didn't know where it came from.
"I won't tell you, it's my secret." she said impishly.
A/N: Hello! I hope you enjoy this chapter, the next one will be set at Christmas (although maybe I upload it before Sunday haha). I want to thank @21century-wh0re, your comment means a lot!! I'm really glad you like the story ♥

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter four.
The girls didn't talk in the whole way.
Riley felt intimidated next to Maya, who walked with fury. When they reached Maya's house, she threw herself face down on the bed. She didn't want that Riley saw her crying.
"Maya, please" said Riley desperate because her best friend didn't speak. But the silence continued for a long time more.
"What happened?" asked Farkle after a long silence, in which Lucas was deep in thought.
"We went to see the big Christmas tree, and then..."
Flash Back
They were walking around looking for Zay, seeing the rest of their classmates there. It was a little uncomfortable because some of them were holding hands. Suddenly they looked at each other, when...
"Here you are, Lukey" said a mellow voice girl. It was Missy Bradford, that came running toward them. "I've been looking for you..." Flirtatiously she put her arms around his neck.
"I leave you alone." said Maya disgusted. She kept walking, with a big hole in her chest, determined to find Riley when someone intercepted her.
"Hey, Hart" said a boy with red hair and brown eyes.
"Miller" replied Maya cutting. She hated that Riley's ex boyfriends flirt with her.
"What are you doing here alone?" he said trying to sound seductive.
"It is none of your business." she said cranky. She wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
"Would you like to come for a drink with me?" he said without giving up.
Maya was about to answer that he could stick the drink up his ass, when Lucas came and intervened:
"She won't go with you, Miller." he said with a frown.
Maya was angry. First, he left her like an idiot to go with Bradford and now no one would ask her out.
"Who says, Friar?" said Miller defensively.
Now Maya interrupted:
"Yeah, Friar, who says?" she said dismissively.
Miller smiled triumphantly and Lucas gasped.
"Maya..."
"No, Lucas. Stop making decisions for me, okay? We are nothing, for you to do this."
And saying that, she walked angrily.
End of Flash Back
Farkle finished analyzing the situation and said:
"You messed up."
Lucas looked at him.
"Seriously?" he said wryly, but then he said dejectedly: "I don't know why she got so mad."
Farkle sighed wearily, sometimes his friend was a little slow.
"First jealousy and then outrage over possessiveness."
"I hate that you're so brainy" Lucas said, though he smiled.
Farkle laughed.
"What you must do now is apologize to her" he said calmly.
"But surely she won't talk to me and..." he said awkwardly.
"No excuses, freak." his friend said standing up and making a sign to follow him.
Riley was sitting next to Maya's bed with her hands in the face, feeling bad about leaving her friend alone with Lucas. She got up when she felt something was out of the window. When she went to open it there was nothing, but then two figures appeared and she screamed.
"Hi, Riley." said Farkle smiling. Lucas was behind him, with repentant face. "Can we come in? We are dying of cold."
The brunette stepped aside, still surprised.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Someone" he said emphatically looking at Lucas, "has to apologize."
But Lucas ignored him because he had immediately headed to Maya.
Riley and Farkle chose to leave the room because they felt a little uncomfortable and didn't want to interrupt. So they went out the door wondering what would happen next. Because Lucas could win a girlfriend or might be burned alive.
Maya had heard everything. She dried her tears and felt her heart racing, especially when he heard the voice of Lucas talking.
"Maya... I'm really sorry. Lately things haven't gone as I would like. I didn't want to annoy or hurt you. It's just that... I couldn't stand seeing that guy flirting with you and... I'm sorry.
The blonde felt his apology was sincere. She was speechless. Did he said he was jealous?
She couldn't stay silent, so she turned. There was Lucas, looking her in the eyes with a "Sorry" tattooed on his forehead.
"Apology accepted, huckleberry." said Maya walking towards him, who smiled shyly. "I also exaggerated a little."
They stared at each other, unconsciously approaching each other.
"The truth is that..." Lucas said in a whisper. "Today I wanted to tell you something important."
"Then say it" said Maya quietly. It was such an intimate moment. The last time they had been so close was in the campfire.
"I like you" Lucas said, fixing his gaze on her.
"I... I like you too..."
Lucas smiled as never before, he took her hand and with the other stroked her cheek. Maya put her hand behind his neck and slowly they approached each other to unite their lips in a long-awaited kiss.
"I think someone should give me ten bucks." said Riley cheerfully when the four were having dinner at the home of Maya because Katy had invited them to stay.
Farkle looked at his friend, who was almost eating Maya's face with kisses. He took ten dollars out of his pocket.
"It was luck, Matthews" he said sulkily.

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter three.
The days kept passing, and in less than what they expect, Saturday came, the day of the visit to the complex.
"I don't know what you expect to happen today" said Maya with indescribable face sitting on the bed of her best friend while she watched Riley doing sets with clothes to determine which would be best.
"Nothing, I'm just saying that you should seize opportunities and looking good is cool"
Although she wouldn't admit it, sometimes she was a little superficial, but come on, at this time who wasn't?
"I can't go with you guys." said Zay blushing when they got to the door of Riley's house looking like models. "I'll go with Sarah, I asked her yesterday."
"That's great, Zay!" said Riley sincerely, knowing that her friend had long been waiting for that to happen. "And you know, if you need that she get jealous, you have us. Your two fake girlfriends."
The three laughed.
"You got to take advantage and do it today." Farkle told Lucas. Both were walking toward the house of Riley.
"What are you talking about?" said Lucas confused.
The chestnut rolled his eyes.
"How much longer are you going to pretend that you don't feel anything for Maya? When she has three children with someone other than you?"
"You're overreacting." said Lucas boring, looking to the front. Farkle stood in front of him with intimidating look.
"We'll go to Rockefeller Center, Riley and I are going to leave you two alone. You better take advantage of the time." he said, emphasizing the last sentence.
When the boy got serious, it was better listen to him.
"But she..."
"Don't you dare say she doesn't like you." Farkle spat sick of the situation. It was always the same, but now Maya was alone and he couldn't waste time.
He walked in silence, leaving Lucas in his thoughts.
When they arrived at Riley's house, the girls were already at the door, and when they saw them they stood with their mouths open.
Riley wore blue jeans, black boots and a coat of the same color that lighted up her hair down. While Maya was wearing black pants, purple boots and a coat of the same color. For the first time she had taken her hair in a long braid she wore over her shoulder.
"Ladies, you look good." said Farkle winking at them.
Riley laughed out loud and Maya rolled her eyes. Lucas didn't take his eyes off the blonde.
The four friends went to take the subway to go to Rockefeller Center. Riley and Farkle was talking excitedly of the complex, since both had already visited the place. But Lucas and Maya were so nervous about what would happen after, that they hadn't said anything, and when his hands touched by mistake when they got off the subway, both blushed.
"Where do you want to go?" asked Farkle rubbing his hands to warm them up a little.
"Ice rink" Riley said. "You know that I love ice skating." she twirled around and the boys smiled.
"And Riley, you know that I hate ice skating" Maya said. "I always fall with those things." she made in the air the shape of ice skates.
"And I want to go to the big Christmas tree" Lucas said. "Zay said he was going to be there..."
"Okay, okay." said Farkle gesturing with his hands high, because a discussion was coming, just as he had planned with Riley. "So how about if I go with Riley to the ice rink and you two go to the big Christmas tree? We can meet in an hour there."
"Good idea." said Riley with a impish smile.
Maya glared at her. If she made a fuss about that, Lucas would realize that she liked him and that wasn't good for her.
"See you in an hour, then." Lucas said, and when the girls weren't looking at him, he winked at his accomplice, who motioned for approval with thumbs.
And saying that, the two couples went their ways opposites.
"That was easier than I imagined" exclaimed Farkle once they were far enough away from them.
"You told Lucas what we would do, didn't you?" said Riley with her hands on her waist.
"A bit." he said nervously fearing a reprimand. "But it was good, he cooperated very well."
Riley laughed.
They had walked aimlessly and had reached the GE Building, so they decided to stay on a bench nearby. They didn't want to meet their friends because Maya would discover that everything was a lie and they didn't want to ruin their plans. They sat very close together, they need to keep warm in order to not freeze.
"I bet you 10 bucks they'll be together before New Year" said Riley taking a candy from her pocket and taking it to her mouth.
"I say that at the end of course, if we're lucky." Farkle replied.
They took their gloved hands closing the deal.
"Why will it take so long to be together?" said Riley sulkily. She believed strongly that those two were meant for each other.
"They have done much harm to each other without knowing it." he answered.
It was amazing how Farkle was sometimes more mature and sane in what are love situations, while Riley always stumbled over the same stone again and again.
To change the subject, they resumed their conversation of the other day about planets and galaxies. Both had very different ideas about how the universe had created, and that intrigued them. This never influenced their friendship. They wanted to learn from each other.
Without knowing how, Riley had leaned on him, feeling the rhythmic beat of his heart, and lulling with them.
"You didn't tell me what happened with Hallie." said Riley innocently.
"Apparently she only sought sex." said Farkle quietly.
Riley didn't know why she felt a strange hole in her stomach.
"The rumors aren't true, right?" said Riley trying to do it with tact.
"That I sleep with all the girls I go out, and then let them thrown away?" he said more like a statement than a question. "How can you think that of me? You know that before I have been misjudged and..." he said offended, looking at her in the eyes. Riley saw in them so much pain that she hugged him immediately.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way." she said really remorseful. Last year a girl had broken the heart of Farkle, labeling him as ridiculous and weird (after that, she saw that he began to get the interest of several girls and she repented. Riley put a smelly perfume in her hair for two weeks in revenge).
"I know." he said in a whisper.
They were silent a long time.
Riley felt good being with him, warm and relaxed with her head on his chest, but they were always in that way, so she didn't give importance and started to let her thoughts fly, which went to all the breaks she had in the last year. She ended up curled, increasingly more embraced to him. She had a horrible feeling in her heart and tears came to her eyes. Farkle noticed it and laid his head on hers.
"Nothing I do is enough." said Riley in a choked voice.
Farkle gently stroked her hair.
"That's not true, Riley" he said softly, and spontaneously kissed her on the crown, which left her surprised, but quite calm.
"I'm so lucky in love like a stone" the girl said in a disappointed voice.
Farkle laughed.
"Well, you're not talking with the luckiest on the subject" he said smiling. "Just try not to force more things."
"I am very impatient" said Riley getting up a little, with a half smile on her face.
"For that you got me." Farkle laughed. "I have enough patience for both."
"Conceited" said Riley playfully sticking out her tongue.
"When the right guy comes to you, you'll know it." said Farkle stroking her cheeks to clear the trail of her frozen tears.
Farkle had the power to make her feel good in a second.
Their faces were so close that Riley couldn't help staring at him. Now she understood why he was so popular among women, with his perfect face, his eyes of the color of the sky and his soft hair that invited her to caress it.
"We better go" said Farkle looking at his watch. "Or Lucas will eat us alive."
Riley laughed merrily.
When they reached the big tree, they saw two figures approaching, one walking faster than the other.
It was Maya, who came with her eyes burning with anger.
"I'm out of here." she announced and kept walking toward the exit.
"I go with her." said Riley more confused than ever.
And she went after her friend. Lucas, defeated, went to where was Farkle.
"She isn't going to talk to me again." he said dejected.
Farkle felt sorry for him.
"Okay... Let's sit there.."
A/N: I am with final exams until next week at College but I promise to upload chapter 4 this weekend. As you already know, any suggestion or opinion is more than accepted!

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes…
Chapter two.
The days went by and Riley began to make a list of all the guys who were in school, with those who she still had no contact, because she wanted to approach them a little to get to know them.
Which were athletes were more than discarded, because Lucas had told her that they were pigs who thought only with the crotch instead of the brain. She had already gone out with some boys of the drama club, and she didn't dislike them, but some were too smug.
So she had only two clubs to look. She would start with the music club because in it were those who seemed cuter, and then she would continue with the debate team. Having intelligent conversations never hurt anyone.
"Brad Johnson" said Riley at lunch on Wednesday.
"What about him?" Farkle asked, because without knowing why, he felt a twinge in the stomach, which made him take away his appetite.
"It has to do with my search." said Riley mysteriously. "See you later." She went to a table where were the musicians of the school, leaving him with doubts hanging over his head and being observed by Lucas and Maya.
"What?" he said, perhaps more sharply than he intended.
"Nothing" Maya said, who tried to hide the smile taking a sip of her juice.
She had always suspected that there was something between those two. But because she believed in the friendship of men and women, she never said anything. Lately, however, her suspicions were seen increasingly more confirmed, because she had noticed that Farkle paid more attention than usual to Riley in some opportunities. And if she was sure of anything, it was that the boy a) was a gentleman because he always helped the girls with their things and opened the door for them, b) cared a lot about Riley and c) loved her. He just had to question whether what he felt for her was love of friends or real love.
"Too disgusting when he eats." said Riley disappointed, returning to the nearly two minutes. She took a notebook from her backpack and crossed out the first name of the list.
"Who's next?" asked Maya. She was having too much fun watching Farkle red and frowning.
"Sebastian Brown" the brunette said without taking her eyes from the paper. "I have class with him now, I should better go. See you later" And saying that, she ran leaving the others with the words in their mouths.
Lucas shrugged.
"She becomes obsessed fast, right?" he said.
"Just a little" said Maya smiling.
Their eyes met for a moment, long enough for Lucas was lost in those blue eyes that he had always loved, in which he now saw a different glow.
Farkle coughed heavily, removing them from their reverie and making them blush.
"Let's go, the class is about to begin." said Farkle to be justified. He would swear they had been about to eat each other with their eyes.
"Yeah, let's go." Lucas said. Farkle noticed a tone of disappointment, but he didn't anything else. He'll talk to him later.
He knew that Lucas liked the blonde, but he never told her for fear of being rejected. Then she started going out with some guys and he was discouraged. That was why he was looking at other girls what Maya had. Nonsense, if we speak frankly.
He walked calmly to chemistry class, which he shared with Riley. When he arrived he found her sitting alone with a scowl.
"What happened with Brown?" he asked suddenly very happy, because he saw that the musician was across the room.
"Not at all gentlemanly." answered Riley. Then she touched her knee, which had a slight scratch.
He gave her a band-aid he had in his backpack.
"You fell again, didn't you?" the chestnut said with a grin.
"Just a little" said Riley flushed.
The class started and they couldn't talk more.
A/N: Here is chapter two. As I had said a while ago, this fanfic will have a little bit of Lucaya too. I know it's very short but I hope you like it!

The Perfect Guy
Riley is tired of guys that only want to take advantage of her, so she makes three points that define her perfect guy to start looking for him. But sometimes you may not realize that you have it in front of your eyes...
Chapter One.
"All men are the same!" said Riley, angrily, as she fell on her bed in frustation.
"So what happened now?" asked Maya, rolling her eyes and averting her eyes from the book she was reading about painting. She always did that reaction, every time her best friend told her that phrase.
"George Miller just wanted to sleep with me." replied Riley crossing her arms. "It was our second date, by God!" She wouldn't mourn for an idiot who wasn't worth it, but she felt deceived.
Maya sat next to her friend in her bed, that would be another sleepless night eating ice cream.
Both had 16 years old, were students in Abigail Adams High School and were in eleventh grade. They were friends since they were little.
Riley was a girl with long wavy brown hair and brown eyes full of life, that caused more of one sigh among school boys; her lips were red and contrasted with their skin. She was a little more outgoing than Maya, a girl with wavy blond hair that hung to her waist, with stunning blue eyes. Both were in great demand among the male youth of Abigail Adams High School, but only Riley was sometimes so dreamer to fall in the game of men who took advantage of her innocence. Fortunately her friends were always there to defend her.
Despite being very similar in many ways, they were also quite different in others, such that Riley fell in love easily and Maya was a little more rational.
What happened at this time was that Riley was looking for, since it began their eleventh year, someone who could be her boyfriend. But until now she had only dates with guys who mistakenly thought she wanted sex.
Stupid boys, she thought.
"Is it that there is no one who believes in love, Maya?" asked Riley, disappointed, as they ate chocolate ice cream they had taken from the kitchen. That night Maya stayed in her house to sleep. They were on a bed surrounded by pillows dressed in their pajamas, because it was midnight.
"There is someone there for us, Riles." said Maya calmly. "Just have patience."
"I won't accept more dates" said Riley sulkily. She had three boyfriends in her life and all of them had duped her, to sleep with her, thing she never did, although it was rumored otherwise; but they were just that, rumors. "I won't, until I find the perfect guy."
"There is no perfect guy." Maya laughed. "And if he existed, he would be with someone else."
Riley stuck out her tongue.
"One must exist, we must find him." she said, then looked at her naughtily. "I know that Lucas wouldn't mind if you find him."
Maya blushed.
"He is with Missy Bradford" Maya sneered. That girl wasn't liked by neither of them, because she was quite arrogant (and nasty).
"They are about to split up." said Riley excited. She didn't like her friend was with someone like Missy and she knew that Maya had a crush on him since she met him, but she had to settle for being just her friend because at that time Riley also liked him.
"For me, Lucas was in the past, I don't like him anymore." said the blonde dignity.
This was the turn of Riley to roll her eyes.
"Well, according to you, how would be the ideal guy?" continued Maya to change the subject.
"Well..." said Riley thoughtfully. "I can't say anything physical, because it would be looking for a needle in a haystack. But there are three fundamental things, although always one or two of them are lacking. He should a) be gentlemanly, b) be interested in caring for his girl but without exaggeration and c) love her, this includes the previous two, and also things that are necessary, such as he knows how to listen to her."
Maya couldn't help looking at her in amazement.
"You have given it much thought, right?"
"Since summer, and we are now in December. I have only one year and a half to find him, if he is within the walls of our school." she said dramatically dropping back with one hand on the forehead.
Maya laughed and threw a pillow at her, beginning a silent war. When they finished, they were exhausted and half sleepy.
"In summary... What are you going to do?" Maya asked.
"Tomorrow I will start looking for him, and I will not accept any date until I make sure he doesn't seek me only for a fun night."
"And how will you do that?"
"I don't kn... hey! I know who he is, the perfect guy." she said smiling brightly. "Lucas! Ohh, but... Too bad I've already gone out with him and that didn't work." she said with false dejection, making Maya laugh.
The next day was Saturday, so in the evening the group of friends had decided to go for a drink at Topanga's. Riley, Maya and Zay were sitting at their usual table when Lucas and Farkle walked into the establishment.
Lucas was one of the most desirable boys at school. His green eyes shone everywhere and his blond disheveled hair gave him a rebel air.
Farkle, on the other hand, was also one of the most demanded guys, with his striking blue eyes and his brown hair falling over his forehead with elegance. He had several girlfriends, but he never lasted with one of them more than two weeks, not because he was a jerk. He just thought that he wouldn't waste time with someone who wasn't worth it if the love of his life could be there outside waiting. Of course others didn't think like him and he had been labeled a womanizer.
"Hey guys!" Riley said. "Sit down."
And so they did, Lucas went next to Maya and Farkle went next to Riley.
"Next week is the Rockefeller Center. Who are you going with?" Zay asked after drinking his soft drink.
The geography teacher assigned them an assignment that consisted to visit this complex individually or in pairs, and most of the boys of the class had taken the opportunity to invite a girl for a date.
"Alone" Riley and Maya answered at once.
"Same here. Yesterday I broke up with Missy." Lucas replied with a shrug.
Riley realized that Maya smiled as she munched her muffin.
"You look very upset, Lucas." said Riley sarcastically.
The others laughed.
"And you, Farkle?" Zay asked, so all eyes were on him.
"Alone" he said after taking a sip of his smoothie. Actually he didn't look very interested in the conversation. "I broke up with Hallie a little while ago." he said to give an explanation but with a tone of 'no more questions.'
"Let's go all together then" said Riley quickly. She knew that his friend was affected by the break-ups, although it was he who left the girl. She took his hand under the table by way of support and Farkle returned the squeeze.
Both had been friends for quite some time, whenever they could they were together. Although Riley got along very well with Lucas (as friends, not as a couple) and he was one of her closest friends, she considered Farkle as her best friend. The personality of Farkle always intrigued her because he changed according to the situations but he remained the same. There was no way to describe him.
"So, are we going to the park, or what?" said Riley excitedly when they had finished and they went out of Topanga's.
The others alleged negative, making excuses like they have a lot of homework, but Riley knew that they didn't want to go by how cold it was.
"Cowards" she murmured softly with false resentment. When she entered her house, she sat on the desk of her room. She had something to plan.
She felt a knock on her window.
"Hi, darling" Farkle entered her room, sitting beside her and ruffling her hair with one hand.
"You interrupt my concentration, Farkle" Riley said with a playful smile on her lips.
He laughed.
"Sorry, but can I know in what you're so focused this time?"
"I'm looking for the ideal guy." said Riley seriously.
Farkle laughed again, louder this time.
"Good luck with that then" he said, containing the urge to laugh uproariously. Sometimes her friend was a little crazy. "Come on, I came to take you to the park to watch the sky as we always do, so I don't accept a 'no' for an answer."
"Okay" said Riley with false resignation. His friend constantly managed to please her in everything she wanted, of course only if it was in his hands.
He took her friend's backpack as he always did (despite her protests) and they went to the park.
"So..." Farkle began to say while they were lying in the trunk of a tree. "What's that about the 'ideal guy'?"
"Woman thing." said Riley trying to downplay.
"It doesn't have to do with your date with Miller yesterday, right?" the chestnut said turning pale severely, as happened when he was angry. As good friends they were, they knew everything about each other.
"Well..."
"He didn't try to go too far with you, did he?" he said, raising his voice even more.
"Well... I gave him a good punch in the crotch" said Riley innocently.
He stood up quickly. He was angry, you could tell a mile away.
"That asshole... I told you not to go out with him, but you never listen to me... I'll be right back..."
He walked three steps when Riley took his arm.
"He isn't worth it, really." she said softly. She adored that his friend always wanted to protect her. She forces him to sit down again, but he kept snorting. He wasn't as overprotective as Lucas and his father, he only came to her defense when he knew she was hurt.
Farkle looked at her friend, or 'sun', as he used to call her, although he had begun to call her so when he had a little crush on her. He liked it when her cheeks were colored by the cold and how her lips smiled with pleasure when she watched the clouds. He didn't know when he began to feel tickled inside every time he saw her. And this was growing in this course. But he attributed it to that Riley was very beautiful, just that. It wasn't bad to say it, because he wasn't in love with her or something. He just thought that she had the most cute hair in the world and he liked to caress it whenever he could. Or that her eyes were the most beautiful thing there is and that he could look at them for hours. Or maybe that her thin and tall figure was perfect everywhere you look. And that her lips... were delicious to the eye. But that wasn't love, right?
"Is something wrong, Farkle?" asked Riley blushing. She felt that his friend had looked to her more than usual.
"No... nothing." he said smiling to settle the matter.
"You're coming home for Christmas, right?" said Riley to take another subject. "Uncle Eric wants you to be there."
"That's emotional blackmail."
"You know he likes you."
"I'll discuss it with my dad and maybe I can convince him to go to your house the next day. He wants me to go to my mother's house for the holidays." he sighed. Riley knew that since his parents had separated, Farkle didn't get along very well with his mother. To erase that thought of his head, she said:
"We could give Lucas a little help with Maya, now that he is single..."
"I will not get into the private life of my friend" said Farkle solemnly. "He has to realize once and for all of what he has in front."
"It frustrates me that I can't do anything."
"It is not in our hands. Although perhaps we can leave them alone at Rockefeller..."
"Oh, Farkle, you're the best!" said Riley giving him a hug of gratitude. He returned it, realizing how fragile he felt her and how delicious it smelled her perfume.
They stayed a while longer in the park, chatting about anything they could think of or just talking about what constellations and planets were their favorites. It was getting dark.
"We better go. If your dad sees you're late because of me, he will kill me." said Farkle getting up.
"He won't do anything, he loves you!" Riley scoffed. "You're his favorite student."
When they reached the bay window, he opened it for her. She was used to his chivalrous actions and she was unaware of them. She could never imagine a rude Farkle.
A/N: Hi! It's been a long time since I came here but I wanted to finally upload the story I finished writing last year (although I had started writing it more than two years ago haha). If someone reads it I hope you like it! English is not my first language so any suggestion would be great! Thank you in advance.

This is so sad, it feels so real. There is no other word that defines it. I want to read more of your fics too.
Excuses and lies we tell
I was feeling ill so instead of doing work, I wrote this. This story may be based on my life. Hope someone enjoys this. I take requests if anyone has any.
Its 5pm on a Wednesday. You’re sitting outside the head of Engineering’s office waiting for your weekly check-up. You’re wondering how you got in this position, bottom 10% of the engineering class at MIT. That’s a lie. You know the reason. You know why you failed. You were distracted. Distracted by her. The girl you wish you could hate. That’s another lie. You don’t wish you could hate her. You just wish it hurt less.
She didn’t say goodbye. When she left for college, she didn’t say goodbye. She was your best friend, yet she didn’t say goodbye. You had this speech prepared. A final declaration of love, thanking her for being the best first love any guy could have had. Things were always complicated between you two. You loved her and sometimes, you thought she loved you too. All your friends knew about your undying love for her, her feelings not so much. This meant years and years of relentless teasing from Lucas and Maya. Sometimes it wasn’t just teasing. Sometimes it was Lucas trying to convince you to move on. Telling you that it wasn’t healthy. That being in love with a girl that doesn’t feel the same, that’s also your best friend, needs to end. You tell him that you’re trying to move on. Again, that’s another lie.
The fact of the matter is neither Lucas nor Maya knew the truth. They didn’t know that you texted each other every day until one of you fell asleep. They didn’t know about how you walk her home after school. They didn’t know that she used to borrow your jumpers just because they smell of you. They also didn’t know about how two would study together in the library just to be alone. They didn’t know so many things. But most of all, they didn’t know that during the summer before senior year, she told me she felt the same.
Most normal people would think that would be the start of us going out. However life is never that simple. People don’t just have happily ever afters. People have to deal with life and life meant we couldn’t be together. People call me a genius but the truth is I have to work hard to get the grades I get. That my dream of getting into MIT would only be a dream if I didn’t work hard. Riley, her dream was Princeton. There was a mutual agreement that neither of us would hold the other back from going where we wanted, we assumed we’d always be best friends.
Getting into either college wasn’t going to be easy and we were both smart enough to know relationships are distractions. The truth is I was scared. Cliché as it may sound; I didn’t want to lose her. I needed her in my life. She was a drug and I was addicted. I convinced myself I was content with all the little moments we had together. Whilst she convinced herself that every time I called her adorable or beautiful I was just trying to annoy her. Over the years, Riley had become more cynical. There had been a time, known as the ‘dark phase’ where things had happened and we hadn’t talked for 3 months. It involved another guy and my big mouth. She had changed after that. The hope she radiated became that much dimmer. She was still weird and goofy and loveable but there was times where she didn’t have the old optimism she used to have. We all change. Its apart of life and stopping it is like trying to stop the earth from spinning on axis, it just can’t be done.
Senior year passes without any hiccups; we work hard and study together eventually getting the grades we need to get into our respective colleges. Everything’s happening so fast and I start to question if she still feels the same way I do about her.
There are occasions however that give me hope she does. The first time is her birthday. I buy her a jumper. (The same one that she loves to’ borrow’ off me). I also get her a scarf. It’s nothing too flashy but she likes simple. I don’t give her the presents directly. I sneak them into her bag so she could be surprised when she gets home from school. She messages me to tell me she loves the gifts. She always wants us to come in the same jumper the next day. I ask her if that’s too cliché. She tells me she doesn’t care. It makes me smile.
The next occasion occurs within exam season. We’re talking about the future and she randomly says that she doesn’t know why we aren’t we together. It breaks my heart because I know why. I tell her that we would be hundreds of miles apart and despite not wanting to, we’d break up eventually.
I really wish I didn’t believe that but facts rule my life. The fact is we wouldn’t be able to see each other often. The fact is that long distance relationships don’t work and the fact is I want her happy. Happy even if it’s with someone else. So I make her promise me something. I know we both need to move on so I ask her to tell me when she gets a new boyfriend. I thought it’ll help me get over her. I thought wrong.
I’d been at college for 2 months. Things were challenging but not impossible. I had made new friends and kept in contact with my old ones. Things between me and Riley were different. Every day texting turned into messages once a week. Lucas, Maya and I had visited her for her 19th birthday. I could only stay a day, I had exams the next.
It’s Monday morning when I receive a text from her. She tells me she needs to tell me something. This worries me. It takes me all of 30 seconds until I work out what it is. I reply to her asking her what it is. I want to make sure I’m not just being paranoid. I walk into my first exam distracted. I then send her another message saying it’s distracting me not knowing. She knows I hate not knowing things. She still doesn’t reply when I walk into my next exam. Luckily it’s extremely easy.
She doesn’t reply until midnight. When she does, she reveals what I already know. She’s seeing another guy. I tell her I’m happy for her. She asks me if I really mean it. I tell her I do. It’s not a lie. Only some of the truth is negated. I don’t tell her that it hurts. That I’m angry. Not at her. Never at her. I’m angry at the situation. That we could be together. But life just got in the way.
To say that it’s all I think about is an understatement. I go into each exam not caring what the outcome is. I don’t study for any exam. I go for runs trying to clear my head. It doesn’t work. She’s still the only thing I can think about.
My mind is brought back to the present when Dr. Angelo invites me in. She asks me if there were any reasons why the exams didn’t go so well. I make up some excuses that justify me failing 3 exams. She seems satisfied with my answer but asks me to come to our meetings with evidence of progress. I agree and make my way out her office wishing her a pleasant evening. I get home and sit down and sigh. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over her. I just love her too much.

Girl Meets the Bay Window Again
A/N: Hello there! I come again with another one shot. I wanted to thank @summonerserahheart, @riarklespirfire, @lucasfriarfan, @astralfreckles and @girlmeetsworldedits for giving me your opinion, that's really important to me ♥ I repeat the same as before, send me any advice or thought because it helps me a lot. Thank you in advance. P.S. I'm writing a long fic, about ten or eleven chapters. There will probably be a bit of Lucaya in it too. Would you be interested in reading it? Without more to say, I leave you with Girl Meets the Bay Window Again.
Riley was sitting in the bay window, looking at the floor with lost air.
Maya came through the window and sat beside her.
"Did you talk to him?" she asked the brunette.
"No." she replied curtly without looking at her. She continued with the fixed gaze downward.
"Will you do it?" she asked somewhat discouraged by the attitude of her best friend.
"Yeah. I'll do it in ten or fifteen years." she answered, lifting her head slightly.
"Riles. It's been three days. You can't avoid him for the rest of your life." Maya said, unable to suppress a smile.
"I can and... In fact, it's what I'll do." she murmured.
Maya rolled her eyes. She knew this would happen, but she didn't believe it would last so long. Riley and Farkle avoided each other, they didn't even stay long in the same room. It was irrational. They loved each other, but both were too proud and neither of them wanted to be the first to speak.
"If you don't talk to him you'll regret it. What are you afraid of?" she asked her friend.
"I'm afraid he tells me he doesn't feel the same as me, that he's over me, that he just loves me as a friend." she replied.
"He won't say any of those things." she answered exasperatedly. "He was the one who kissed you, remember? You have to talk to him. Have courage! You've faced a bully in front of the whole school and you can't face Farkle? Can't you tell him what you feel?" she added, trying to give encouragement to her friend.
"Believe me, she didn't give me so much fear compared to how scared I am now. What if I ruin everything? Peaches, I don't know what to tell him. I don't even know where to start." her voice was low, Maya had never seen her friend like that.
"Start with what matters most. Tell him how you feel. It will be easier." she explained more relaxed because she had managed to reduce at least a little the guard of the girl.
At that time Farkle and Zay came through the window.
"Maya, can you come for a moment? I need a little help with an assignment of art." said Zay smiling.
The girl nodded and accompanied him even though she knew he didn't need help. She had already made the drawing for him a few hours ago. It was just a pretext for leaving their two friends alone.
"Farkle..."
"Riley..."
They both said at the same time when they were completely alone.
"You first." the boy said.
"No, please, you first." replied Riley in a tone very nervous which she had never used in their talks.
"Okay." said as if he were talking to himself. "Riley, I want... I want to talk about what happened the other day, talk about..." he seemed quite embarrassed.
"You mean the kiss? It was an impulse, I understand." the girl said trying to play down the matter. Although she really didn't feel like that.
Farkle looked down, his eyes filled with tears. But he couldn't let Riley see him like this because for her the kiss had meant nothing.
"You feel good?" she asked. She had stood and had put in front of him without making the slightest sound.
"Yeah." he said omitting the lump in his throat.
She took his chin and made him look at her eyes. Instantly his eyes dodged her. He couldn't see her face.
"Do you really think that was an impulse?" Farkle asked trying to hide his broken voice. "Because for me it wasn't. I hadn't regretted the kiss until this moment." He didn't care what she thought. He had to let off steam. He had to tell her everything he felt. He couldn't stand it any longer. "I didn't think you were so insensitive, Riley. I thought..."
He couldn't finish the sentence because Riley kissed him.
"I don't understand you. Why did you kiss me?" he asked in a small voice when she stepped away from him.
"Because I wanted to. Because I felt the urge to do it. Farkle, I'm sorry. I just said that because I thought you wanted me to say that. I thought you had regretted, I..."
He interrupted her with a kiss. Riley took his shirt and attracted him toward her.
It took several seconds until they separated from each other. When they did, she couldn't stop looking at him. How could she have been so blind?
"I'm in love with you." Farkle said. Instantly he completely flushed. Riley's eyes opened widely. "Boy, this is awkward." he said turning around, ready to run out of the room and not stop running for a long time. She grabbed his arm forcing him to look at her.
"Do you want this to become more awkward?" the brunette laughed. His heartbeats were getting faster when he heard his favorite sound in the world. "I'm in love with you too."
Farkle smiled and approached her taking her waist to kiss her again. Oh, he could never get tired of those kisses.

This is incredibly beautiful. I loved it ♥
Real: A Riarkle drabble
After reading @stillpluto ’s fanfiction, I had to give Farkle a happy ending. Read their amazing fiction here: http://stillpluto.tumblr.com/post/157284163124/the-handkerchief
“It’s not real, Riley,” Farkle says. “How do you know that?” I ask him. We’re sitting at the bay window and keeping quiet. The stars are out, but the only thing I see are Farkle’s eyes. They’re glazed with tears. “I know, because it hasn’t happened at all,” he says, “Smackle chose Zay.” “And Lucas chose Maya,” I tell him, caressing his cheek. His eyes meet mine. “But that’s just Science, Riley. Attraction.” “Is it?” I ask him. I’m careful with my words, and my heart is pounding. The light from the fire escape illuminates Farkle’s face, and I scan it with wonder. How could he not see it? How did he not know? “Attraction is just hormones, and hormones mess everything up. Hormones, feelings, emotions. The enemy of the human race.” “Farkle,” I say, “This happened a while ago. Don’t you think we’ve changed since then? Don’t you believe that we’re meant for something more?” His eyes widen. He is speechless. I’m not sure how he feels at that moment. Normally I am able to tell, but his expression is an enigma to me, almost foreign. “Close your eyes,” I tell him. “Why?” he asks, his voice sharp. “Please, Farkle,” I whisper, my heart about to burst. I am about to do something that I am afraid of. Something I secretly want to do. But if it hurts Farkle, I will stop. Farkle closes his eyes, and I’m taken aback for a moment. Some part of me doubted that he would do as I asked. I lean forward, slowly, gently, and kiss his forehead. “Riley?” I hear the fear in his voice, and I pull away. “Did I hurt you?” I ask. “No, but, what are you doing?” “Did you feel something?” I ask him, “Something besides sadness and pain?” His breath hitches. I wait. “Yes,” he says. “Will you close your eyes again?” I ask, nearly a whisper. He does, and my heart pounds, I brush my lips over his eyelids, light as a feather. “I do feel something,” Farkle says. “Me too,” I tell him. He opens his eyes. “Riley,” he says, “Why are you doing this? Do you pity me?” “No, Farkle,” I whisper, “I can’t stand seeing you in pain.” His eyes meet mine again. “Why?” he asks. “Because I…” My heartbeat grows louder. I’m surprised that Farkle can’t hear it. A tear falls from my eye. Farkle’s thumb brushes the tear back as a fresh tear falls. “Farkle, I.” It hurts. It’s all messed up. Why? Why hadn’t I realized sooner? Why hadn’t I just listened to my own heart? Farkle is in pain, and it’s my fault. It must be. Do I deserve a second chance? After making so many mistakes? “Riley,” Farkle says softly, “Please tell me.” “I love you,” I whisper. The words roll off my tongue, and the truth burns in them. “I love you,” I say again. A little louder. Silence. All I hear is my own heartbeat. It’s too late. I know it is. Then, Farkle drops his hand from my face and gathers me in his arms. Hope. Pure hope wraps around my heart, tugging at my mind. “Farkle?” I ask. He is quiet. I wait. The moment is fragile, the very air frozen in place. “Thank you, Riley,” Farkle says. I sigh in relief. “You’re welcome,” I tell him. “Will you close your eyes, this time?” Farkle asks. I pull away, trying to calm my heart. I close my eyes. I feel the soft brush of his lips on mine. “I love you, too,” Farkle whispers.

The handkerchief.
A/N: Hey! I'm new to all this but I wanted to upload the first one shot I wrote about my favorite couple, Riarkle. Let me know if you liked it or not. As I said I have no experience so any suggestion is well received! Thank you.
I'm Farkle. The friend, the handkerchief. That is why today you come to me with tears in your eyes, telling me that you love him. I know, you only live for him...
"Why?" you ask. You refer to why Lucas has returned to argue with you.
"Because he is a fool." I answer. I'm being more honest than ever. I don't understand how anyone could harm the purest, most beautiful, most wonderful girl. If I were him, if you looked at me the same way you look at him... You wouldn't know the word bitterness, darling.
You hold me stronger. I feel the wet shirt in your tears.
"There is nothing worse than suffer for the person who owns your heart." you say suddenly, and I stifled a groan in pain. I know what you mean.
Because since I met you I die a little each day.
You get away a little of me and smile with difficulty. Although you pretend to be strong, I know how fragile you are.
"He loves you." I say. And I love you, I'd love to add, but I know that those words will never come out of my mouth because I'm just your friend... And because I share the same link with Lucas.
My mouth tastes like betrayal. I know that loving you secretly is a sin. Especially because someone like me has no right to want an angel like you and because, paradoxically, I pushed you two to be together.
I am an irony of life.
"If he loves me so much... Why he makes me rage?" you complain with a brightness of exasperation in your eyes. I know you remember perfectly the whole triangle thing. He had chosen you over Maya. You don't understand that Lucas had decided for you and now he behaves like a perfect idiot. "It's not fair!" you scream.
Tell me about injustices, woman. I fell for you long before he did.
Someone knocks on the door. You get scared and you approach me again.
"Don't open." you beg like you were a little girl asking for a cookie. I laugh and kiss your forehead. After leave your embrace gently I stop in front of the door. We all know that Lucas has come for you.
"Take care of her." I say, when I see him enter the room. He nods slightly; he has also wept. Now it's time for the final demise of Farkle, the best friend.
I stepped forward. I turn my head on my right shoulder and I see them merge into a tender kiss. A kiss of love. I continue my way and try not to look back.
Do I need to say that I will cry in silence all night?
Oh, Riley, if I were him...
