Loudclan - Moon 24

Kingpaw is honored for his valiance while fighting the eagle last moon, earning the name Kingfur. His sisters are reasonably jealous.

After a conversation with Siltsplash Chickadeeblur has realised that they no longer identify as a tom.

While assessing Cavekit for his apprenticeship, the healers discover that he was born with a twisted leg.

Regardless, Cavepaw is apprenticed to Siltsplash.

[Another apprentice! Because apparently Silt does not know the meaning of "taking a break". Wanted to take this calmer moon to practice some simple shading and backgrounds before we get into the events of the next year.]

The housecats of 38 Ivy Bridge Lane are of many backgrounds, ranging from many generations of kittypets to feral cats scooped up off the street. Their Twoleg is well meaning, but unbeknownst to her aged mind, the home is devoid of food, heat, and clean water, and so the cats here have suffered for years. This is until a cat calling herself a Clan leader is brought in, and gives the housecats hope that life can be better. And so, the cats revolt.

Though about sixty cats escape from the Twoleg nest, only a total of seven (and three kittens) agree to follow the Clan ways. This comic follows the cats of StormClan as they learn to depend on each other, explore their world, make new friends, and process the trauma of their past in different - and not altogether healthy - ways.

This comic is being made by an amateur hobbyist artist and exists for the explicit purpose of practice and experimentation. Things may look different page to page, but I hope that over the course of these 100 moons, it becomes a sort of diary of my progress!
