A possibile ship idea.

The "All it takes is to sacrifice a little freedom" Goumang and "Gorgeus Beefcake" Kuafu.

So I was thinking of weird pairings in Nine Sols and I though of Goumang and how her need to control everything came from both her upringing but also from possibly being abandoned by her parents and her believe that Yi took her mentor from her. With that in mind I though of what if Kuafu just kinda became a part of her life. The most Loyal Sol meets one that is basically a co trol freak. I feel like their relationship would be quite interesting after all there cannot be Equality without Loyalty. I really didn't have an idea outside of that but I'm curious what do you guys think. I personally feel their relationship would basically be something like this.

Ten Sols meeting:

Goumang:Shut up, just Shut up!!!

Everyone else:...(looking between one another, some thinking she is on her period)

Goumang: I'm gonna kill the next person that comes through this door I swear to Fusang.

Kuafu:Hi, Im so happy to see you everyone! Sorry I'm late!

Goumang: OMG Hi Kuafu, could you kindly leave and let the next person in do I could turn them to shreds.

Kuafu:(scared)...ehm I don't want to make assumptions but do you need to, cool off for a bit. Maybe some fresh air would do you good?

Goumang:Killing somebody is quicker.

You know basically a maniac and safety net. Kuafu is used to it due to spending considerable time with Yi.

Ideas for Xiao x Ganyu

Ok so whether you see them as siblinh s or as a couple I like them and here is few ideas I had for AU stuff or similar

1 always prepared.

Xiao:Ganyu have you seen my-

Ganyu:(hands him his jade winged spear).

Xiao:...Thanks, by the way-

Ganyu:North of Liyue cave by a natural spring, I also got you almond tofu.(Hands him a bento)

Xiao:...Marry me?

Ganyu:We've been married for 2 months by law, when do you want a wedding?

Xiao:(speachless)

(I got this idea after realising that Ganyu is still a secretary of basically goverment so I don't exactly know why is she so meek? I can understand if somone tries to touch your horns but other then this she should be a very confident woman on a job)

2 Qilin/human Rage

Basically what if God that imprisoned Xiao returns. Ganyu learns what he did to a small yaksha and meek hybrid just freezes his @$$ and yeets him into abyss. Bonus points if Ganyu transforms into fully Qilin and is just done with him.

3 Polite Ganyu.

Qilin are the kindest among the three strongest brings of legenda in chinese mythology so what if one day a very annoying guy comes in and starts annoying Ganyu but she's either too nice to blow him of or just to tired. And Xiao gets a bit defensive so he just teleports behind Ganyu and glares. Poor guy doesn't know what to do and Ganyu can finally explain to him what to do nie that he shuted up. Dude leaves as quickly as possible and Ganyu goes back to work, only to be interrupted by Xiao who now asks why didn't she fought back. Ganyu did not scream in fright, noone dares to embarass poor cocogoat in fear of her guardian yaksha.

Weird maybe AU stuff?(Just a weird thing I though of while reading some stuff about about Nine Sols) part 1.

So I though about something, we know that there was an old mine through which you could use to get out of peach blossom village and into new kunlun and Shennong Has the key I imagined a scenario where Yi who is like 1,5 years after waking up from 500 power nap(the fact he still looks tired after that amount of time is still somewhat funny to me) one day runs into Shennong, who talks about his theories and mentions a way out through old mine. This instantly gains his attention while way out through the "flying throne"(an elevator for solarians) is also possible he will need to wait additional 6 months and he wants his revenge now, he waited 500 years that's 500 years too long. So he asks Shennong about it and learns that he needs a key that Shennong Has but what would he offer Shennong in turn? Yes he could steal it but he saw the door to old mineshaft he won't be ale to close them once he escapes plus Solarians would lose a lot of valuable material(read:Yi won't put Shuanshuan to harm) if apeman escaped. He questions what can he offer him for the key. Shennong wants confirmation of several theories he has and some poisons but if Yi can outdrink him he will give it for free. Que Yi outdrinking everybody in the village by pure spite and almost dying from alcohol poisoning. Yi leaves through mineshaft 5 months early and here is when I got and interesting idea. What if depending on where we go first it would change the game completely. Yi first heads to his pavilon to fix himself and prepare for confrontation with his colleagues. And here is a where we have a choince if we head to Kuafu first Yi will earn an ally WHO is a bit more reasonable then him. Shuanshuan sneaks after Yi and stays in Pavilon since several of the guardian drones saw him and that might be a problem and then we head to Goumang and on our way here we get a dialogue.

Kuafu:Ehm Hey Yi can you jest me?

Yi:What is it Kuafu?

Kuafu:I'm just calling to ask you about a very important detail we may have overlooked.

Yi:And that is?

Kuafu:What do you plan to do with Goumang?

Yi:...Council must be punished for their crimes an-

Kuafu:NO! I understand that but what after? Like she basically runs our entire food supply and after Eigong removed your automated systems it became a lot harder to run it so as much as it may pain you we need her...alive and functional.

Shuanshuan: That's right big brother Yi. Uncle chubby is right.

Kuafu:Stop calling me that.

Yi:Kuafu did you turn Shuanshuan against me?

Kuafu:He did brought up a good point.

Yi:Such as?

Kuafu:"Don't piss off a gardener, you don't know when he will let you but his food".

Yi:...I'll think about it.

Random Nine Sols scenarios

"The one who lifts"

Goumang pov:

As always around this hour I went to get a drink from vending machines around the tiandao research center but this time I see a very peculiar sight.

"PIECE OF NAILED GARBAGE MOVE"

It's not everyday you see the ever stoic Yi so angry. One of the last times Goumang remembers is that time her experimental pest eating plant went out of control and tried to eat her small colleague. Now as much as she wanted to avoid him, that's a place she wanted to get her coffee from. And she's not leaving until she gets it, and if she gets to tease the diminiutive solarian well it will make her day just a bit brighter.

"What happened Yi, lost some spare change"? I asked with as much of false concern as I could muster.

Yi chose this exact moment to shut up and compose himself as much as he could.

Yi was strugling to reach something under the vending machine with his short arms. Not for the first time he cursed his genes and stunted growth due to the explosion he survived.

"Well if you're so concerned maybe you will use those unnaturally elongated arms od yours to help". He said, while still trying to reach something in the darkness.

"Well its unlike you to ask for help. As rudely as you did. I have matters of importance but if you ask nicely I may help you". I was having too much fun.

Yi only rolled his eyes before answering not so simply. "would thou kind upperclasswoman help me get my phone out of its dark confines"?

Goumang stilled at the weird way Yi worded the request and had a question she needs to word. "How did you get your phone under the vending machine"?

Yi's face hardened but from Goumang perspective it looked like a tiny kitten that tasted lemon for the first time. He answered all the same. "I tried to write while getting a drink and my phone fell. And I accidentally kicked it under the machine".

I covered my malicious smile with my feathered wing and from Yi's expression I could guess that he knew what awaited him. "Ohh you poor thing, let me get your phone from the dark place but first, I'll take the photo of you trying too reach couse it looks hilarious".

As quickly as I could I reached out to fish out my phone from my pocket but I did it too quickly and feathered hand don't help at all. It fell from my hand and while trying to reach for it I kicked it under the machine.

"..."

"Not a Word"

Spongebob narrator voice:20 minutes later

Kuafu pov:

(Finally im done, with the project I was do absorbed I almost missed the break). I just finished very important piece of engineering for Eigong, all that needs to be done now was sending it to her but I deserve a little break right?

"ehh"? Was my only exclamation as I looked at truły confusing sight.

"Would you look at that, bigger doesn't always mean better as you can see"!

"Well now you just sound as if you were compensating for something you don't even posses"!

Two of his colleagues arguing next to vending machines while kneeling. Bizzare situation not the bickering itself tho. But he wanted some of that opto Berry jam sandwiches and for that they needed to move. And for that he needed to get their attention. "... Ok, what is going on"?

They turned around both with angry faces albeit Yi's face always looks as if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

""Nothing""

"... Right becouse you guys aren't hounding this vending machine like a bunch of animals. What happened did something got stuck?"

"Her fingers did" "His arms are too short"

"You aren't helping"! I know that i'm not the most outspoken person but there is only one hour of lunch break. And people around here treat Ilit very seriously.

"...Our phones are under this piece of scrap". Yi finally chose to give him a straight answer.

"...can't you just lift it? Its tied by rails so you can lift it without possibly toppling it".

"He's too short".

"Those wing aren't exactly made for lifting either chicken".

I could basically see all of her veins throbbing. That cannot be healthy. (And they're bickering again).

*bickering*

Kuafu could only sigh, well look like he will do this the old fashioned way.

Kuafu took a step towards the machine while looking at small space right under it. It was big enough for fingers of your avarage solarian to fit but not an entire arm the fact that Yi's arm fit is honestly concerning. (Well he wants that sandwich and they aren't living until they get their phones so)

3rd person view.

Kuafu grabbed vending machine it was put right in between the others but all of them were nailed to the wall. The only way to remove them was by basically pushing them upwards until they get derailed. May I also add that on avarage those vending machines weight around 300 to 400 kilo. Kuafu put one hand on the bottom of the machine he needed a free hand to get the phones from under it and just lifted the entire thing by about 4 feet. It was by that point that he notes the lack of sound of arguing of his colleagues. "Oh, can you guys like help"?

Both of them were silent and their faces look like alien doubters when they meet aliens meme. The fact, he could see Yi's mouth quite clearly was honestly hilarious he wanted to take a picture but he didn't want to risk dropping the giagantic metal box. "Will you help now?" He asked with more force then necessary in his opinion. Yi automatically still on shock quickly picked up his phone of course leaving Goumang's. She wasn't any better she looked like a robot doing menial tasks. After making sure nothing of value is left Kuafu slowly put the machine down.

"Well if you don't mind, but I'm pretty hungry and this machine has something I want"

Yi and Goumang went back to watching him as he was buying a sandwich.

"Hey somone left a yogurt in here and it's still good"!

Kuafu looked at his Dazed friends shrugged and simply left he still has 20 before he has more work. If they miss the break that's on them also not like they're gonna stare Yi Has basically office job he just has to watch not to spill his drink on anything and Goumang is surrounded by food.

Yi and Goumang stared into a place where Kuafu used to be for a minutę before both turned towards its other for the first time in maybe years since they became Eigong Students something akin to understanding flashed though their minds ""...What the $#@& just happened""!?!

Nine Sols headcanons and scenarios.

My first post On tumblr. Joy. I suck at wording stuff so if something is misunderstood i'm sorry.

Headcannons(some of them were also written on Reddit almost half a years ago)

1 Eigong didn't understood that there was an actual hatred between Yi and Goumang. She just though it was a friendly bickering like the one she had before becoming head of tiandao council.

2 Lady Ethereal was a fan of horror genre. Either became a fan after Xiaohe showed her or even before.(That changed after the accident)

3 Yanlao was very good at all types of video games. His favourite were claw machines.

4 Goumang has issues with being left behind. Possibly abandoned by her parents. Which also translates to trust issues.

5 Ji could outdrink everybody.

6 Yi gets good at everything when he's drunk even things that he sucks at like cooking(Yi's diet consists of cup noodles and whatever his sister sends him).

7 Yi is THE densest guy on Penglai. He just doesn't understand romance except few romance novels he read and scientific explanations of it.

8 Fu Die and Kuafu tried playing cupid and help Yi find somone, there was alot of problems with it as most girls were very wary due to his status as a Sol and felt very inadequete or Yi being Yi said something that made other hate him. Lady Ethereal almost strangled him when he made another girl cry. She still picked him up like a toddler and shaked him while screaming at him.

9 Lady Ethereal found Yi endearing like a child pretending to be adult. He also made her realise she likes short people.

10 Jiequan is suprisingly a good motivational speaker.

Scenario 1 "mind to mind" (platonic/romantic?(I don't know how romance works.))

Goumang:Just my s$&@#8 luck to run into you of all people.

Yi:(just minding his own buisness while trying to ignore Goumang, which is hard taking into account she's sitting next to him. Why did he chose to sit next to her again)?

Goumang:What are you doing here?

Yi:Am I forbidden from drinking?

Goumang:Well you definitely don't look like you can. You don't act like it either.

Yi:(ouch an indult that strikes both of my insecurities. As ruthles as ever).

Yi:Listen I came here just to have a nice drink in possible quiet and outside of everyone's consistent nagging. So we can either make this a very s$&#@8 evening for everyone involved or we shut up, have our drinks and leave like nothing happened.(Yi wasn't joking Kuafu and Lady Ethereal already gave him a great headache when they tried to get him to meet with another "candidate" and no he wasn't interested in men Jiequan stop asking).

Goumang:Fine but if you pass out don't expect me to help you get back to dorms. You're on your own.

Yi:You think you can keep up with me?(Yi may not look like it but he did outdrink everybody. Ok, almost everybody, the amount of wine Ji drank is scientifically impossible and yet it happened. How did he drink 2 times the body weight of Kuafu is beyond him but honestly he's to scared to ask).

Goumang:Is that a chalenge, shorty?

Yi:I don't know, do you accept it?(Yi was honestly too tired to even question why did he agree to this. He already got stuck for several days while trying to fix many Bugs and glitches in the new systems. Overworking himself and when he was done the Kuafu asked him nicely to come help with something that something being Kuafu playing matchmaker with him. Kuafu might be one of the only friends he has in the council but sometimes his nagging reminds him too much of a mother hen.

Goumang:You're dead.

Spongebob narrator voice:3 bottles later

Goumang(absolutely wasted):I never envied somone as much as I envy you right now. That's why I hate you!

Yi(Dazed after Goumang rant about how much she hates him for taking away her teacher and a rolemodel she never had as a child):...I never felt like I deserved it.

Goumang:...Hah?

Yi(tipsy):I mean yeah I kinda understand that Eigong is interested in me but I never really felt as if I deserved to be in a council or rather not as fast as I did. Like everyone there feels like an hyperinteligent monster. Kuafu helped recreate entire rhizomantic tower system, a technology that was lost after Lear turned his back on science. We had next to nothing about them in terms of technicalities and we were left with their ruins and he reverse engineered entire thing. Jiequan is heir of the kingdom that sparked entire science revolution during the warring era and despite its falls from grace is still the country where science is most prominent(made it up but if we take into account that transmutation is legal in Jie Kingdom I wouldn't be surprised). Lady Ethereal helps created technology that can make mental images into computer ones many of the modern system run on her research. Fuxi and Nuwa basically financed the entire thing while supporting Feng clan which is quite a feat. Yanlao for as much as I hate him is very knowledgable about history and his collection has a lot of past technologies so at least he's useful. Eigong is the leader of entire council, my teacher and knows about science more then all of us. And as for you...

Goumang:...WELL?!

Yi:Your research into biotechnology did basically feed half the Penglai. And you were here before me. So lucky, you were already here making people life easier with science. While I was making small experiments surrounded by ignorant folk and my first experiment almost killed me. Taken under Eigong wings only becouse I survived.

Goumang:...Now you're just trying to make me feel bad about myself for bashing heads with you.

Yi:I see no point in lying about it. Also we should stop here before you forget how to walk.

Goumang(reaches for the fourth bottles):Is that a chalenge?

Yi:Well you said you won't carry me but I can't exactly carry you either.

Goumang:Hah weakling.

Yi(while taking bottle from her):Lightweight.

Goumang:Well now look at us, talking as if were friends.

Yi:Are we?

Goumang:I don't know you're still an annoying shortstack but at least I know you a little bit more then "mr. Steal your teacher"

Yi:...What does that mean?!

Goumang:Do you not know what is a meme?

Yi:(slightly embarrassed)...No.

Goumang:...huh...(hysterical laughter)

Yi:...Yeah that's enough wine for you today.

Scenario 2 "friendly rivaly"

Context:Its been two weeks since Goumang and Yi's heart to heart, and they haven't argued with eachother. No bickering, not even a verbal jab.

Yi:Huh...maybe Heng was right sometimes being honest can make miracles happen. I jinxed it didn't I.

Ruyi:Master Yi am I interrupting something?

Yi:You didn't Ruyi, what is it?

Ruyi:Eigong wished to meet you here in your lab.

Yi:Why my lab specifically.

Ruyi:she didn't mention a reason just that she wanted to speak with you. From her tone I imagine it to be rather important or maybe very personal.

Yi:...Ok, when?

Ruyi:Right now.

Yi:Wait, she's waiting under our door! Why didn't she knock?

Ruyi:She did. Four times infact. However you weren't reacting my Lord, you were just staring into workshop wall.

Yi(in a whisper):Why do I feel existencial dread, its like that one time my mom called me 3 times and I didn't answer.

Ruyi:...should I let her in my lord?

Yi: ah! Yes yes.

Eigong:Hello Yi.

Yi:Good morning, teacher.

Eigong:Its noon Yi.

Yi:Good afternoon then, what is it you wished to talk about.

Eigong:Lets sit Yi.

Yi:Very well. Abacus prepare tea.

Ruyi:Understood-

Eigong:It won't be necessary. I'm just here to ask Yi a question. ... What happened?

Yi:... Teacher may you elaborate?

Eigong:You haven't bickered with eachother and Im a bit worried for relationship of my Students. So what happened? Did you two fight.

Yi:Are you talking about me and Goumang? Nothing happened we just talked with eachother and came to an understanding.

Eigong:Was there a misunderstanding between you I wasn't aware of?

Yi:...Ok, with all due respect teacher. Relationship between me and Goumang was nonexistent up until two weeks ago.

Eigong:???

Yi:Frankly we hated eachother. Well more like she hated me but I was just adding oil to the fire.

Eigong:But you were bickering like an old married couple.

Yi:Yes we... Hold on did you think our screaming matches were just friendly "bickering".

Eigong:...(Nods).

Yi:...And Kuafu calls me the densest guy on all of Penglai.

Eigong:What Kuafu Has to do with anything?

Yi:Absolutely nothing. Going back to your question teacher all you need to know is that we explained stuff between eachother and we won't bicker as much.

Eigong:I'm unsure if that should calm me down or make me more worried.

Yi:...Anything Else?

Eigong:No this will be all thank you for your time Yi.

Yi:No problem teacher.
