here for nothing but the old mcu and the at least endearing mess that it used to be

scarlet johannson did not spend an entire decade fighting tooth and nail to make natasha into an actual character instead of the sex object writers wanted her to be while also having to endure the most vile, misogynistic questions during press tours for people to now disrespect her legacy because yelena is 'better'. the only reason why that is, is because of everything scarlet went through. natasha singlehandedly paved the way for every other female superhero in the mcu and don't you forget that

“Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions. [It] involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings.”

The way comics right now are literally showing even without evil influence, a Wanda who survived the mountain being brought down in multiverse of madness and was arrested/imprisoned by the tva still acts like she did nothing wrong and still acts like her actions are on the same level as Doctor Strange. Because ah yes, trying to help a teenager whose life has been ruined in every area and he's being basically treated like a criminal for a crime he didn't commit is totally comparable to taking a town hostage even after becoming aware of what magic did in grief and in its aftermath, going on to try and kidnap and kill a child for her magic just so Wanda can then go and kill a counterpart of hers and kidnap her counterparts kids! Totally comparable guys. Seriously, as stupid as the overall mind wipe at the end of No Way Home was still...alongside a-lot of the movie basically, at least Peter took responsability for his actions via that of messing up Strange's spell in the first place and causing the multiverse shit to happen- Wanda meanwhile seems completely allergic to taking responsability for any of her actions.

Scarlet wanted to be good though, and she was, so she can’t pretend to be something she already is, she was robbed and grieved for her mother, father, brother, husband, and sons. Everyone who ever loved her died and that’s why she’s seen as a “villain”, because no one was left to see her good. She was just trying to get it back.
A person who murdered dozens of people in one day because they stood up for a CHILD she wanted to murder - is not good. A person who terrorized an entire city by mentally torturing them so much that they begged for death - is not good. A person who unleashed a furious Hulk on Johannesburg with full premeditation - is not good. A person who joined a neo-Nazi organization of their own free will - is not good.
Peter, Bucky, Rocket, Drax, Thor - they all also lost EVERYTHING and did not murder or torture people for a moment in the name of their own happiness. So the fact that Wanda suffered losses - is absolutely no excuse for her. And if she justifies hurting a lot of people with her own harm - she is a villain.

You all rejoicing about Loki's return have a faith in marvel I do not have. I do not trust them to do anything but kill him in a 30 second scene so they are able to freely play with the multiverse again
#yes i would have preferred for him to never come back because if thry bring him back NOW#it's either to kil him or overuse him#my only glimmer of hope is that tom is playing another alternate version of loki but it's never happening#marvel#loki#tom hiddleston#avengers doomsday#text
