Hello! I wanted to request some angst/ hurt no comfort 5 + 1 prompts about a parent and a child. I know you got some 5 + 1 prompts but I was hoping if I could have something more sad. Thank you!

Writing sad things makes me sad... but here are some prompts I could think off for parents and children.

Parent/Child Angst: 5 + 1 Prompts

5 times they tried to give their parent another chance and one time they knew they had to let it go.

5 times they made difficult choices to save their child's ass and one time they realized their child has to experience consequences on their own.

5 times they tried to act like a normal family and one time they stopped trying.

These are so sad, but I hope they are what you were looking for! :)

how to make a character’s death even sadder

kill them off while they’re at their highest, or when things are finally starting to look up for them

make their death a long time coming, such as an illness

bonus points if they’re sick and the story shows their friends trying their best to help them through it

give the character have plenty of screen time before their death

make their death unpredictable, even to the audience

kill them halfway through the story instead of the end to show how the death has affected the other characters

kill them in the middle of their character arc, as they’re about to change for better

make it so the villain means to kill X, but accidentally kills Y instead

have them killed by the person they have a secret crush on

make them fight against their cause of death

make them die in a hard to find location, while also showing their friends looking for them to try to save them

reveal important information about the death to the audience, but not to the characters, if your pov allows it

kill them via betrayal from someone or something they trusted

have them die right after getting married

give the dead character a goal/dream they were super passionate about that they never got to complete

have the toughest, most serious character break down during/after their death

have them confess their feelings to their love interest as they’re dying

give them important information they never got to tell the others, which causes conflict/difficulties during a challenge

have them accidentally kill another character at the same time

such as a car accident

let their death be something that could’ve been prevented

instead of a heroic sacrifice, make their death a cruel casualty, or purely accidental

have their friend convince them to do something they think is harmless at the time, which results in their death

have them die in front of their pet, who comforts them as they die

cause an argument/conflict between the dead character and another character right before the character dies

bonus points if you include another character saying “i never got to apologize/i never got to tell them _____” and then break down crying, being comforted by someone else

Princess x Knight Prompts

The knight liked his jobs as the personal guard of the princess. What he did not like was when she escaped his watch to get into trouble.

When the princess goes missing, all the knights in the kingdom swarm out to find her and bring her back. One knight gets a surprise when he finds her happy and healthy and not wanting or needing to be saved.

The princess was distraught, when all the boys became squires and she was learning embroidery. So one of the boys snuck her out to teach her everything he learned from the older knights.

Everyone knew the princess was smitten with the knight, when she kept giving him her handkerchiefs as a token for the tournaments. What they didn’t know was that there were always secret messages embroidered in the fabric.

It was supposed to be just a scenic ride through the woods, but after being attacked by bandits and the knight single-handedly defeating the attackers, the princess enjoys having the opportunity to thank her knight in shining armor by tending to his wounds.

The knight doesn’t know when it started, but every time he is on night watch, the princess joins him for a talk, claiming she is just unable to fall asleep.
