tidbits of info from the auction props
I thought I'd collect a few little bits of info about character names/addresses etc from the photos of the props in the auction together into one post.
(just a note: it's worth remembering that props are usually not expected to be seen on screen, so the info they use isn't always considered canon or 100% accurate.)
Daisy and William's marriage registration:

Daisy's full name is actually Margaret! (If anyone is wondering how Daisy is a nickname for Margaret, Margaret in French is Marguerite, which is also the French word for daisy, so Margaret → Daisy)
Their wedding date is 24th July 1918
The ages here seem a bit off to me. William is 19, making him 13 in the first episode?? That seems too young for a footman. Daisy being 17 at the wedding would also make her 11 in S1, which again seems a little too young.
I've posted about this before but here's more proof that Tom's full name is Thomas Branson.

Here's what appears to be Henry's London address, 24 Kenville Place, SW1 (SW1 covers Westminster)

I think this is the address of Edith's (previously Gregson's) London flat, which is also in Westminster - 12 Clarence Buildings, Shiplake Street, London, W1

And the address for The Sketch offices - 172 Strand

lastly, Marigold's birth certificate!

This lists her legal name is Marigold Shroeder
Gregson is on there as well as Edith (I don't think this had previously been confirmed)
She was born in Bern, Switzerland
Her birthday is 30th January 1923 (the certificate appears to read 1924 but that's impossible with the timeline)
(this also erroneously lists her as a boy - it should be fille not fils)

i think bannister should also be given some credit for saving russell bc if it weren't for him running straight into their house when absolutely nobody asked him, no one would have known dr. kirkland was right across the street. goes to show being nosy can save lives.

Viktoria Maliar - "Her work explores deeply sentimental reflections on the past, bringing imagined figures, evocative settings, and symbolic elements to life. Viktoria’s pieces convey emotions such as joy and melancholy, weaving together personal and collective memories with dreamlike aesthetics. Timeless objects and hazy details capture the fragile beauty of fading moments, celebrating the ways in which memories shape identity and a universal sense of longing."

"Laura and I just have so much fun," says Dockery. "Because we’re like sisters in real life, we have a language and sense of humour that no one really understands. There are times when we catch each other in an in-joke on set and nobody else has any idea of why we’re laughing so much." (x)

I think the servant centric plotline could actually be "it's The End so we can get rid of them".
Bates and Anna decide to finally get their hotel.
Mrs P retires and Daisy becomes the cook.
Carson re-retires and hands over to Andy.
Mrs Hughes retires as well? (esp with Mary taking over as she's not her biggest fan)
It's never explained wtf happened to the screenwriter gig but Molesley and Baxter become butler/housekeeper to Robert and Cora at the dower house.
Downton passes to the next generation downstairs as well as upstairs.
do we think there's gonna be a servant centric plotline in the movie apart from the usual Banna scenes we get? Bc tbh, from what I've seen so far the servants are sidelined really (or becoming increasingly "just there bc we can't get rid of them")
#downton abbey: the grand finale#i really hope daisy isn't pregnant#bc she's never expressed any interest in kids#and it would be nice if not every single character of childbearing age's story ended with babies ever after
