as much as i am aware quadrobics are not what makes someone a therian, it was a huuge part of how i coped during intense shifts & also just how i played, ever since i was a kid. and now i am physically unable to do them anymore because of pain. i am Going To Bite Someone GRGRGRGRGR i feel so Restless and Not Good but the moment i try to even stand up on two legs!! ow. ow ow ow. and my wrists are much more frail </3 i used to be able to jump half my height doing quads. i am mourning that part of me . to be honest

hello! my apologies for the extremely late response, i’ve been logged out of tumblr.

the difference between cladotherianthropy and quitherianthropy is specificity. from what i’ve seen, cladotherians will typically identify as something along the lines of a “canine cladotherian”, (sticking with the same example as the og post), including all or most canines — while a quitherian may only identify as a “wolf quitherian”, including all or most subspecies of wolves but not domestic dogs, coyotes, etc. it’s definitely under a cladotherian umbrella!

as @smol-paw mentioned, i hadn’t heard of pantherianthropy when coining this! so if they are the same thing, that is a complete accident and i did not mean in any way to override/rename a pre-existing identity.

The term was created by strayhounds (me!) on Tumblr (it/its) after it felt its experiences did not align with normal therianthropy, nor the classic definition of cladotherianthropy. Wanting to create a label that described its experiences in more detail, it coined quitherianthropy in April of 2023.

hi tumblr!! i think this is my third “hi it’s been a while”, but i actually plan to stick around this time lmao. i probably won’t be as active as i used to be, but hey, i’m here!

i’ve done a lot of self reflection in my time away, and while still trying to figure myself out mostly, i think i’ve come to the conclusion i am indeed crowkin (as well as caninekin still, but crow is definitely more prominent).

like i said, it’s been a long time since i’ve been on this blog at least, and i learned how tumblr works on a different one in my time away from strayhounds,, so i never really made any close mutuals or anything i can return to here. i’d love to make more friends that are also corvids !! but also just other alterhumans/nonhumans in general, so that’s mostly why i tagged it a lot. i haven’t had much interaction at all with other alterhumans/nonhumans in a long time, so this is sort of just a call to do so !! anyway i hope u all have a good day/night <33

i am a dog (particularly in the Genre ™️ of gsds, huskies, and wolfdogs). i heavily identify with the term “caninekin” as a whole, though, since i haven’t really been able to pin down a specific breed yet. i have always thought myself to be a psychological therian but i am also looking more into the fact it may have spiritual ties too. oh and i’m questioning otherkin and fictionkin (separate) but i have a shitload of mixed feelings about thag in relation to myself so ummm yeah.

crazy how a term i invented for myself that ended up not applying to me ended up becoming something other people use. i never thought it would gain any traction or really be used by anyone but myself, and i thought when i stopped using it it would just go to die — but no. like that’s. wow (in a good way).
