New music has be unlocked!
Music plays a big part in a video games. It sets the mood for each scene/part of the game. It helps stir emotions within the player and it just generally makes a game unforgettable.
I recently finished playing Fatal Frame 4 or zero tsukihami no kamen as it's known in Japan, for the wii.
A great game in the Fatal Frame series but most memorable is it's music. From the general unsettling themes of corridors to an epic ceremony song during the last boss battle.
Even the song used in the credits is noteworthy. Artist Amano Tsukiko loaned the rights to her songs including "Zero no Chouritsu" "Noise" and a few others.
I get a lot of my music from games, so when a game like Fatal Frame 4 comes around I purchase a copy of the OST for my own music collection.
But in the past few months I've been getting into a habit. I think a more satisfying way of listing to music from a game, is to just deprive yourself from listing to the accompanied soundtrack and only let yourself listen to it if you defeat the game.
I feel this is a good way to encourage yourself to finish a game and not get distracted by other game or what have you.
Also it's just more satisfying when you beat a game this way, because you reward yourself with music rather than something like food, alcohol, cigarettes etc.
I've done this with a few games such as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and let me tell you it's well worth it.
Just being able to hear that awesome music, and just being able to reflect on the game itself and what you have accomplished is just an amazing feeling.
So next time you start a game, deprive yourself of the music from the game and give yourself that little bit of that extra reward.
Thanks for reading,
Jeremy Stanton

Inspired by Playstation Memories, this is 4 the players.
A Really well done advertisement for Playstation 4 by Sony, brings back the nostalgic memories for me. I can’t bare to think what we will look like when Playstation 9 comes around. :P
Some favorite games shown in this Ad include Tekken 2 for PS1, Resident Evil 4 for PS2 and a Little big planet poster for PS3.
Any of your favorite games, memorabilia or devices shown in this Ad?
