Don't ever be too early for a date it makes you look to eager.

Instead always get your date to wait for you as this sets precedent that you are worth the wait and will deliver in due time.

The best way to do this is to be fashionably late like this timescale:

6 - 10: Amazing!

10 - 15: Good!

15 - 20: Great!

20 - 25: Ok

BUT after waking up from his nap Angeal is no more, and so I am proposing the following person as his new handler.

A knock sounded at the door and Genesis smiled. Right on time. He opened it with a flourish.

"Ah, the gift of the goddess. Yes you absolutely may come in and spend the night--all the nights you wish," said Genesis, holding a hand out like a gentleman to the slightly surprised Third Class SOLDIER on the other side of the door.

Cloud, bless his fair mountain skin, blushed a little and took Genesis' hand. Genesis bowed over it, placing a soft kiss, and looked up through his fringe in surprise as Cloud shivered at his touch.

"Eager, dear one?"

"No!" Cloud did not like being perceived. "Just cold out here," he muttered, barely audible.

"Then come in and warm yourself."

Ah, Cloud, the spiky bundle of contradictions: too shy to admit he was cold out loud, but so bold as to immediately worm his way under Genesis' plush, red house robe as soon as he was in the door.

"Little bird, your talons are ice," said Genesis, hissing as Cloud's frosty fingers found their way around his waist.

"Dorm showers were cold. Just got off patrol, showered, came here."

"I see your hair is dry, did you...?"

"Yeah," said Cloud, and Genesis caught a hint of a blush again, even from the awkward angle. "Used your materia hack. Thanks."

"My little bird," cooed Genesis, stroking his hair.

"Not little."

"Of course. I have warm cider, pajamas warming above the heater, and several nest options inside; take off your shoes."

Cloud grumbled about having to let go, about having to shed layers, and about Genesis' "smug mug", but he complied. Genesis offered, with much quirking of the eyebrows, to help Cloud change clothes, but was shoved out of the bathroom. His chocobo was single-minded tonight, it seemed!

Ah well, snacks and cider. After considering his options, Genesis decided to set things up in his room, so they could cuddle and watch movies from his large four-poster bed. Red sheets and drapes, of course.

"Eep!" squawked Genesis. How had that little shit snuck up on *him*, the great Genesis Rhapsodos?! Genesis looked down to find a bunch of spikes daring him to say anything. "Alright, alright, but let me get in bed before you go full limpet."

"Hmph," said Cloud, and let Genesis climb in first, before diving in after and apparently trying to merge every inch of them together. "You're like a space heater," he mumbled, nuzzling his frigid nose into Genesis' neck.

"Only for you, darling. Loveless or R-"

"Robin Hood. The fox one. Looks like you."

"You are a little shit and I think you know it."

"Yours."

"Mine."
