Knowing that Darren was probably in the kitchen, Chris decided to check there first, but was blindsided when he passed the couch and soon found himself laying on the floor, Darren on top of him. He laughed as his boyfriend wished him a happy birthday and helped him to his feet. "Thanks, babe," he replied, still chuckling. "So what did you decide to make?"
"And my boyfriend acts like he's five, so really I could say the same thing," Chris joked, regaining his balance. When Darren told him he had opted for pizza, Chris wasn't too surprised. Darren really was awful at cooking. "I do get a cake too, right?"
"So far, twenty-two just feels like whatever getting a tattoo feels like, I guess." Darren's wink didn't go unnoticed. "Unless I'm missing out on something..."

He parked his car in the space that had quickly become his, noticing that his hip was still a little sore as he got out of the car. It wasn’t a big deal though. His hip piercings had hurt much worse. In no time, he was at Darren’s door. Not bothering to knock, he turned the knob and walked in.
