I like hurting my own feelings!

This isn’t about Sally being worse than Amy, or the other way around. It’s about Arthur: how he saw Sally through his hurt pride and pain of (perceived) rejection, never really beyond the mask he believed she wore. To him, she was betrayal and her fight for survival was manipulation. Back when they were children, and when they finally saw each other again. No matter how hard she tried to reach him, their relationship remains stained due to Arthurs perception of her.

Amy though, offered a clean slate. She taught him vulnerability, helped him see the quiet resilience women carry in their world. Through her, Arthur began to understand not just others, but himself. Sally became the past he hadn’t made peace with; Amy, the friend and future he was learning to trust. Sally never got the understanding she deserved, Arthur never got the clarity he seeked,even if by his own doing.
