As my career is growing, I’ll be showcasing my work here in this repair blog. I am a Straubinger Certified flute specialist and I work on all levels and all sizes of flutes. Btw serial numbers will always be removed for privacy with my extremely subpar editing skills.

A quick emergency repair on an Edward Almeida flute today. Hoping I’ll get to spend more time with it another day.
Back to my piccolo Straub conversion in the meantime! I got the body oiled up last night so it’s tone hole Tuesday today!

We have fire power! Another new addition to round out my growing home tooling.
Looking forward to tracking some personal projects soon. The cobblers children have the worst shoes and that sure applies to repair, my personal instruments need and deserve some TLC. Here’s what we have on the docket:
-My mothers clarinet
-Emerson Boston Legacy Straubinger Conversion
-A COA on my beloved Brannen
Looking forward to sharing these projects!

I’m starting a new separate blog for my growing high end flute repair work. Hopefully I’ll be sharing projects as they come across my bench along with some tips, tricks, and information about flutes and my industry. Looking forward to sharing more of my work!
To kick things off here’s a recent COA (clean, oil, & adjust) from the last month. A Keefe piccolo with a Mancke headjoint. You don’t get nicer than this! A dream to work on and an absolute joy to play.

I’ll sign off with a friendly reminder that repair shops get quite busy in the summer. Late July, August, and September we have full shelves of endless school repairs. By comparison, right about now through early June is a great time to jump in line before the rush.
