Full disclosure: I don't ALWAYS wear stilettos while studying. But I do always love baking, words, holidays, T-Swift, lots of television, big books, traveling, staying at home, pretty clothes, critters, feminism, old films, new films, bones, monkeys, music, polka dots...

Spirits of the forest, I pronounce my intentions to thee. Come forth and seek me, and equal we will be. Not master and servant, but familiar to familiar, to share our knowledge, our spirit and our traits. — Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 1, episode 1.

“Perhaps, deep down, society has a tendency to see intellectual bonds between women as a threat (…) We are not comfortable with the idea that women seek out relationships with other women for intellectual and professional gain.” I’d also add that the very idea of friendship between women is contested, with many societies outright claiming it’s impossible - that two women will never be true friends, that they will always be insincere and secretly hate and long to destroy the other. Which is in direct contradiction with the experiences of many, many women.

Quote
October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Madam Pomfrey, the nurse, was kept busy by a sudden spate of colds among the staff and students. Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid’s pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds.
