yet another insanely hot day & spending it in the library that is freezing cold...but I actually managed to get myself out of the house earlier than I normally do!
goals for the day:
spend at least 30 minutes working on some revisions of a term paper for my preliminary exams ✗
korean vocab review & move on to my next grammar lesson ✓
daily wanikani lesson/review ✓
japanese reading or writing practice (whichever I feel called to in the moment) ✗
continue working on my lit search for my research (I don't know what I'm doing ever with this so I don't really have a set end goal for the day...) ✓
get in some more reading for my lit review (at least 2 papers?) ✗
I always feel like this is never enough work I should be doing...but summer is so lonely and honestly boring, this is the most I usually have energy for so I'll try not to feel too guilty!
log: I forgot about an online appointment I had today that took some time this afternoon, and considering what time I started this morning I think a lot of this was overly ambitious and thus did not get done...however, I did get into a nice flow of focus working on my lit search and I think I'm finally (I hope) starting to figure out how to master the database searching so I can finish my collection and start filtering papers...let's hope my adviser agrees!! so glad tomorrow is friday and my goal is to get to campus much earlier (and bring extra snacks this time!)

☆ intro ☆
hello! I'm Sarah and I'm re-entering the studyblr community after a few years for motivation and accountability :)
a little about me:
26, she/her
linguistics PhD student !!
my first language is English but I speak intermediate(?) Japanese (still studying!) and I've also started studying Korean
I studied abroad in Japan and taught English there for a couple of years after graduation
outside of my studies I enjoy reading, listening to a wide range of music genres, being outside in anyway I can, playing animal crossing, and art (mostly viewing, sometimes making it poorly)
I'm a devoted atiny (hence my blog name, you might guess my bias from my pfp)
some other info:
I prefer to only interact with folks my age (over 21) ♡︎
I'm not sure yet if I'll be posting many photos, it might be mainly text-based
I'm friendly and love to connect with others !!

i finally bought a keyboard and mouse! i always saw them on posts here on studyblr or in youtube videos and it looked so cute and super practical, espacially for my ongoing online studies so i decided to treat myself! i’m currently typing on the keyboard and i really like it so far. :)
it makes studying and working more fun when you’re typing on a cute keyboard hehe ;)

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again”

february productivity challenge, day 19: what's your go-to take out?
my two favourite take out orders in town are a burrito bowl with extra guac from a local mexican joint or sushi from my favourite sushi restaurant!!
bit of a short caption today because i had a full day’s shift at work and i’ve just been taking it easy for the evening
