-Casually rises from the grave- 

-Iv’e found my muse coming back after what I think has been months. With the lack of SU content I’ve admittedly let my SU muses slip and to be honest I hate that I have. For about a month I’ve wanted to return, my Garnet muse especially picking up pace again. 

I’m worried about coming back for fear of what will become of me once this weekly set of episodes ends. However, I’m to the point where this is something I need back in my day to day life. To interact with everyone here in this community and the remember and relive those many good times.- 

-So I guess this is me saying... It’s good to be back-

"Garnet..." The Pearl's eyes narrowed at her foe, a once beloved friend turned despicable. "You know why I'm here. Prepare to have your kinks shamed."

With a quick summon of her gauntlets, she is prepared for the onslaught. 

“It will take a lot to have my kinks get shamed, Pearl. I don’t think you can handle it.”

"What do you think about before you fall asleep?"

“Hmm? Well... When I do sleep, I tend to think about the people I care about. Sometimes my future vision leaks in and it gets a little weird.”

Garnet comments with a small chuckle as she thinks back to the few nights she had chosen to sleep.

Garnet commented with a small smile creasing her lips.

“I try my best.”

She said with a wider smile than before, feeling a bit prideful at the small ego boost Peridot had given her. Even then she was always worried about her leadership skills and that she would never even compare to how great a leader Rose had been. 

 Peridot let Garnet pick them up, and corrected them. Tey were wondering why it was just a touch uncomfortable, they’d been hugging backwards….they’d tried.

“This makes much more sense.”

They  wrapped their arms around Garnet again, resting their head on her shoulder, but in a much more comfortable way, grinning again. They felt better now, and it had only been a simple conversation. They didn’t want to let go just yet, or ever, really.

“..Thanks, Garnet. It means a lot that you’re being patient with me. You’re a much better leader than Yellow Diamond, in that respect.”

“Take all the time you need. Figuring yourself out can take time... It did for me.” 

Garnet explained as she let out a soft chuckle at how Peridot had attempted a hug. With a small little, humored sigh she easily picked them up and turned them around to be facing her now.

“Here. This is how a hug should really work.” 

With that she wrapped her arms around Peridot and gave them a hug that was to the same caliber as the hugs she would give to Steven. 

Peridot listened to Garnet, and as the hand came up to pat their hair, they grinned, lopsided, but it was genuine.

“That sounds reasonable, and doable. Maybe I just need more time to understand Earth and myself. I’m still not entirely sure how to use the freedom given to me here, or the boundaries that come with it.”

They had literally pushed Greg off a roof, they were clueless. After they spoke, though, they decided to at least try and hug Garnet, though they weren’t sure how well it went since they had to rest their head on garnet’s shoulder to do so. Even though they were probably doing badly, it felt warm.

“There isn’t really a way to practice... You just have to let yourself be comfortable. Not only with the situation and the implication of fusing but...” 

Her voice dropped to nearly a whisper as one of her hands came up and gently patted at Peridot’s pointed hair. 

“You also have to be comfortable with yourself.” 

Peridot was relaxing more, appreciating the comfort, and how Garnet was speaking. They knew they should trust Garnet - she’d only ever acted violent when she’d needed to, when Peridot was trying to kill them all. On the moon, too, but they’d deserved that.

“Thank you, Garnet.” 

They smiled a bit, it was a little wonky, but they were trying.

“But, is there any way I can ‘practice?’ I want to be able to fuse. If you do it all the time, it must be great - even more than that. I also want to understand, and I want to learn.”
