listen.
it’s 100% okay if you don’t like the way someone draws a character. if you don’t like genderbending, or racebending, or, idk, weightbending, whatever the hell you wanna call it–if you don’t like when people change a character’s canon appearance in their art, that’s fine. we all have things that we like and dislike.
but, mate, it ain’t a big deal. it really ain’t a big deal when some sixteen-year-old artist on tumblr draws a character differently. it doesn’t change the character’s canon appearance. it has no actual impact on the canon representation that character provides. most of the time, it’s not done with malicious intent–it’s done to explore, or for fun, or for experimentation, or maybe just because someone is still learning how to draw/color certain things in their style.
an artist drawing a fat character slightly less fat than they are canonically isn’t killing anyone. it literally is not. y’all put way too much stock into what people post on tumblr.com, as if this is some kind of worldwide phenomenon that everyone pays attention to and cares about and not a website with a steadily declining userbase that people often warn others away from due to its shit community.
trust me, almost no one in the real world gives a shit about what people are doing on here or about this site in general. the things that are posted on here very, very rarely receive any sort of attention outside of the site. the crewniverse aren’t going to see garnet drawn just a shade too light and say, “y’know what? let’s make all the crystal gems white cis straight women.”
if you, personally, don’t like someone’s art, okay. own that. it’s perfectly fine. you don’t have to dress it up as some kind of half-assed attempt at social justice to justify your dislike for their art. you have preferences and pet peeves, that’s completely fucking normal.
you don’t need to make a social justice issue out of a sixteen-year-old drawing rose quartz ever so slightly thinner than her canon appearance. it accomplishes nothing. literally nothing. it exists to make you feel better and morally superior.
that’s it.
now stop harassing and suicide baiting artists, you fucks.

Note
what is your stance on third wave feminism?
I think it’s unnecessary as a movement in developed countries such as the US; there are certainly some instances in which maybe some minor social inequalities become present at times, but that can be said for both genders

aave shouldnt even be a thing. if its insensitive dont say it. its kinda like these days people are actively seeking out things to be offended about. i doubt anybody outside of tumblr gets offended by the word "y'all."
why would I let myself be bothered by someone who thinks “y'all” is AAVE? 😆

well apparently im racist for not supporting a racist terrorist group, and im misogynist for not following in the footsteps of misandrists. Most likely homophobic for not being LGBTQIA+, transphobic for not being trans, and the list could go on. you tumblrinas and your double standards. sheesh.
your reply to that "boys deserve love too" post is just ridiculous. of course it doesnt specify between trans/gay/bi men or whatever the heck you want because they. mean. ALL. boys. if you wanna talk about how much positivity boys get, try living in my shoes. people like you are why I dont label myself a feminist. boys deserve love. everybody deserves love. please learn that.
Normally, I’d be mean to you, but since you’re 15, I’m going to skip that. Now, on one hand, I could waste my time telling you that men, as a class, are not oppressed. I could type out all the ways that women are, as a class, oppressed. I could teach you about the different levels that people interact with each other, I could enumerate the different ways women experience oppression, and I could explain why your individual experience is not representative of men (or boys) as a whole. I could explain that Tumblr is not the only website or site of social interaction in the world, that your white, Western experience is not indicative of how men and women are treated as a class, that maybe, just maybe, you are missing some of the nuance and subtlety of this debate, and that perhaps you should hit the books before you try to talk about things you clearly don’t understand.
But then again, you are a 15 year old self-described misogynist and racist, so I think I’ll go ahead and let your self-diagnosed identity as ‘cis scum’ speak for itself.
