JAY-Z, Solange, the legendary “Queen of Creole Cuisine” Leah Chase, and Beyoncé, photographed while dining at the iconic Dooky Chase’s Restaurant in New Orleans on Wednesday.
The upstairs meeting room at the restaurant was once a key spot for discussing issues of civil and economic rights in African-American communities in New Orleans and across the country. Frequent visitors to the upstairs meeting room included Martin Luther King Jr. and Thurgood Marshall, and NOLA freedom fighters Reverend Avery Alexander, Oretha Castle Haley, Rudy Lombard, Virginia Durr, Jerome Smith, and Reverend A.L. Davis. The restaurant was also the first art gallery for Black artists in New Orleans.

This Goes out To My BROOKLYN CREW! #BROOKLYNGIRL IN #jamaica 1st time using @unicehair... I loved it while on Vacation!! I do recommend you guys getting better quality closures , the hair worked really well once I managed it with herbal essence curl defining Gel to tone down the frizz! It's soft and manageable... I have to say I've gotten a lot of compliments while on vacation with this hair, minimal shedding, didn't dry out after the pool, the curl comes back if you want to wear it straight, very easy to manage I just twisted at night and put that bonnet right on✅! #unicehair #Peruviandeepwave #vacationHair #curlyhair #wet #Brooklyn #jamaica #grandpalladiumjamaica

Many believe the definition of a feminist is A mean green Anti-men gang. Absolutely not! We LOVE our man. We also would LOVE to be respected as the REASON for life. The only objective here is to gain the ability to be judged by the content of our character. Whether the conversation is Feminism, BLM, LGBT, or faith, Choice does not mean hate for the opposition but the right to equality. Let's empower equal opportunities based on knowledge and experience and nothing else. Let's encourage the equal opportunity to believe what we choose to believe and love who we choose to love peacefully without restrictions. Let's stop the judgement based on the color of skin we see and try looking deeper for once. Let's stop the pre-convinced notions and mind our damnnnnn business. That is the only way we can make this world great again. 🌺 Tops available at www.Laurencaress.com
