Nike Only Made 25 Pairs of These Exclusive Air Force 1s
NYC-based artist Aurora Anthony is gaining attention through both his music and his streetwear brand 100 Wolves, so much so that Nike just hooked him up with a friends-and-family exclusive Air Force 1.
Designed to coincide with the release of his album Tunde, Aurora Anthony’s 100 Wolves x Nike Air Force 1 Low pays respect to his Nigerian heritage. It uses white and green as its base colors—a reference to the country’s flag—as well as black on the sole and details. A personal touch is added at the heel of the shoe, which features 100 Wolves logo embroidery on the outer sides while the right heel tab is embroidered with the name of the album in red.
Sources tell Complex that just 25 pairs of this 100 Wolves x Nike Air Force 1 Low were created.
“I inverted [the flag colors] and made the inner tack in the shoes and the lock-up green with suede to show the luxury of where I’m coming from,” Aurora Anthony tells African magazine Native. “I want everyone to have an all-white shoe and feel comfortable owning an all-white shoe without having the problems of wearing an all-white shoe.”
This isn’t the first time the rapper has worked with Nike. In addition to community initiatives and modeling work, Aurora Anthony participated in the custom Cultivatator Series in 2018, where he created a white-and-green tumbled leather Air Force 1 High (pictured below).

Nike Rekindles Their Love Of Mushrooms With This Ombré-Accented Air Force 1
Though not quite as prevalent as their nods to fruits, Nike has a long-running history of celebrating the humble mushroom. Alongside the more notable Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4, the fungi has also dressed the Blazer Mid, providing it details a touch more literal. And many of these, including the overall colorway, reappear in 2022 by way of this newly surfaced Air Force 1.
Similar to the court classic, the Air Force 1 applies a subtle Ombré to its overlays. The leathers, from the top, start a saturated brown that progressively fades whiter and whiter. Its color never goes fully neutral, though, allowing each panel to stand out against thee fixtures that do, such as the rib knit, midsole, lining, and tongue adjacent. Black also appears atop, coloring in the Swoosh, heel tab, and the many mushrooms that grow nearby.
Enjoy an official look at these below. Sizes are likely to appear on Nike.com and select retailers within the coming months.

Release Info for the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Black"
Patta and Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.98%) made big time moves in the world of footwear in this latter half of 2021 thanks to its handsome bunch of collaborative Air Max 1 releases. And after executing launches of the “Monarch,” “Noise Aqua” and “Rush Maroon” renditions, we’ve now arrived at the fourth and final installment of this series: the “Black” colorway. The makeup was first introduced to the world by Union LA owner Chris Gibbs, and now its official release info has been announced.

Stark white accents distribute to the Swooshes, collars and eyelets, while the breathable mesh underlays are treated with a muted gray skin. A touch of vintage flair is shown here via the midsoles which are covered in “Coconut Milk” while the treading is produced with a yin and yang aesthetic.

Where To Buy The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Marina Blue”
Initially teased all the way back in August 2021, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Marina Blue” (now that’s a mouthful) is finally arriving stateside on February 16th.
Set to arrive in adult and kids’ sizing, the retro shares some similarity to the Air Jordan 1‘s original “Royal” colorway from 1985, but it’s unapologetically its own style. “Black” smooth, synthetic leather sets the stage for a rich, deep blue tone that overtakes most overlays around the forefoot, at the mid-foot and across the heel. “Wings” insignias on the lateral ankle flap revert to the darkest of the two colors, while “NIKE AIR”-branded labels on the tongue opt for “Dark Marina Blue” flair. Lastly, made-for-basketball sole units round out the predominantly dark color scheme with a contrasting “White” look that matches the additional set of laces included with the shoes.
Enjoy detailed product shots from Sneaker Politics here below, as you wait to try your luck at a pair(s) via Nike SNKRS on Wednesday, February 16th.

Nike SB Dresses This Dunk in New York Mets Colors
The Philadelphia Phillies won’t be the only MLB team that has inspired an upcoming Nike SB Dunk makeup.
Joining the Phillies-colored SB Dunk Low is this New York Mets-inspired SB Dunk High, pictured here via of @Solebyjc on Instagram. Like the Phillies-inspired makeup, there are no official markings or logos on the sneaker linking it to the Mets.
Still, the shoe dons the team’s signature color combination of blue and orange on the Swoosh branding and tongue tag. Further connecting it to the Mets is the 7 subway line to Citi Field behind the right tongue and a graphic of the “Big Apple” on the left pair. Capping off the look is a white midsole and a gum outsole with a pink bubblegum-inspired accent on the heel, a detail also seen on the “Phillies” version.
Despite an early look from Solebyjc, release details for this Mets-inspired Nike SB Dunk High have not yet been announced by the brand. Check back soon to Sole Collector for official updates in the coming months.

Breaking Down StockX’s Entry Into Sneaker NFTS
Last week, StockX announced that it was getting into NFTs. This is a big deal for both the crypto and sneaker communities, as it leaves an indelible mark on what’s to come by bringing both worlds together.
With brands like Nike and Adidas already having NFT projects under their belts, it makes sense for the mammoth reseller marketplace to enter the fold as well. Comparatively, StockX is setting itself up for its marketplace to host a few different deliverables with NFTs and sneakers that other companies haven’t quite tackled yet.
StockX’s first NFT venture is Vault, which uses tokens as a representation of authenticity and provenance for its sneaker resale market. This is helpful for those who flip sneakers as a speculative asset, where it eliminates having to send authenticated shoes back and forth.
StockX is hoping to use NFTs as a tool to reward top-dollar spenders and collectors. For its first reward, StockX held a giveaway of eight Kaws figurines that only NFT holders could enter. The idea of using NFTs as a way of gating-off and rewarding super-fans has been a growing trend, with StockX looking to utilize its strong community of collectors to reward behaviors those people are already engaging in.
With a heavy emphasis on Vault for its entry into NFTs, StockX’s execution of tying NFTs to sneakers made sense. However, there are a lot of questions remaining about how people are supposed to behave within this marketplace that differs from how other NFT platforms are set up: How are resellers supposed to price-in this “value add” of an NFT? What NFTs will be sold separately from sneakers? Will users be able to resell NFTs they buy off StockX on other platforms like OpenSea? Let’s break down what we know.
StockX announced Vault as its first offering, with more digital assets to come in the future.
Currently, Vault has 559 NFTs tied to sneakers for sale. Editions range from 1-of-1 for the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 3 Retro and Off-White x Nike Dunk Low “Lot 50” to 100 for shoes like the Kaws x Sacai x Nike Blazer Low and white-and-black Nike Dunk Low Retro.
Vault ties NFTs to shoes as a certificate of ownership and authenticity. This helps mitigate the steps of shipping and authentication for people who use StockX with the intent of reselling/trading shoes as alternative assets. For those who actually want to wear the shoes, the NFT is “burned” (where a token is sent to a wallet that can only “receive” them, effectively destroying it), and you can request for the shoes to be shipped (since the token is destroyed, you get the real shoes).

Official Images Of The Nike Dunk Low Retro “University Blue”
The love for “University Blue” is at an all-time, so high in fact this upcoming Dunk Low may just be this year’s finest release. Arriving at the perfect time, the pair leans on both current trends and the silhouette’s extensive archive of colorways. From as far back as 1999, the UNC signature has followed the model throughout the years. And as we’re more accustomed to seeing the Carolina Blue on a high, this forthcoming Low is a solid change of a pace. The shade marks the overlays as expected, turning the Swoosh, toe, and heel into firm Tar Heels supporters. Below, white neutrals dress the foundation, maintaining the classic two-toned aesthetic. The branding on the other hand, while complements in tone, switch things up a bit as their embroideries are subtly degraded. Grab a close-up look via the official images below. A release is expected to hit Nike SNKRS and select retailers on May 20th. Nike Dunk Low "University Blue" Release Date: Jun 24th, 2021 (Thursday) Color: White/University Blue/White Mens: $100 Style Code: DD1391-102
