Initial release: 18 July 2014 (USA)
Director: James DeMonaco
Film series: The Purge
Box office: 111.9 million USD
Budget: $9–11 million
Genres: Horror,Thriller,Action,Science Fiction,Mystery
Kill or be killed isn’t the official tag line of “The Purge: Anarchy,” but it fits. It would also make a more suitable title for this satisfyingly creepy, blunt, down-and-dirty thriller, one of those follow-ups that improves on the original. The only thing that appears to be keeping the peace and assuring prosperity is the government-sanctioned annual bloodletting, that one night a year in which the citizenry can run amok without punishment. The word anarchy is purely superfluous.

Release date: 7 September 2017 (Philippines)
Director: Andrés Muschietti
Box office: 700.4 million USD
Film series: IT
Budget: 35 million USD
Genres: Horror,Thriller,Adventure,Drama,Mystery
This is a great movie with very minimal scenes with any amount of blood. The only scene which might scare some younger viewers is the part were Georgie gets his arm bitten off and taken by IT but this is the most gruesome part of the movie by far. This movie has some cussing, and one girl (Age 15) smokes in one scene, but doesn't’ have really any terrifying scenes. This movie is a great way to introduce preteens or teens to the horror genre. This is overall one of the greatest horror films i’ve seen. It also has some scenes which show how kids can deal with bullying and other problems they have which also adds a positive aspect to this film. Overall I would recommend this to kids around the age of 11 or 12 and can handle it.

Initial release: April 2018 (South Korea)
Director: John Krasinski
Budget: $17–21 million
Nominations: Academy Award for Best Sound Editing
Screenplay: John Krasinski, Bryan Woods, Scott Beck
Genres: Horror,Science Fiction,Thriller,Drama
A Quiet Place is, simply put, one of the best of the new wave of “Modern Horror.” Most of the jump-scares work very effectively, but the suspense is even better. There’s a whole sequence involving Emily Blunt that is among the most white knuckling scenes I’ve ever seen in a horror film. The acting is truely superb, with standouts being Blunt and Millicent Simmonds, who plays the daughter of Blunt and John Krasinski in the film. I have but one major flaw with this film, and it’s with some jump-scares. As stated before, most of them work, but there are a couple that are false scares and disappointing when compared to the rest that in the movie. Beyond that, this is a must-see and without a doubt one of the best films.
