The Upper Moons Hygiene + Where They Live

This is some headcanons about where the Upper Moons reside and their hygiene. I try to go off canon, and expand on things that are not covered. Enjoy !💋

Nakime + Clones + Kaigaku not included

Kokushibou

-It’s either he’s always on the run, never staying in one place. He appreciates the nature around him and the peace it brings.

-However, if he had to reside somewhere, he would reside in his old house he used to live in during the Sengoku era.

 —I personally headcanon like Muzan, he hates change. It’s seen by him using the same breathing form, same hairstyle, and same clothing. Meanwhile the other demons tend to change their clothing. (Doma as upper 6, or any other demon not wearing the same thing as they were wearing as a human.)

-His hygiene, is absolutely RANCID. 

-He looks clean, but he is not. He probably smells like grass and B/O.

-He takes his ponytail out to redo it, and every time he takes it out of the hair tie, hair falls out.

-It’s probably greasy too. 

Doma

-He canonically lives in his temple. With other people. He’s gone on side quests like housing orphans, and probably has housed homeless people, since he’s actually a compassionate man when you look into his character. But how does he not get caught? He barely changes his form unlike Daki.

-His temple is probably nocturnal. He considers the hours of the night scared.

-In Buddhism, there are many major holidays, and the full moon specifically symbolizes enlightenment.

-For his long nails, pale skin, kanji in his eyes, and fangs, he probably tells his disciples that it’s a gift from God. 

-Doma is canonically clean. He enjoys taking sake baths, which are probably ritual baths. So you know this man smells amazing.

-Also have you seen his hair? You know he probably styles it.

Akaza

-I get major cave vibes from him.

-I can picture the layout: in the cave, there’s some dead bodies of men, and probably a rock wall he punches when he’s angry. 

Outside the cave, there’s a broken old dock that has termites, mold, fungi, and bacteria, overlooking a wide lake.

-He also probably smells like shit.

-He’s constantly training (like Kokushibo), so where is there time to bathe?

-Realistically, he probably would smell like men’s sweat. 

-But there are time from time where he would take a dip in the lake, pants on and all (but not the vest and the prayer beads at his ankles), and swim. 

-When he gets out, he would probably shake the water off like a dog.

Hantengu (I’m not doing the clones because I skipped over that part of the anime)

He probably doesn’t ever leave the infinity castle. 

Like ever. He lives there and Nakime is sick of his BS.

Again, he doesn’t bathe. He probably is too scared of the water like a cat.

He smells like those old people who are cyclists.

Gyokko

He obviously lives in his pot!!! 

No, but seriously, he’s probably all over Japan or something. He canonically sells pots and to make a profit he needs to sell to the country! 

He smells like vinegar. No, he doesn’t smell like kelp or ocean water. He smells like shit, and those two things don’t smell like shit.

He doesn’t really need to bathe. He’s probably submerged in water constantly. But that water is nasty. Cue the smelly sound from SpongeBob.

It probably has dead flies in it too.

Daki

I don’t really have much to say for her.

She lives in the Oiran houses in the entertainment district. And moves houses about a decade (this is canon.)

She CANONICALLY has to smell good, she’s an Oiran for goodness sake! 

We know a lot about her already, so I don’t have much to say.

Gyutaro

Lives inside Daki, canonically.

But he probably smells like shit. 

He smells like old cigarettes and realistically has a Marlboro conservative aunt voice

He had armpit hair (that he didn’t shave) but his hair follicles gave up on him so it fell off.

If he had the choice to live somewhere; it would probably be with his sister, because of their weird ass relationship. (I don’t know I don’t have siblings.
