hm.... this time let's go with boston (i yap about him the most)

-i don't know if i've ever explicitly stated it, but boston is trans (trans man, he/him)

-he could potentially blend in with humans, but refuses to glamor his face fins and gills

-i've mentioned before that he has six sisters; he was closest with his eldest sister since she was pretty much the only one who would listen to him talk about his fascination with humans (even tho she didn't really get it and thought it would get him in trouble one day. which. it kinda did since he left their pod)

-(reanimated heart canon) Boston works at Ragnarok with Black, and recently helped Abel get hired on. he thinks Abel's kinda annoying, but not a complete lost cause (if he did he wouldn't have vouched for him). mainly views Abel as like. a pathetic wet kitten.

When @freezerbnuuy suggested "control" and "comfort" as screenshot prompts, my mind spiraled. 🤍

I mentioned before that I don't ship Finn and Avery - at least not in the traditional sense of falling in love, getting married and starting a family. Their dynamic is not about grand fireworks and big emotions; it's about finding comfort in each other. About healing from the past together. And about all the little things in life that give you hope for better days to come.

We still have a long road ahead until we'll reach this part in The Infected, but the idea of Finn eventually feeling confident enough in his own body and trusting Avery enough to seek out physical intimacy? Ahh~ my heart. 🥹

Also for clarification: Finn is asexual (and likely aromantic). Him wanting to experience these things has nothing to do with sexual desire, but rather a sense of curiosity. Due to his health conditions, he missed out on many experiences that most teenagers have during adolescence. He is also still heavily traumatised by everything regarding Saheen, so physical intimacy is a much bigger challenge for him than for most people. Even if part of him wants to have this experience, there is a constant fear lurking at the back of his mind that things could backfire and trigger a traumatic response.

Even more hours of communication ensuring that Finn not only understands the concept of safewords but also feels comfortable enough to use one if necessary. (Avery is well aware about Finn's tendency to 'just push through' and he's not having that.)

Avery insisting on aftercare with Finn claiming that he doesn't need it ("All you did was some touching. You didn't even f*ck me!") ~ only for Finn to turn into a sobbing mess immediately after, being completly overwhelmed with the situation and them spending the rest of the evening cuddling in bed.
