the last parting between phainon and mydei esp hurts bc we've always seen mydei pulling through when it counts. phainon has gotten so used to him coming back from goodbyes, at the nick of time. mydei left with no regrets but phainon is just full of them. one more goodbye, one more fight, one more bath, one last long talk. maybe even a confession, so that burning feeling in phainon's chest would finally disappear with the taste of sweet bloodwine on his lips instead of the bitter taste of what couldve been but the pain fades slightly when he knows that at the very least, phainon got his mothers signet to mydei. and thats probably the best goodbye gift he could've given him

Holy SHIT this took me days and lots of patience to render, if I also counted how much I have considered to give up this piece 😭😭

Fortunately, I trusted the progress and locked in HARD, ending up being really proud with the outcome :-)

I went for an eerie-ish theme for this art since it’s about Boothill’s reborn, hence why he’s digging up from his grave & the wires being attached on his back hehe
