softboy autobot megatron has truly rotted some of your brains if you genuinely think shit like ‘megatron knows drift better than rodimus’ like u can think rodimus isnt a very good friend, whatever, but are u rly kidding urself that deadlock was anything more to megatron than his most valuable asset in his war. he didnt give a shit about who drift really was, he used his rage to his advantage and exploited it. if anything he wouldve wanted to keep drift as that angry vengeful unhappy bot because that was the drift that was most useful to him- and the entire point of drifts character is that ISNT all he is. that his rage is justified but he cannot let it consume him because it clouds his judgement and true aspirations. megatron knows his anger, he doesnt know drift.

one of my favorite stupid things to do in fanfic is to throw two characters together who literally never interact. and then give them an entire, fleshed-out relationship dynamic that exists nowhere but my own head. yes they’ve literally never spoken. yes their relationship is important to me. hope this helps.
